FET cycle buddies May/June

Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

Ah I have heard of that clinic mine was pro crea Swiss or next clinic is this your first frozen cycle ?

@Mack262308... I had a successful fresh in 2019 there and two frozen. Last week they wanted to put back our best quality frozen but it didn't survive thaw. They transferred the second choice little one... It actually thawed well, grew and started to hatch! I've been frantic this last week as I'm stuck at home in quarantine with not a lot else to think about! I did a negative FRER this morning so thought it was completely over... But clearly I talk shit as I've just done one of my trusty Internet cheap strips and got the faintest of all faint lines... I'm also in a lot of pain today... Cramping and back ache... Headache. So I'm not really sure what's going on... But clearly I don't know as much as I believe I do and anything could be possible! What cycle is this for u? What did u have transferred? Everything crossed for u xx

Ah that’s good did u have a boy or a girl? Well this is my 8th round we done 5 rounds in the uk 3 free I have 2 boys from my Prague clinic in 2018 fresh cycle that was round 6 and then frozen with my second boy 2019 we had 2 left over she put 2 back 1 stuck so when we went back this year feb 2021 it was full new cycle but I couldn’t do a fresh transfer as I had polyps so I had to freeze 4 embryos went back in May had 1 transferred back didn’t work so just continued with the meds went back over they again would only transfer 1 as I had a c section so I know I am very lucky but still doesn’t make this any easier ah yes it is still very early my clinic tell me not to test until 14/15 days after so keep positive and a line is a line so I would defo say it’s looking good for you I am also having really bad cramps today so I was thinking I was out but haven’t done any tests yet

Ah I am so sorry I know it’s so hard but for what you have been through already sounds you are an amazing strong women - I’ve had a full blood count before after mine to rule out loads diff things I think it took about 11 weeks for them to get all the results back if that helps x

@Mack262308... U have been busy! So ur UK cycles were all negative? Czech Republic is great I think... Better technology. My 2019 Czech baby is my little girl and I have a 2017 NHS freebie little boy. Looking for number 3 to complete our family, I guess like u! Do u know what grade u had? What Prague clinic did u use? I started looking at clinics in Prague just this morning as we considered another cycle... And Prague is just easier to get to than Brno where Reprofit is x

Ah that’s lovely yeah none worked in the UK so I researched few countries and I had been to Prague it’s beautiful so thought if I had spend 7-10 days doing fresh cycle what better place!! Yeah like u looking to complete our family we get told we are mad but unlike most people we know it never happen naturally it doesn’t get any easier the more rounds u so I guess u just get use to heartache bounce bk move on it’s called pro crea Swiss but I believe they may be changing there name to next clinic my original doctor isn’t there she moved before I found out and had started my meds she at the Gennet clinic I’ve not looked at it but we have 2 Frosties left so if it doesn’t work may think about that one just because she gave me my 2 boys I am too scared to test but want to know as I hate the 2Ww find this part the hardest my friend recently done a round of IVf and it worked first time and she said no way she could of done as many as I have I said I would do a million rounds as that’s all I’ve ever wanted a baby like everyone on these forum keep me posted when is your OTD ? X

@firefly37 that’s great to see! I was quite surprised at your previous test given all your symptoms. I’m still pretty symptom free to be honest. My boobs feel slightly fuller and uncomfortable, but I think I had that last time from the progesterone x

@Mancbear88... Fingers crossed it will happen for u this time! Would u choose a little girl if u could?! Or happy with a house of boys? Lol... One of my sisters had two girls and the other two boys... I was the odd one... But I am the middle child as well! Poor middle child! .. Czech is lovely... I looked at other countries but Czech seemed to suit us. Its affordable and easy to get to... Although the first time we went it was minus 10 degrees!
My official test date given is 12th July! How about u? Must be the same?
@HopingForRainbow2021... Don't worry bout symptoms... I don't think I had many at all with others.. But today I've been in so much pain. I was convinced I was going to start a hideous AF but things have settled down... But I've had very painful in stabbing in left boob and groin. When did ur clinic say is yr OTD? Ur doing really well not testing! Xx

@firefly37 OTD is Friday, but we have agreed to test Wednesday. Will be 9dp5dt then, so feel able to trust result one way or another. So scared of another bfn :( x

@HopingForRainbow2021... Ur early bleed could have been a positive sign... I really hope so. What test will u use? Everyone raves about FRER but I'm not sure what to think... Huge neg this morning on one... But then a tiny bit of hope on my One Step eBay strips ... But I guess all will be clear in just a couple of days for us! xx

Yeah 12th July seems so far away!! What tests are those was it the £1 cheapies ? My clinic give me these to take home completely different to last year had proper ones but this time give me the £1 ones haha xx Same horrible cramp was oh no not again but it’s eased now I don’t remember any symptoms with my boys xxx my sister and brother both have girls one each so I am also the odd one out but I’m the youngest haha to be fair I don’t care about gender I do believe that I can’t carry girls nothing official but just what I think in my head I have said that we may get genetics tested on the last 2 not for sex selection as it’s illegal in Czech but mainly to put my mind at rest just very expensive and I’ve had previous m/c just wondering if it’s girls think just always looking for a reason - I think we are all so strong willed women and praying we all get the BFP we all deserve xx

@Mack262308... The tests I have always used are One Step 10mlu on ebay... I get about 20 for 2.99! My clinic didn't give me a test... If my little line reappears again on the strips I would likely get a digital for OTD. My MIL is convinced she couldn't have girls.. She had a boy no problems then 3 m/Cs before she had my partner but back then (1980) nothing was explored officially.

I'm 8dp6dt today and thoroughly confused... I had a BFN yesterday morning but then unexpectedly two clear but faint positives yesterday afternoon but did have a lot of hideous pain too... I then had a complete negative this morning 😕... (I did hold yesterday afternoon for 4 hrs and this morning was about 2.5 hrs) x pics attached show yesterday positive (in invert as well) and then today neg xx

@Verbena87 I am so so sorry. My heart goes out to you - the pain of a negative test is just unbearable xx

@firefly37 that’s strange - it could be down to the time of the hold, especially as still early. I also read in a few places that some people get more reliable results later in the day rather than early xx

OTD today yeah, so unfortunately I think it’s probably pretty conclusive. No hint of a line on the frer or the hospital test and it’s day 11 post 5 day transfer.

It sounds silly but because it worked first time this is my first negative and I’m finding it so hard to wrap my head round it.

Not sure on next steps, I’ll see what the clinic say. We have 2 more day 5 blasts frozen so will definitely try again but want to just regroup a bit before deciding anything definite about dates.

I know they say frozen and fresh have similar results but in our experience it hasn't worked out that way. Our two fresh have been successful and two frozen cycles not. We also lost blasts on thaws when apparently they have a 98% survival rate 🙄... We are now wishing we just did a fresh cycle instead of spending out on a frozen xx good luck those still in the running! @HopingForRainbow2021 @Mack262308

@Verbena87 this really is just so shit 😞 I'm so sorry, I wish I could change the outcome for you. Sending big hugs and I too now would be there with that well worn blanket and a few glasses of gin to help ease the pain x

@firefly37 our son was FET too due to PGD (did biopsy, freeze all, develop genetic probe, test) so I know it can work for us, just not this time.
