@Bells3032 yeah maybe I should, I suppose it's not a great deal of difference but maybe it's not a bad idea.

I'm feeling much better than yesterday, no awful cramping just a little windy but not sure if that maybe due to the progesterone

X

Georgie87B · 28/05/2021 10:37

Hi all hope everyone's doing ok today.
It is my OTD today and just thought I would let you all know I got a BFP! Can't quite believe it at the moment! Just hope this little one decides to stick around for the long haul 🤞🤞 xx

Louweeze · 28/05/2021 10:43

@Georgie87B amazing news!!! Congrats on your BFP!!!!! Any symptoms yet?

@strawberrysummer19 @Bells3032 yeh tbh I don't think it makes much difference either way the body produces it naturally and every cell needs it to function so surely taking it can't do any harm?

StrongEagle · 28/05/2021 10:43

@Georgie87B Congratulations!!!!! I am so pleased for you xxxx sending you a big virtual hug x

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/05/2021 10:43

@Georgie87B congratulations 🥳 wonderful news!!

Alexm06 · 28/05/2021 11:08

@Georgie87B congrats!! Hope it sticks for you!

So just got the call from the clinic they actually got 15 eggs but 12 were mature (maybe they already knew that when they told me). So yeah out of them 9 have fertilised and another 2 they are just keeping an eye on. Have transfer booked in for Tuesday!

TheDutchess3 · 28/05/2021 11:40

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words! Still feeling shattered, and am not sure about the next steps. I am considering going abroad. But first the consultation with the doctor here.
Does anyone have experience with clinics in Czech Republic?

Congratulations @Bells3032!xx Must feel so amazing!

Bells3032 · 28/05/2021 11:42

@TheDutchess3 think that was aimed at Georgie not me!

Thankyou everyone for all your kind messages just talking to you all and reading about all your journeys have helped me throughout this process so far so much so it means alot!

As for symptoms I had the usual progesterone symptoms sore boobs, tiredness and bloating but yesterday afternoon I felt like my stomach muscles were really tight and ached, it kind of felt like I have been doing 100 sit ups (which I hadn't). Apart from that I put the rest up to progesterone.
Got to take another pregnancy test to confirm again next week and call my clinic in a weeks time to confirm still positive then they will book me in for a 7 week viability scan. My clinic doesn't do hcg blood tests unless you request it (at a cost).

@Alexm06 that's a great update bet your really pleased! Got everything crossed your little embryos grow into top quality blasts over the Bank Holiday weekend!! Good luck with transfer on Tuesday! Xx

Girlwholifts · 28/05/2021 12:49

I’m just getting caught up with the thread. Congrats @Georgie87B fab news 🎉

C1aire85 · 28/05/2021 13:04

@Georgie87B wonderful news. Keeping everything crossed it all keeps going to plan for you 🤞🏼 Currently sat in Bourn wearing a sexy nighty waiting for EC... hoping to catch some of your lucky vibes!! X

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/05/2021 13:10

@Alexm06 great news!! All the best for Tuesday and the ones they're keeping an eye on!
@C1aire85 good luck for EC!

Really hoping I get my EC date tomorrow but I need to be patient. I'd rather mature eggs and not rush it but I'm so eager now!

Louweeze · 28/05/2021 14:34

Ladies sorry this is tmi but is anyone finding the progesterone tablets aren't staying in? Every time I go to toilet there's some of it in my knickers! I'm worried they wont work properly

TinyPaws · 28/05/2021 14:39

Congratulations @Georgie87B! That's amazing news! Hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy.

@notyetamumbuttrying how are the follicles doing or do you not find out until tomorrow?

@VenusStarr Hope you're still feeling calm/content in your TWW.

@C1aire85 Hope egg collection went well.

@2mumlife How are you doing?

@Bells3032 Sorry your cycle got cancelled, I hope your clinic can figure out a plan that works for you.

@TheDutchess3 Sorry for your negative test result. I hope you're being well looked after and being really gentle with yourself. It's such a hard outcome to take.

@Flissa7 So sorry about your kitty.

@strawberrysummer19 That is a fab fertilisation result. Sorry you've been feeling really poorly. If it were me I'd be completely upfront about my symptoms with my clinic and take their advice on weather to transfer or freeze all. FET success rates are comparable to fresh success rates so either way you are in with a great chance.

@Louweeze Congrats on 8 eggs! I found out the same day if mine were mature or not and got fertilisation results the next day. Have you heard anything yet? I take a whole bunch of supplements and have done for ages, I'm probably a bit unbalanced/obsessed though.

@Alexm06 Congrats on 12 eggs! How are you feeling now?

@Tarsette Hope you get good news today.

@StrongEagle Glad you were able to get started nice and quickly with a FET.

I've tried to reply to everyone but really sorry if I've missed someone. I got our day 3 report today, all 9 are still growing, 1 looks bad but the other 8 look good so hopefully we will have some to freeze on days 5/6 as planned.

For the embryology geeks (like me) here is their gradings, the first number is the number of cells, the second number is degree of fragmentation (4 is best, 1 is worst) and the third number is symmetry (4 is best, 1 is worst, but an embryo with an odd number of cells might have less symmetry but still be totally healthy).
9 4 3
8 4 4
13 2 2
8 4 4
7 4 2
16 4 3
11 4 3
8 4 4
10 4 3
The embryologist says the 13 2 2 embryo probably won't make it but that others are in with a good chance so I'm feeling pretty good about our current position. At this point in my last cycle I had 4 embryos of which 1 was heavily fragmented so hopefully we will have a good outcome this time.

On an unrelated note I was looking up our old clinic on the HFEA website and it turns out they had a serious incident back in 2018 when they used the wrong donor sperm and the cycle resulted in a live birth. Then they didn't tell the couple involved about the error for more than 18 months despite knowing about it pretty quickly! Scary stuff - I bloody well hope they gave us the right sperm.

strawberrysummer19 · 28/05/2021 14:57

@TinyPaws yes I totally agree, I'll see what they say. I do feel so much better but still I'm tender but I wouldn't want to risk anything.

@Louweeze I've been using them since Wednesday night and I have found one did come out but most of it does stay inside. There's only a little bit there. I do put them quite high up though x

Alexm06 · 28/05/2021 15:03

@TinyPaws thanks still a bit uncomfortable just like constant period pains hopefully will be better tomorrow.

@Louweeze yes this is normal I had to wear panty liners last time but the majority of it melts inside then the wax ruins your knickers haha but yeah I would advice panty liners.

Louweeze · 28/05/2021 15:05

@TinyPaws thanks for explaining the grades because I honestly have no clue 🙃 that all looks SO positive for you!!! Fingers crossed you'll have some spare to freeze I'm certainly hoping that with mine (but don't want to get my hopes up encase it doesn't happen). So they rang yesterday and 8 were mature so they injected those (we're having icsi) but they aren't calling until tomorrow to let me know how many have fertilised! It's torture having to wait!!

@strawberrysummer19 thanks 😊 I think I'll have to adjust my technique!

Louweeze · 28/05/2021 15:06

@Alexm06 ooh good top tip I'm gunna get some!

strawberrysummer19 · 28/05/2021 15:07

@Louweeze it sounds normal from what others have said too, some of them are better than others, not sure it makes a difference as I'm sitting down lots trying to rest Smile

Louweeze · 28/05/2021 15:07

Also @Alexm06 amazing news having so many of your eggs fertilised, you must be thrilled!

VenusStarr · 28/05/2021 15:07

Omg @TinyPaws! That is a serious error. Brilliant news on your embabies 🥰 I find it all fascinating, ours were all exactly the same on day 3 but then one pulled ahead.

I'm doing well thank you. Feeling a bit excited. I've been having a feeling like my heart is racing a bit yesterday and today and a bit foggy headed. The last few evenings I've been crampy, but doesn't feel periody anymore (that was the first couple of days after transfer). Still don't want to test, which is most unlike me, but this bubble is nice.

@Louweeze are you on utrogestan? I do find I am getting some come out but not terribly, I try and get the applicator as far as I can. Sometimes it seems to bring some of it back out, like it's popped. If you're worried could you ask them to check your progesterone levels? They did mine on Monday, 2 days after transfer and it came back as 56.4 so I must be absorbing it. I think I actually prefer them to cyclogest which you to make me really bloated and gassy.

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

strawberrysummer19 · 28/05/2021 15:27

Hi ladies

I'm still symptom spotting for OHSS!!

I feel better - have had no cramps, no diarrhoea or any sickness at all, I've drank 3 litres already and it's only half 3! Even managed a walk ( sit on bench ) at the beach as we live on the beach so Boyf said it would be good to get out

I'm resting and drinking lots but the only thing is I have really bad wind ! Did anyone else get this from EC? ( or from OHSS)

I had a suppository ( again did anyone else have this? I felt like this was a bit of a shock when they said they were going to do one - well they asked me as it was on my consent form just before EC) and ever since I went to the toilet just after EC that's when my bad belly started

X
