@Vparisi I googled the EXACT same thing yesterday. So much EWCM, like just when I ovulate normally but x100, apparently it's fairly common & just hormones (makes sense I guess as our body wants to ovulate). Is that what yours is like?
Ooh exciting, I'm hoping for a Friday EC after Wednesday scan but we'll see, I do feel like I'm about to pop though so I'm hoping that means it's working. I've found the fyremadel more painful that the menopur but I think that's because the needles are (or at least feel) bigger to me. We do it at 6.30am too & I'm always slightly concerned DP isn't awake enough to be jabbing about with needles 😂😂 I think on the whole the injections have been better/easier than expected for us - is that how you've found it?
It's only natural to be worried about it not working isn't it? I genuinely feels like it's a toss of a coin when we've been given a % success rate of just over 50%. Obviously that doesn't help with the positivity but I feel I've got to be realistic about it to protect my own sanity 🤷🏼‍♀️ really hoping it will work first time of course 🙏🏼

@Etonmess20 ah I am soo glad to hear it is normal haha, yeah completely same with me. The panty liners are coming in handy for sure haha.

I am definitely about to pop also, I actually look pregnant already haha cos of the massive bloat, which makes me feel a bit excited. I definitely hope you are EC Friday and transfer Tuesday!! Would be so exciting. And hopefully turns out a wonderful present in time for your birthday! Have you got any plans for it? Hope those 6:30am injections are going in properly 😂 are you doing those stomach also? The nurse said to us the instructions say thigh but she recommended stomach.

Yeah have generally found it easier than thought also especially as it has progressed which is strange. Friday was my only really tough day in terms of pain where I left the office to wfh but otherwise have gone about life as normal. Kind of weird when no one knows you're going through this huge thing!

For sure, it is totally normal to worry. I'm trying to stay super positive and am probably getting a bit carried away with all my thinking of how life is going to be next year. Will be crushing if it doesn't work, but soo glad to have this forum ❤ think I would go insane without it!

@Vparisi I was quite concerned initially as I thought I was ovulating so had a quick google & it out my mind at rest! I've also noticed I seem to need the toilet more, probably hormones or less room down there meaning I need to go more!
Yeah I do too, it's reasonably tender as well so trying to be really careful bending down etc. It's making me quite excited too if I'm honest 🥲
Really hoping for Friday 🙏🏼 with transfer Tuesday. Do we know how long OTD will be after that? I've had a Google & it seems different clinics say different things 🤷🏼‍♀️ i worked out if I did Tuesday transfer the. OTD was 11 days after it would be the 4th (day before my birthday 😬)
No plans as far as I know but probably go for dinner somewhere on my actual birthday then ideally want to go in holiday the next week from Wednesday onwards but are going to leave it super last minute & book somewhere green/amber in Europe as we don't really care where as long as it's warm. Either way I could do with a break after all of this 😂
Glad you've perked up from last week! The 6.30am injections are for sure going in, can feel that nice thick needle first thing in the morning 😂😂😂 we decided on stomach too, our nurse didn't suggest either way was better but I'd rather have it in my stomach than leg
Have you sorted a date for your engagement party yet? & do you have any clarity on when you can expect an FET?
Definitely agree on the outcome, I'll be gutted if it isn't what we want but will cross then bridge if we come to it, the dreaming about next year is nice for now & is what's keeping me going!

@Etonmess20 @Vparisi glad all is going well ladies! OTD is 11 days past transfer at guys but I tested at 9 days! I wouldn't recommend any earlier because of the trigger containing hcg and staying in your system for 8 days. Very excited for you both! X

@becarefuloutthere thank you! Me & DP have made a pact for OTD only, I couldn't handle the what ifs! Although I'm sure it'll be famous last words when I get there 😂

They were running 2 hours behind, my anxiety was not ok but soooo relieved now PHEW! We have our Guys one next week … on to the next countdown! So exciting you will be getting all of your eggies out this week! @Vparisi @Etonmess20

@Etonmess20 @Vparisi it so exciting you will have your EC this week! I have everything crossed for you two!
Btw I thought we can change the injection areas (one in the stomach/ one in the leg) or I misunderstood? Also I do wait 5 sec before removing the pen (as they advised) but last two times there were a few drops out when I was getting the needle out, so I am not sure if I manageg to inject the full dosage. Did this happen to any of you?

I was told with the menopur to do stomach only but could do thigh (or stomach) for the fyremadel. We've been waiting the 5 seconds too & then releasing the skin & removing needle at the same time, there's been the odd time a little drop has come out but I don't think it's too much to worry about. Have you been feeling like it's working?

@Etonmess20 I am actually on Gonal F, not on Manopur so not sure if there are any differences. I did 2 times stomach and one in the thigh, but I will do only stomach if that was what they told you for the evening injections. Apart from some headache I dont feel anything yet... One strange thing was that period stoped as soons as I had the second injections, which was day 3 (usually is 5 days) but I assume its normal 🤔

@HereToLearnAndShare oh ok, I hadn't realised you were on different meds. I'm sure if they told you thigh was fine then it will be!
That's interesting about your period, I felt like mine possibly continued a day or so more than it normally would but who knows!

Just had my scan, had an a great response and my follicles were massive! Even though they only counted 24 in total at baseline scan today there were 31 ready to go. I am booked in for EC Friday as there are also a few still at the 12-14 mark that need an extra day. Super super pleased with that outcome, way more than I thought, so hopefully rest goes well!

@GJW2018 omg that is honestly the best news and so exciting! You must have been so pleased ❤ and then another scan next week! Awesome to do them 2 weeks in a row.

@Etonmess20 yep exactly the same but nurse said thats a good sign! Had Tamara this morning who was soo lovely - felt bad about all the times i annoyed her on email haha! Hope you're not too tender - maybe we will have EC same day! And yep it is 11 days. Getting real!

Oh nice, you definitely should book somewhere soon! This summer here has been awful...not the best for my first UK one. I've booked Spain for the bank holiday weekend now that I know it is freeze all so definitely looking forward to sun. Booked in the party for Oct 1st as they have said FET likely not til Oct with current list. So at least something to look forward to before then. But now I have had good news today I am super keen just to get it done!

Yeah we have been doing all stomach. And totally agree on the 6:30ams. Funny you say as this morning after my Fyramedel DP accidentally stabbed himself 😬 nothing left in the needle but I am guessing definitely too early for him 😂 and yeah was told today the orange needle is for the Bureselin...you only need one so not sure why they give you like 20. Interesting you also do the sperm deposit at home! They gave me the cup for it and no bag or anything so I am sitting here on the tube with a random cup which is slightly awkward 😂

@heretolearnandshare thank you!! interesting, my period carried on as normal but I assume it is different for everyone! I don't think we have been waiting 5 secs tbh but no liquid has come out. DP has been putting them in very slowly though. How are you feeling??

@Vparisi omg that's amazing!!! What time have they booked your EC in for on Friday? Hoping mine will be Friday too but doubt I'll have anywhere near as many follicles as you!

We've booked holiday from work from 8th September so going to hold off a little longer then book a holiday the weekend before just incase anything changes on green/amber list, neither of us care where we go as long as it's warm! Soooo jealous you've got Spain coming up so soon & really good news you've already got your party booked in, so exciting! Frustrating to have to wait until October for FET but it isn't actually really that long away at all now is it? Gives you a cycle off in between too & you have your party to look forward to
Oh your poor DP- didn't make him go all faint did it as he's not a fan of needles? My DP hasn't actually managed to do anything like that yet though he did accidentally squirt menopur on my face/hair one day - luckily you get plenty 😂😂😂

Tbh I dont feel anything different apart from a bit of a headache and feeling sleepy all day long. So I am hoping its working regardless.

Yeah good choice, everything changes so quickly with the travel and there's so many things to consider like Italy still has 5 day quarantine for the UK etc. But yes a lot to look forward to and hoping it goes quickly and in the meantime will get to keep updated on your progress!
Hahah it did not make him faint but tou know he complained about it stinging for the next hour as if I'm not here doing 2 injections a day 😂 you do get plenty, I wonder what we do with the leftover when we are finished? I might bring it to EC Friday to give back to them

Yeah definitely, on the TUI website there's a really handy thing that asks where you're going from & to, the date, vaccination status etc then tells you what you need to do in the destination country. Would rather not faff with tests if we can help it!

When I spoke to the nurse he said we have to throw it away & they can't accept it back. Awful but then I thought I wouldn't want 2nd hand meds that had been in some randoms house for weeks

@Vparisi I was thinking the same about the leftovers as I imagine they are expensive, but agree with @Etonmess20 I would like to use "second hand" meds.

Today I did my first Fyremadel injections and I found it more challenging compare to the Gonal... First of all these ones look like a proper injection (not a pen), it felt like a proper injection 😱 and I feel pain now in the area where injected. hope to get used some how.

@HereToLearnAndShare must cost them so much in wastage but they have to make sure we have enough stuff to cover most eventualities I guess! It is really sad to have to throw it away when it must cost so much though.

Oh the gonal F are the pen type ones? All the menopur are normal needles so the fyremadel wasn't too different (although the needles are bigger/thicker so does hurt more). Might just be me but I found doing them to the side hurts a lot less in general than doing them in the area below the belly button. Either way it's not the most pleasant of experiences but luckily it's over fairly quickly. Have you had anymore symptoms from the meds?

@Etonmess20 yes, Gonal F is a pen type and I find them super easy to admininistrate and there is no pain. I did the fyremadel in my thigh as I thought it will be less painful, but it was super unpleasant. Will try side abdomen tomorrow morning...

In terms of the symptoms - I have the EWCM now, which is good. Thank you both for mentioning it as otherwise I wouldnt register it as a sign.

So just come out from my appointment! During my scan the lady who was doing it found my right ovary & was doing all the measurements then couldn't find the left, scanned for ages & eventually asked to go & get a colleague & didn't think I was ready for Friday etc. The lady who came I. was only the lovely lady who phoned me to sort my appointment out after I'd kicked off 😍 she immediately found the left ovary & said I am DEFINITELY ready for Friday!
Think there was around 6 each side so decent numbers, lining looked really good & they're going to call this afternoon to let me know a time for trigger & for appointment for EC Friday!!! Eeeeek!!!

Do you need to keep doing the injections by Wed and then the trigger?
