@Vparisi sorry for the uncovid friendly hug! 😂 I thought afterwards why did you do that 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ just too excited I think haha! Just so nice to finally meet you! Did your appointment go ok? My scan is booked in for next Wednesday at 10.15, when's yours in for? Have they said anymore about the freeze all?
My DP was glad to see your DP coped well with the blood test this time too! I came out & he was like "he was fine this time" 😂😂

@thislittlebird oh that's interesting, is it your consultation appointment do you think? Can't see what else it could be for

@thislittlebird Only went to Darent as they had a decent appointment date. I had to book one at beg of May and the other options were Queens in Romford which had 0 slots or Basildon but the earliest appt was end of August. Glad I didn’t wait as I was seen in June at DV.

We originally wanted to be referred to Bourn Hall but DV said they only refer to Guys. If we wanted Bourn we’d have to go back to our gp to get funding through Thurrock.
I have chased my GP enough
shrugs whatever gets the whole process started so sticking with Guys.

How long did it roughly take to get called and get your confirmed protocols etc ?

@Etonmess20 what’s that appointment? Just going through history? I have no idea. They said on Saturday that I’d get a call about funding on Monday. Nothing was mentioned about funding on the call today, they just said you’re coming in on Aug 31 and bring ID. I wonder if we’ll get a letter with more detail in the post? Maybe they’re getting us in just to tell us to sling our hook, the personal touch.

@Lioness1990 I’ve heard of Bourn Hall, is it near Cambridge? I think the lady on the fertility podcast went there.

@thislittlebird yeah they went through history, did a scan, did bloods & signed about 5000 consent forms! Pretty sure we'd done the funding prior to that & it had been approved by that stage but they may be doing things slightly differently now.
When we went in we had to take a few forms of ID & they checked them. I very much doubt they'd get you all the way there to tell you to bugger off so should be a good sign of progress!

@thislittlebird thats great news you have rhe appointment booked in! I assume this is for rhe initial scan, blood tests and signing forms or tou already had that?

@Etonmess20 did they tell you to start the injections? Is the next Wed scan check how you are reacting to the stimms?

@HereToLearnAndShare I start the injections tonight, so 225 of menopur every night now & then from Saturday add the 250 of Fyremadel from Saturday morning.
Next Wednesday is to check how I'm reacting to the stims & he said if I'm ready on Wednesday then EC could be as early as Friday. Failing that, they'd get me back for a scan Friday (after meds for a couple more days) with EC then perhaps being Monday 🙏🏼

@thislittlebird oh wow that is crazy, I was asking as they specifically mentioned my DP didn't have rubella antibodies on our letter and I was so confused about why they would mention it. Better to be safe than sorry for you! Great about your appointment.

@Etonmess20 omg do not be at all, it wlas sooo lovely to meet you in person!! I was vey excited, hope you coud understand the Aussie accent! Haha. Bad timing with me getting called that second, wish we could have had a chat! Hahah that is absolutely hilarious, yes he coped much better and managed not to embarrass me this time...

Yeah they did, so basically I had my scan, had 12 follicles on right and left but left was covered in a lot of fluid so they'll have to see how that goes. The nurse said you are freeze all right and I said they said on the phone depends how I am going and she said mm if you have been given Buserelin for trigger you are going to be freeze all. She was super nice and explained it to me and ultimately I want a successful pregnancy and they're the experts so have accepted freeze all. DP has convinced me this to look on the bright side as now we can have an engagement party and I can have a glass of wine.

They have booked me up like crazy. I start Menopur tonight and need to be in Friday morning for a blood test to see how I am going, and after that they will call me in the afternoon to book me in for a scan Sunday and Tuesday and she said EC could end up being Tuesday or Thursday depending on how quickly I am reacting. So hopefully do frozen in October.

Great you have your scan booked Wednesday, so should be EC Friday if all goes well. Crossing my fingers for you xxxx

@Vparisi awww I definitely could understand you! Sod's law they called you at the exact same time!!
That's so weird because I have the same trigger as you & obviously I'm not doing freeze all 🤷🏼‍♀️ do you think they're really worried about you being over stimulated because it doesn't sound like you're going to be in the meds for long at all?
Definitely agree with you about taking their advice though, if you didn't & you weren't successful you'd always be wondering what if wouldn't you? Your DP is also correct about an engagement party & glass of wine....every cloud & all that!
Got everything crossed for you too! Isn't it so scary thinking of doing this first injection tonight? 😂 have you also got about a million needles? All the menopur comes with them but then I have loads separately just in bags so god knows what they're all for 😂 what could possibly go wrong? 😂

@Vparisi I am glad all went well! Why do you calculating the FET to be in Oct? I am doing freeze all and I thought it was supposed to be with the next cycle in Sept... 🙄

@Etonmess20 that is really weird cos on the brochure they sent me (in photo) it seems to say Buserelin is intended for freeze all...not sure if anyone else here can shed some light on this? I'm sure they wouldn't give you the wrong one but we know their organisational skills leave much to be desired!! Yeah it's kinda weird, makes me a bit stressed for the week if they're that concerned so hopefully goes well and bloods on Friday look good! We were just wondering about the needles...cos it seems like the ones with the orange cap serve no purpose?? Glad you've noticed that too haha, no idea what they are for!

@HereToLearnAndShare thanks for asking! You're freeze all as well right? So I guess you should be prepared too to have to do more frequent visits

@thislittlebird yes it was set up in Cambridge. We were looking at the Wickford location which is 20 mins drive from us

@Vparisi ohhhhh I'm not happy to be having that trigger now given they've said it's associated with a reduction in pregnancy rates 😟 Do you think I should email or do you think I should talk to them about it at my scan?! I'm just concerned they may need to order me another trigger & don't want to leave it late but that leaflet is a concern. You don't want to second guess or question what they've given you but, as you say, they don't seem particularly well organised sometimes so who says it hasn't been prescribed wrong?
I'm sure it's all a precaution & that you'll be absolutely fine but I have absolutely everything crossed for you both 🤞🏻
Yeah the orange capped ones are a complete waste of time, they don't even have the right measurements on, you'd have to have like 4 injections to get enough 😂😂😂

So my treatment plan that the nurses sent across says I should also have something called Ovitrelle but I don't have anything called that in the meds that arrived 🤦🏼‍♀️ really concerned that if I leave it they may tell me to trigger that day but I won't have what I need

@Etonmess20 hmm it is pretty strange, might be worth an email just to make sure, particularly on the Ovitrelle because everything I am seeing on the internet suggests Burselin is an alternative to Ovitrelle, not two drugs you take together. Don't want to play Google doctor but I think definitely worth emailing or calling and saying I have this on my list and didn't receive it etc. Do you have it on your receipt for the drug delivery company?

@Vparisi no it isn't on my list from the drug company either 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've emailed to say I'm concerned I've not got the right one but if they say it is correct then they need to explain why they're giving me something that they say reduces pregnancy rates. Bit concerning all of this isn't it? 😬

@HereToLearnAndShare yep theoretically should be end of Septemberish but people on here have been saying the waiting list is 2-3 months so being cautious

@Etonmess20 super concerning! I was thinking maybe cos of your age they gave you two triggers in case you got OHSS also but it is weird it is on your treatment plan and not the drug company receipt....

@Vparisi so Guys have just called & basically I should have both, it seems it got missed off the prescription somehow. She said if on the day they want me to trigger they're happy to go ahead with a fresh cycle they'll tell me to trigger with the Ovitrelle, if I'm over stimulated they'll do a freeze all & tell me to have the Buserelin so you need both for each eventuality 🤦🏼‍♀️
She's ordering it for me now & the same company will be delivering it! So glad that's sorted as it sounds like it would have been a nightmare had it not been discovered until closer to the time!

@Vparisi my understanding was that there is no waiting list the first transfer, but I will deff ask again on Wed.

@Etonmess20 honestly that's pretty bad lucky for this forum or you wouldn't even know!! So glad it is sorted for you. We are doing it right now! It is exciting as it gives me something to look forward to while I wait for frozen. Have you done your injection yet?? Just did my first one! Was a little scared but really it is a very small needle and over quickly.

@HereToLearnAndShare yep definitely ask. The brochure they gave me says you get added to the waiting list (attached) so jot sure..

@Vparisi I still can't believe it tbh but at least it's hopefully being sorted now!
Injection time is 6.30 for us so we've done it, DP did it perfectly bless him & I hardly felt a thing! It is a bit stingy the stuff going in but that can't be helped! So glad it's done!!
Super exciting about your party, are you going to hold off on wedding plans or are you going full steak ahead on that too?

@Vparisi @HereToLearnAndShare when I had my freeze all they just said as soon as you get your period after EC you can do it that cycle. We had a cycle off inbetween to sort my immune system but there wasn’t any mention of a waiting list she just said whenever you’re ready! Also yes I had loads of those orange needles, only needed one for the busereline, don’t know why they send so many!

@Etonmess20 I’m ok. If you think the TWW is bad try waiting for a first scan … I’ve been driving myself mad! I think because I have zero symptoms I’m just psyching myself out. It seems like a long wait. Just want to know that there’s something there and it’s in a safe place etc. Such a worrier! But very grateful at the same time xx
