@2mumlife,
You ve mentioned having a varied cycle length...How varied is it?
Mine is considered to be regular, but i always a different amount of days. It used to be around 35 days, now is mostly around 30 but still varies from 27 to 35.
I will be doing a FET in a natural cycle and am worried about detecting ovulation. I ve missed it once for the IUI.
Tomorrow I have a phone call with the treating doctor and can ask her but they tend to stick to their protocols.

P.S. Happy belated birthday, a fellow gemini:)

Bells3032 · 14/06/2021 14:50

So clinic called and my HCG is 29,000!!! so they have a suspicion i ovulated very late last month and what i thought was a really light period was an implantation bleed and I am actually 6-7 weeks pregnant.

Thankfully they said the drugs i was on for the ivf scan shouldn't cause any harm to the feutus.

they've booked me in for a scan next week to check the size etc to confirm how far along i am

@TheDutchess3 The most extreme numbers I've had since tracking over the last couple of years is 25 - 39 days. I normally don't swing loads in length, but for example, if I take the 6 months prior to starting IUI, my cycles were 28, 39, 35, 30, 33 and 31 days long.

@Bells3032 How crazy!

2mumlife · 14/06/2021 15:06

@TheDutchess3 I do think a natural FET cycle would be nice, as its a break for your body, but I know it can lead to more cancelations if the ideal transfer date is a day your clinic isn't open for instance (my clinic don't do Sundays). Also, after my unsuccessful fresh transfer, my cycle has been delayed (41 days the cycle after failed IVF, 36 days the month after that), so I'd consider that too as the effects of the IVF drugs take awhile to wear off

TheDutchess3 · 14/06/2021 15:53

Thank you @2mumlife!
I will point it out to my treating doctor tomorrow.
My range over the last 3 years is 27 to 45 days...

@Bells3032, indeed crazy but congratulations!!

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/06/2021 17:25

@Bells3032 wow! This is so amazing! You must be thrilled 😁

So I'm 8dp5dt today and feel like my period is coming 😩 anyone else felt like that at this point but AF stayed away? Not supposed to test until 11dp5t but not sure I can wait the two more days now that it feels like I'm coming on 🙁

2mumlife · 14/06/2021 17:58

So, TMI, but this afternoon I experienced what I can only describe as a sort of 'gush' of watery fluid "down there". It would have been completely clear other from the utrogestan pessary debris that accomopanied it. Anyone else experienced that before??? I'm 3dp5dt

StrongEagle · 14/06/2021 18:10

@2mumlife I have had this a couple of times and I think it is the Utrogestan. I always feel like it's loads and going to flood my pant liner but it's not actually all that much (sorry if tmi) xx

Bells3032 · 14/06/2021 19:27

Sorry weird question but clinic has suggested using cyclogest just as a little extra support. If using vaginally how far up should it go? As far as I can reach or an inch or so inside?

Thanks

@notyetamumbuttrying I had this feeling that I was starting af and my otd seemed too far away. I didn't test but I had planned to a day earlier but then af turned up beforehand.

@2mumlife I had a few episodes of the gush.
Lots of watery cm but as someone said this could be the progesterone x

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/06/2021 20:14

@Bells3032 no one told me this either so I just went part way up. I guess maybe half the stick in and then pushed.
@strawberrysummer19 thank you, this is what I'm worrying about. I was going to test tomorrow (2 days earlier than otd) but maybe I won't and will just see if AF shows. Hopefully won't feel like a double blow then! Have already had a bit of a cry about it 😢

strawberrysummer19 · 14/06/2021 20:27

@notyetamumbuttrying that may not be the case for you though.
I was adamant I didn't want to test early, for me it was easier having a period then seeing nothing on an empty stick. It was like when my period came I kind of knew it was coming so it was sort of closure in a way.
I could feel my body almost wanting to
I had period aches and back ache for 2 days before I came on.
But if you did test now then it would most likely detect ? So I can see why people do test early, I just knew I was out so was too scared !
Do what you feels right
X

2mumlife · 14/06/2021 20:45

@StrongEagle @strawberrysummer19 Thanks ladies, never had it on cyclogest so was caught a bit unaware!

@Bells3032 You want it to be in the upper third of your vagina to get the best benefit of the uterine first pass effect.

notyetamumbuttrying · 14/06/2021 21:10

@strawberrysummer19 I feel like my periods coming too. Period pain, aches etc. I'm now thinking I'll wait as I'm not off work so I don't need to be even more distracted than I already am 😂

We're off Friday so at least it'll be one day of work before getting our time to grieve. Although we're going to the new house on Friday to go through drawings (it's a new build).
@2mumlife so does that mean to get it up as far as you can before pushing the plunger?

strawberrysummer19 · 14/06/2021 22:20

@notyetamumbuttrying remember that these pains can also be early pregnancy signs too
I have my fingers crossed for you
I think Friday is a good plan
Wow that's so exciting ! X

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/06/2021 06:49

I caved and took the test because I truly thought I was coming on but I don't think I am!! 9dp5dt today and I got these!!

Tarsette · 15/06/2021 07:14

@Bells3032 that’s insane!! So all that time they were tracking your follicles, you were actually already pregnant?! Couldn’t they see it on the ultrasound when they checked your lining? So happy for you!

Bells3032 · 15/06/2021 07:19

@Tarsette it seems that way. I was probably about three weeks at the time so there was nothing really to see tbh at that point. I would have been less than 4 weeks when they cancelled the cycle as wasn't responding at all.

We don't 100% know it could be 4 weeks but the hcg levels would be exceptionally high but we have no idea how far along I am til I have the scan next week

notyetamumbuttrying · 15/06/2021 07:32
