I also got a suppository after the 2nd puncture and was quite confused as the doctor only said "I RECOMMEND having this painkiller" but he didn't mention where it goes:)
My ovaries were enlarged and he said they were called "kissing ovaries" as there was no space between them anymore. They remained like this at the embryo transfer and some time after as I was having some overstimulation too. Mainly it was pain in my lower belly, but hot water bottle and paracetamol helped (the nurse told me to take some and to have lots of rest on the couch).
The puncture itself was not under a narcosis but some painkiller (shot in the bum), calming drug (a pill), and local anesthesia (3 shots inside). I admit it was quite painful.

And at the first clinic they did the puncture under a morphine-like drug called Rapifen (intra-venous), calming pill inside, and no suppository after that. It was less painful, maybe also because I only had 5 collected that time, but I was also fully awake and feeling pain. In general, here in NL they prefer as little medicine as possible.

Morning all.

@Georgie87B Cambs Bourn were so lovely - just having friendly people there with you makes it so much easier, takes your mind off it a bit too ... nothing like a bit of friendly chat while someone roots around your lady bits 😂
@strawberrysummer19 without being too graphic I spent a lot of last night back and fourth to the toilet. I kept getting a sicky feeling too although was never sick. Have had a good nights sleep and feel loads better, just fragile like a hangover. Maybe it's a combination of the EC and drugs? Hope you are feeling better today? XX

Tarsette · 29/05/2021 09:33

@strawberrysummer19 it sounds like you’re feeling much better so you should be able to have a transfer. But that decision should of course be made by your clinic. They will have all the cards in hand to decide what is best and safest for you!

I triggered last night and now just feel nauseous and tired. Chugging coconut water to avoid any OHSS symptoms on ovulation day tomorrow!

Louweeze · 29/05/2021 10:09

Just had a 3 day update on the embabies. Of 8 eggs, 7 were mature and injected. 4 fertilised (3 look perfect, one borderline). We're all systems go for tranfer either Tuesday or Wednesday!! My clinic does either 5 or 6 day tranfer has anyone else every heard of a day 6 tranfer??

2mumlife · 29/05/2021 10:10

@Tarsette Seems such a waste of all those eggs not to be collecting them!

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/05/2021 11:16

Back from my day 12 scan and we have growth! 🙌🏾 triggering tomorrow night and EC booked for Tuesday morning. I have a triple layered lining 🥳 transfer could be next Sunday all going well! No more injections from Monday, so pleased I'll be injection free for the BH!
Hope everyone has nice plans for the weekend?!

strawberrysummer19 · 29/05/2021 11:17

@notyetamumbuttrying that's amazing! Yay!!! So pleased for you xx

strawberrysummer19 · 29/05/2021 11:18

I have spoken to the clinic and I can transfer Monday as planned YAY!!!

I feel so much better apart from a little bloated abs but tender but clinic happy with that and said pessarys can cause the wind.

Unless anything drastically changes today or tomorrow xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/05/2021 11:22

@strawberrysummer19 thank you 😊 great news for you too! You must so pleased! Xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/05/2021 11:22

2mumlife · 29/05/2021 11:35

@notyetamumbuttrying @strawberrysummer19 Fab news!

Flissa7 · 29/05/2021 11:39

Ahhh, @notyetamumbuttrying @strawberrysummer19 that’s such great news for you both! Exciting! Xxx

strawberrysummer19 · 29/05/2021 11:57

Yes so happy although I had got my head around not transferring just incase as I had those horrible possible OHSS but the clinic said come Monday it's likely I may get some of the symptoms but that is completely normal so that worried me a tad because it really wasn't very nice.
X

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/05/2021 12:40

@2mumlife and @Flissa7 thank you both! How you two getting on?
@strawberrysummer19 ah I guess just trust in the clinic and we'll all be rooting for you! X

VenusStarr · 29/05/2021 12:54

Good news @strawberrysummer19

My hope bubble burst today 😢 I had brown discharge when I put my pessary in this morning and it's started to get heavier and I feel a bit sore and crampy. I've called the clinic, just waiting for a callback. Feeling really sad that it's probably over. My period would usually be around now. Feeling silly for believing that it could work out x

strawberrysummer19 · 29/05/2021 12:59

@VenusStarr I'm sorry this has happened
Without giving false hope just remember that even if there is any bleed, it still can be positive.
Sending you a big virtual hug and sending so many positive vibes your way xx

Louweeze · 29/05/2021 13:27

@VenusStarr I know its hard but try to stay positive its definitely not over yet!! Especially as its brown that's old blood it could be implantation bleeding? When is OTD?

VenusStarr · 29/05/2021 13:55

Thank you both @Louweeze @strawberrysummer19 the clinic are doing a beta blood test on Monday but my urine Otd was Wednesday. Just really emotional and sad 😔

Flissa7 · 29/05/2021 14:37

Afternoon lovelies,

Same for me I’m afraid, have started bleeding today & it’s red and quite heavy, so I guess I am out. Still in shock tbh - I can’t believe it’s over just like that.

Flissa7 · 29/05/2021 14:46

Sending love and hugs @VenusStarr xx

Tarsette · 29/05/2021 14:47

@VenusStarr and @Flissa7 I’m so sorry...I’ve been there a few times before and I know how badly the disappointment stings even when you try to brace for it. Take some time for yourselves, and allow yourselves to grieve for this cycle. You will then find the strength to get back on it again.

VenusStarr · 29/05/2021 14:52

Oh @Flissa7 😢😢😢 it's awful, I'm sending you a big hug xxx

Thank you @Tarsette x

Georgie87B · 29/05/2021 16:17

@Flissa7 and @Tarsette I am so sorry its not good news for you both 😔 sending you both big hugs! Xx

RazzleDazz1e · 29/05/2021 18:16

I just worked out where the new thread was!

@Flissa7 and @Tarsette so sorry to hear your sad news- sending hugs.

@notyetamumbuttrying - we are on the same schedule! Trigger Sunday and EV Tues morning :). Really looking forward to dropping the nasal sniffs haha- very unpleasant thing to be doing. I haven’t found the stims injections too bad, although don’t love the days where I have had to do 2 when the cartridge runs out!

Pleased to report that I also had my Pfizer jab last Monday and no adverse symptoms save for a sore arm.

IVF symptoms wise I’m feeling unexpectedly well. Slight twinge in left ovary but not too much discomfort.

I don’t know if it is this wonderful weather, but I am feeling extremely positive (for now!)

@strawberrysummer19 fantastic news about the transfer - lots of post transfer recovery in the sunshine for you hopefully!

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/05/2021 18:52

@VenusStarr oh I'm so sorry hun! The heartache of a failed round must be so hard! Please take care and book in for counselling if you can. I have a session booked in for after I test. Sorry for you to @Flissa7 it's such a tough journey!

@RazzleDazz1e ooh hello same schedule buddy! I never sniffed but injected, can't wait to stop too. Can't believe tomorrow nights the last one! I've been on long protocol so it's been 3 1/2 weeks of injecting come tomorrow. I'm feeling positive too, defo helped by the nice weather I suspect! My jab was two Sundays ago. Sore arm for days but otherwise ok too!
