Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@StrongEagle Hi! Nice to see you join this forum after seeing your EC journey on the may/June forum! It does seem quite quick to go into FET straight away - my clinic told me I needed at least 1 "natural" cycle before FET, but that was after a fresh transfer not a freeze all which might make a difference. Good luck!

StrongEagle · 21/05/2021 18:16

Thank you so much @Tarsette and @starkid super helpful to know x it's so hard not to get hung up on grading but you're right it might mean less chance but not completely struck out xxx

Just caught up on the full thread and now off out to get pomegranate juice 😂🙂🙂

StrongEagle · 21/05/2021 18:19

Hello @2mumlife lovely to see you again too! Yes it does seem very quick, I wish I questioned my consultant more but I didn't really realise it was abnormal until I researched a bit more. I will make sure I write a list of questions when I see him in 10days, which feels like a lifetime x

Bluemeadowbaby · 21/05/2021 20:42

@StrongEagle welcome to the group! Wishing you lots of luck in your journey. A little different but I did 2 fresh cycles back to back and a little encouragement- I have my baby sound asleep in his cot 💕 I pushed for a quick turn around and consultant happy so I hope that brings some comfort x

Ladies, a little update from me. AF arrived today just in time for my consultation and I'm starting norethisterone on cd21! I'm still in shock they say everything is okay to go ahead 🥴 x

@Bluemeadowbaby excellent so happy things were able to move forward!

firefly37 · 21/05/2021 22:52

Evening all,
Had an awful couple of days ... my 19 month old DD was in hospital with suspected meningitis. Very scary times but hopefully she has turned a corner today as temperature is finally coming down.
Good Luck to all ladies with little embies on board @starkid @coffeewithmilk @Babyvibes ... everything crossed :)
@StrongEagle ... as others have said, dont stress over grades ... these little miracles come from all sorts of embies :) ... my friends did a freeze all after OHSS and when the embies were thawed, they were told they were all poor quality and not to get their hopes up ... they transferred the two "best ones" and they now have gorgeous twins as both took!
@Bluemeadowbaby ... so glad that you are all on track after your scare ... great news!
I am still on course for my FET mid to late June although my blood results have just come in and they are not great ... I don't think they will affect my FET but clearly show that my fertility is rapidly diminishing which would make sense with the hot flushes I have been getting recently :( ... my first IVF doctor in 2016 told me that I would menopause early so I am thinking the start of that long old process is upon me.
xx

2mumlife · 22/05/2021 08:15

@StrongEagle List of questions is always a good idea, that's what I do too :)

@Bluemeadowbaby Exciting everything looks good.

STILL waiting for AF here.... Sad

Verbena87 · 22/05/2021 08:55

Oh gosh @firefly37 that sounds terrifying, you must be exhausted. Hope she continues to pick up.

@Bluemeadowbaby that’s great news! Good luck.

Pingupp · 22/05/2021 10:27

Morning all. Had my lining scan and it's 6.5mm so going in the right direction too. Meds doubled up today and scan on fri to check lining is nice and thick ahead of the injections, progesterone and steroids I need to take. It's getting real now and starting to freak....I think this is normal right?!
Hope you are all doing ok on here.
Xx

Verbena87 · 22/05/2021 14:02

@Pingupp utterly normal, just let it wash over you. Great news about lining, sounds like you’re on the way!

hopefulhel · 22/05/2021 14:39

Tested yesterday and today 7dp5dt and 8dp5dt and a bfn. We transferred a 5AA embryo (starting to hatch) so looks like we'll be doing another cycle

coffeewithmilk · 22/05/2021 15:49

@hopefulhel I'm sorry to hear you got a bfn. When is your OTD? Have you had any symptoms? I wouldn't class you out just yet, it might have just implanted a little later than you thought. x

hopefulhel · 22/05/2021 16:11

@coffeewithmilk otd is next thurs. No haven't had any symptoms at all. I'm not too hopeful to be honest.

starkid · 22/05/2021 16:29

It's early still, I'd avoid any more tests until the blood test as it'll just cause anxiety xx

2mumlife · 22/05/2021 19:00

My AF is a right arse - just started some light bleeding so my CD1 will be tomorrow. When the clinic is closed Angry. Stupid AF. So it'll be early morning call for me on Monday to get the go ahead to start drugs for FET.

@hopefulhel Fx it still works out for you this cycle.

firefly37 · 22/05/2021 19:15

Thank you @Verbena87... She's doin well today... But I am certainly still exhausted 😕
@hopefulhel... Sorry for ur news... Fingers crossed for a late I'm planter.
I'm looking for advice... I don't usually think about endometrium thickness but I had my baseline scan today at day 10 of cycle, before starting meds next month, and my lining was 13.2mm 😳 that's too thick isn't it?!? 😢 Xx

Verbena87 · 22/05/2021 19:19

@hopefulhel keeping fingers crossed for you.

@2mumlife sounds like typical AF Sod’s law. Never ever convenient whether it’s spoiling nice knickers or screwing up your start dates.

Also had first dose of buserelin last night and holy actual fuck, the tiredness! I can’t stand up without feeling dizzy and had to go to bed in the afternoon for a nap. Please tell me this is lingering vaccine side-effects from Wednesday and not just suprecur misery?! Don’t remember this from last time but I am older and a mum this time so have less energy in reserve.

2mumlife · 22/05/2021 19:23

@firefly37 Sorry I really don't know much about thickness lining - to be honest I've never really asked about mine (I've always been foccused on follicules at the scans) and no one has every said anything about my lining thicknesses

@Verbena87 Darn right! Never taken buserlin sorry, hope it gets better for you!

Verbena87 · 24/05/2021 06:53

Has anyone else injected buserelin and felt awful on it? Come and talk to me about your side effects.

I seem to have exhaustion, dizziness, brain-fog, insomnia, hot flushes and a weird sore throat/stuffy nose thing going on. Am I actually ill or could all this be the buserelin injections? Got to head to work in 20 minutes and am dreading it.

2mumlife · 24/05/2021 07:45

@Verbena87 I've not taken it myself, but I've heard others say they've had pretty bad side effects on buserelin. Hope you're ok!

Hoping4baby21 · 24/05/2021 15:31

Hope everyone is doing ok!

Had my day 8 scan today and remembered to ask follicle size so I have:

2 x less than 6
2 x 6
2 x 7
1 x 8
4 x 9
1 x 11
1 x 15
4 x16
2 x 17

Think I will trigger Wednesday so not long left to go now. Waiting on a call from the clinic to confirm my dose over next few days and when they think trigger will be. Hoping some of those slower growing follicles catch up in the next few days.

Verbena87 · 24/05/2021 20:41

@Hoping4baby21 that sounds great, good luck!

@2mumlife have you been in touch with your clinic? Is today start-the-drugs day?

2mumlife · 25/05/2021 07:48

@Verbena87 Clinic were REALLY slow yesterday (I swear, their communication is getting really bad recently, I wish they'd take less patients!). Phoned at 8:30am and again at 3pm when no one had called back. Finally got a call back just before 5pm so too late to start anything that day, so I started this morning (CD3) which was the latest they could get me started and us still be able to go this cycle.

First Fyremedal injection this morning - we went for thigh in the end (becasue for the first time ever my clinic hasn't bothered to give any instructions on injections....). I don't bother with ice packs etc and didn't feel a thing with needle actually in, but it is a bit itchy and irritated afterwards, a bit like having a midge bite. I've also started with elleste solo (what they replaced progynova with). Its really used for menopause but has lots of warnings saying it causes thicking of the lining so here's hoping huh!? I've cracked out the pomegranate juice on the off-chance that helps.

I've never asked about my lining before as I've always just been focussed on follicule size and honestly never really thought about lining thickness, so I've no idea actually if my lining is normally good or not (its never been commented on either way) but I know I have comparatively light periods, so my latest worry is maybe we keep having BFNs because my lining sucks. I wont get a progress check until next week (and yet again clinic not being great, as on phone nurse made an appointment for Thursday with me, but they've also put an appointment in for Monday on my treatment calandar so I've had to fire of a message to ask if thats real or not. Hopefully it is real, and they just SUCK at communication but will see)

Verbena87 · 25/05/2021 09:44

@2mumlife glad you’re underway despite the clinic - bad communication seems a bit of a theme and whilst I’d rather they prioritise good science than people skills, it wouldn’t hurt to have both!! Hope you’re not feeling too fed up.

I’ve never had terribly heavy periods and had no issues with my lining last time, so I don’t think that’s necessarily an issue.
