@GJW2018 god I can only imagine, especially with very few symptoms! Hopefully it comes round quickly for you 🙏🏼

Vparisi · 10/08/2021 08:20

@Etonmess20 glad your injections went well! Mine were a bit stingy also. Think we are holding off on wedding planning for now as we have no idea when we can travel to Australia again and not ready to have the conversation yet of whose home country gets to host the wedding haha...will probably need to get through the stress of IVF first before we stress each other out more!
How are you feeling this morning? I am a bit nauseous so haven't eaten yet. I am surprised after only one day. Makes me think she might be right about my scan being this Sunday if I am getting symptoms this quickly. When will you receive your Ovitrelle?

@GJW2018 ahh can understand the stress! What are the plans for your birthday this week?

Etonmess20 · 10/08/2021 10:14

@Vparisi oh god yeah I forgot that there's still a decision to be made on which side of the world the wedding will be on!! I don't disagree that's a huge decision that will be better left for another time!
I feel about normal if I'm honest, maybe a bit tired & a little headachey but nothing horrendous. I think they must be really expecting a quick response from you with your timescales being so much shorter than mine! Seems like it's all going to come round super quick for you doesn't it? I think the earliest they said my egg collection would be is next Friday.
Hopefully I'll get an email about the ovitrelle in the next couple of days, god knows what would have happened about that if it hadn't been noticed until next week when they told me to trigger 🤦🏼‍♀️

Vparisi · 10/08/2021 18:34

@Etonmess20 yeah such a nightmare trying to plan anything! Did you guys rebook Vegas?? Oh good, yeah I guess they must be, i have felt a few twinges today so I think they are right that it is working quickly. Will be interested to see my blood test Friday. About to do my 2nd shot. Have decided not to bring them to the office as she said it doesn't matter what time you do them as long as it is after 6 so hopefully that is right!

thislittlebird · 10/08/2021 18:38

I'm back again....I got a letter earlier on to say my funding has been approved Confused

It's all a bit sudden and I was very excited to receive this news and then I had to bring myself back down to earth because I'm assuming it's yet more waiting, BUT maybe not that bad? Not sure how long the wait will be.

Etonmess20 · 10/08/2021 18:39

@Vparisi no we didn't because we knew we had this coming up so hopefully won't be able to make the most of the Vegas experience! Realllllly hoping to be able to get away for a holiday abroad in early September but we'll see (won't be until after OTD).
I have definitely felt different today but no twinges for me! What measure of the menopur are you on? I'm on 225
Just done my injection too, doing it at 6.30 every night for ease - when I start my other injections on Saturday we're going to do them at 6.30am so we can't forget the time 😂
Hope your second one goes well - have you been injecting yourself?

Etonmess20 · 10/08/2021 18:40

@thislittlebird that's amazing - I am sure someone slightly further down the thread said they were quoted 4-6 weeks after being added to the list

thislittlebird · 10/08/2021 18:44

@Etonmess20 that would be super quick...it feels like they've sped up again maybe? Dunno. Our appointment is August 31 so I guess they'll tell us more then. We've had a lot of private tests in the lead up to private treatment so I'm hoping that sped things up. I can also thank the two private consultants who wrote letters supporting us after that awful Queen Mary's experience and dismissal.

Etonmess20 · 10/08/2021 19:01

@thislittlebird I just checked & it was quoted at 4-6 weeks further down the thread - you're right that's ridiculously quick after most of us here waited 3 months (or longer!). In the unit yesterday the nurse was telling me he isn't even allowed to take leave at the minute, that's how busy they are 😬 but if they're giving those timescales you'd expect them to be accurate
Have all of your tests been clear or have they discovered anything? At least you have those as peace of mind if nothing else but it would be good if you were able to make use of your NHS funding
That Queen Mary's experience was a joke btw - why they ever bother referring people there initially I'll never know. The lady who did my appointment there was pleasant enough but it was a complete waste of time. Such a shame you had a bad experience because everyone I ever dealt with at Darent Valley was lovely & that's where you'd have gone afterwards I bet

thislittlebird · 10/08/2021 21:01

@Etonmess20 yeahhhh, that’s a lot quicker. True could have accounted for my extra delays I suppose but still...weird. Assuming there’s a double problem of a) lockdown delays and b) a baby boom where lots of people realised they couldn’t conceive and sought help in that same time.

Tests have been fine for me but I have mild? Borderline? PCOS. I don’t have the symptoms really but it would explain why I’m not ovulating regularly and have lots of follicles and have barely any progesterone to speak of. DH has low motility.

Let’s see what they say on August 31 I guess, if it is that fast I’ll be thrilled

Did you go to QM too? I may have forgotten. What did she say? She was very snippy and obstructive to us, IF it’s the same woman. But that’s clearly because she knew I’d complained already about the long delay with everything thanks the incorrect results prior to seeing her.

thislittlebird · 10/08/2021 22:15

I went back to the old thread, pre-pandemic. Similar timings, maybe this is the sort of timing they aim for normally.

becarefuloutthere · 10/08/2021 22:28

@thislittlebird they are quite quick once fundings approved. Mine was approved in March and we started in May. It may well have been April but I needed the lap first (which was in April). Hope that helps. Really pleased to hear things are moving for you now x

HereToLearnAndShare · 11/08/2021 08:26

Hey @thislittlebird thats great news. I think is much quicker now as we waited 4 months to get the funding approval.

@Etonmess20 @Vparisi I am glad tou are handaling the injections well!
No scan for me today... My period hasn't come yesterday as planned 😔 I was freaking out and tested almost every thing that I found on google for inducing period, but nothing has worked. And I believe stressing myself didn't help either.

@GJW2018 Happy Bday to you! 🥳 Wish you all the best to you and your growing family🤗

GJW2018 · 11/08/2021 08:33

Thank you @HereToLearnAndShare that’s so frustrating about your scan, hopefully she makes an appearance today and can get going!
Thank you @Etonmess20 and @Vparisi hope the injections are going ok and you are both feeling well! Had another mare yesterday woke up with the worst stomach cramps I’ve ever had in my life nearly passed out from the pain was horrific so headed back to the private clinic for a blood test which I think was ok but God the stress! Was having a few symptoms before that and now they’re all gone so have been stressing but going to try and forget about it all today and just enjoy my bday. We’re off Richmond for lunch and going to get a go boat for the afternoon and sail away from my stress! 🚤
Good luck with your scan today! @becarefuloutthere xxxxx

Etonmess20 · 11/08/2021 08:39

@HereToLearnAndShare oh no that's awful ☹️ what have the ACU said? Is there anything they can give you to bring it on or is it just a waiting game? Easier said than done but try not to stress, it'll come & everything's just a little delayed not cancelled

@GJW2018 happy birthday lovely! That sounds awful, glad the blood test was ok though - does that mean it was just one of those things?! This whole process is such a stress isn't it? Really hope you still manage to have a lovely day, beautiful weather for it!!

@becarefuloutthere all the best for today, let us know how you get on

Vparisi · 11/08/2021 08:51

@Etonmess20 I am on 225 also. I think I am just hypersensitive to them - I have been dong 6:30 also but I am going to start doing them later as they are making me really drowsy! Visible bloat today also. No headaches for me though. No, not doing them myself and don't really want to tbh haha. I am afraid I will do it the wrong way! Are you bruising? I always see these Insta pics of people's bruised abdomens but none of that for me.

@HereToLearnAndShare oh no!!! That really sucks. Hoping for you it comes tonight or tomorrow. Did they say they can fit you in easily tomorrow if it comes today?

@thislittlebird amazing! Seems like you will make quick progress (relative to before). And good you have a bit of clarity on underlying causes.

@GJW2018 oh gosh I am so sorry to hear that!! Hope you are feeling a bit better today, you must have been very worried. Glad bloods were all ok. Hope you have an amazing birthday, sounds absolutely lovely. Looks like weather is holding up at the moment also. xxx

becarefuloutthere · 11/08/2021 09:26

@HereToLearnAndShare oh no hun, stress is the worst and can delay a period too! What have the clinic said then?

@GJW2018 happy birthday 🥳 hope you have a wonderful day! 🎂 💝 sorry to hear about all the stresses, a boat trip sounds like a fab way to forget, enjoy ☺️
Thank you my love 😍 need to get out of bed and ready now 😬

@Etonmess20 thank you, I will do! Hope you're doing ok?

@Vparisi I didn't bruise either thankfully. I did my own tho, I felt like Dh hurt me but I also hurt me lol so clearly I was very sensitive to the needles. It's good you're not getting headaches yet, I did on the buserelin. Glad it's going well so far! X

HereToLearnAndShare · 11/08/2021 09:34

@Etonmess20 @Vparisi they just rescheduled the appointment for Fri morning. Which is good as I was super worried they will tell me to wait until Sept!

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 11/08/2021 09:36

@Vparisi that's interesting that they're making you so drowsy, does sound like later would be better for you in that case. I also have the visible bloat today & could feel stuff going on last night! I'll be ready to pop by next Wednesday! I feel the same about doing it myself, I could do it if I needed to but why stress yourself more than you need to. Although DP did do a small countdown last night for some reason & I was like no I don't want a countdown, just do it 😂
No bruises for me, I've got almost teeny tiny blood blisters but only very very small.
Are you due to start the fyrmadel soon? I'm due to add that in on Saturday.

@becarefuloutthere trying to power through as much as possible but definitely coming to the realisation that it's going to be a bit of a slog until EC! How have you been?

Etonmess20 · 11/08/2021 09:37

@HereToLearnAndShare so glad they've squeezed you back in, I was concerned about the same thing but this must happen all the time for them that some people need to move it forward or push it back! Do you feel like AF is on its way at all?

HereToLearnAndShare · 11/08/2021 09:38

@becarefuloutthere indeed, that is always the case for me - if I am stressed my period would delay. I am glad they managed to fit me in for Fri! Is you 12 week scan today?

OP posts:
HereToLearnAndShare · 11/08/2021 09:50

@Etonmess20 I feel its on its way since Sunday 😅 its seams I am stressing it back..

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 11/08/2021 10:00

@HereToLearnAndShare 😂😂😂 deffo the stress then....stoppppp stressing!! Maybe now you know they won't cancel it & will just push it back you can relax & AF will come! 🙏🏼

Bellwells · 11/08/2021 10:03

@thislittlebird when did your referral happen? I’m just wondering how long I will have to wait. I’m doing PGD so I probably have a different process to you.
