Congratulations @Georgie87B! That's amazing news! Hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy.
@notyetamumbuttrying how are the follicles doing or do you not find out until tomorrow?
@VenusStarr Hope you're still feeling calm/content in your TWW.
@C1aire85 Hope egg collection went well.
@2mumlife How are you doing?
@Bells3032 Sorry your cycle got cancelled, I hope your clinic can figure out a plan that works for you.
@TheDutchess3 Sorry for your negative test result. I hope you're being well looked after and being really gentle with yourself. It's such a hard outcome to take.
@Flissa7 So sorry about your kitty.
@strawberrysummer19 That is a fab fertilisation result. Sorry you've been feeling really poorly. If it were me I'd be completely upfront about my symptoms with my clinic and take their advice on weather to transfer or freeze all. FET success rates are comparable to fresh success rates so either way you are in with a great chance.
@Louweeze Congrats on 8 eggs! I found out the same day if mine were mature or not and got fertilisation results the next day. Have you heard anything yet? I take a whole bunch of supplements and have done for ages, I'm probably a bit unbalanced/obsessed though.
@Alexm06 Congrats on 12 eggs! How are you feeling now?
@Tarsette Hope you get good news today.
@StrongEagle Glad you were able to get started nice and quickly with a FET.
I've tried to reply to everyone but really sorry if I've missed someone. I got our day 3 report today, all 9 are still growing, 1 looks bad but the other 8 look good so hopefully we will have some to freeze on days 5/6 as planned.
For the embryology geeks (like me) here is their gradings, the first number is the number of cells, the second number is degree of fragmentation (4 is best, 1 is worst) and the third number is symmetry (4 is best, 1 is worst, but an embryo with an odd number of cells might have less symmetry but still be totally healthy).
9 4 3
8 4 4
13 2 2
8 4 4
7 4 2
16 4 3
11 4 3
8 4 4
10 4 3
The embryologist says the 13 2 2 embryo probably won't make it but that others are in with a good chance so I'm feeling pretty good about our current position. At this point in my last cycle I had 4 embryos of which 1 was heavily fragmented so hopefully we will have a good outcome this time.
On an unrelated note I was looking up our old clinic on the HFEA website and it turns out they had a serious incident back in 2018 when they used the wrong donor sperm and the cycle resulted in a live birth. Then they didn't tell the couple involved about the error for more than 18 months despite knowing about it pretty quickly! Scary stuff - I bloody well hope they gave us the right sperm.
