Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@Belle268 my clinic advised testing on day 11 post 5 day transfer, and it’s just a urine test not a beta so I reckon you could test earlier if you like.

@Mancbear88 will keep everything crossed for you. And sorry for your previous losses.

@Pingupp thinking of you. Hope you’re getting through ok.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 30/06/2021 09:58

Apologies for the TMI but needed to share as feeling so sad and anxious. When I went to the loo this morning there was a lot of bright red blood on the tissue when I wiped. Not just a spot or two, a lot. I’ve called clinic for advice but still waiting on a call back. Can’t bear for this to be over so soon - only 2dp5dt

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 10:54

@HopingForRainbow2021 - so so sorry you are having this difficult morning. Early bleeding can be due to progesterone levels i believe - How much have you been taking? perhaps they can increase it? Have you managed to speak to anyone? I really hope this gets sorted xx

@MaggieMoo86 - hope you are feeling better

@2mumlife @Pingupp - hope you are both holding up strong

@lucymills1234 @Belle268 - welcome and good luck

@Mancbear88 - fingers crossed for your line!

I got home from Czech in the early hours as my flight was delayed - I have been panicking as due to this my progesterone dose was a bit late but I have googled a lot and cannot see anything to suggest that taking it late would cause a huge issue .... I have a hideous headache that I cannot get rid of and am working from home in my fluffy socks and dressing gown whilst eating rubbish and watching Love Island. I feel a bit low but trying to stay mindful and not follow any shitty thoughts. xx

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 10:54

@HopingForRainbow2021 please update us ASAP . Thinking positive for you xxx

HopingForRainbow2021 · 30/06/2021 10:56

@firefly37 they still haven’t bothered to call me back. I’m going to call them again now x

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:01

@HopingForRainbow2021 - could this be implantation? Has it stopped now? Demand your doctor speaks to you, do not take no for an answer xx

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:04

@HopingForRainbow2021 - right from my research it can be due to a tough transfer and bleeding could be from the cervix which is no concern or apparently in the 2WW bleeding can be "self limited and stop as suddenly as it started" and doesnt mean its the end --- or implantation bleed xx

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:05

@HopingForRainbow2021 oh and could be a sign of low progesterone which can be fixed by upping dose! xx

HopingForRainbow2021 · 30/06/2021 11:06

@firefly37 you’re so kind, thank you. I had a good look online but can’t find much. Most implantation bleeding seems to be pink or brown and this was bright red. There’s been no more so far - I’ve been glued to sofa since. I just got fobbed off again by a pretty rude receptionist x

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:12

@HopingForRainbow2021 - what meds and dose are you taking lovely?
Honestly, I think bleeding panics us straight away but lots of people have a little bit in pregnancy and it most of the time doesn't seem to indicate the end. Its good that its stopped xx

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:13

@HopingForRainbow2021 oh and make a complaint about bitch receptionist who probably has 5 kids without ever having to think about it x

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 11:14

With both of my previous pregnancies, I felt the stabbing of implantation on day 3 ... I am terrified that if I dont feel that then its over for me x

MaggieMoo86 · 30/06/2021 11:32

Morning ladies.
Hopingforarainbow- this sounds like you’re having a really horrible morning. I hope your clinic get back to you very soon.

I’m trying hard not to fixate on any ‘symptoms’ I might be having. I have had on and off cramping that feel like pre-period cramps since the transfer. Today I feel absolutely boiling! Measured my temp and it’s 37.3.

I hope that these are good signs but feel in my heart that it hasn’t worked and these are all progesterone pessary related.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 30/06/2021 11:50

@firefly37 one of the nurses just called me back. She said that bleeding is common (although my internet trawl hasn't really shown that). She said not to panic, and that she believes that the bleeding could be from the vagina rather than uterus - she said that the whole area is filled with blood vessels and blood flow due to the progesterone, and that I using the pessary applicators may have caused the bleed. To me, it felt like there was too much blood for that - but I guess I just have to carry on and hope. I mentioned whether it could be due to low progesterone and she was pretty adamant it wouldn't be - though they don't monitor progesterone levels at my clinic. I'm on 200mg progesterone pessaries, 3 x a day, and 1x2mg progynova 4x a day. Thank you for being there during my panic :) xx I hope you are feeling okay today - I do think that each cycle and even each pregnancy is different, so try not to worry too much - easier said than done I know xx

@MaggieMoo86 we are all in this together - we can try and keep one another positive xx

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 12:01

@HopingForRainbow2021 easier said then done we know, but try not to panic. The good news is that it has stopped, it very easily could be from the vagina. I get bright red blood all the time as for the last year I have been hideously "dry" down there and sometimes scratch (TMI sorry!) ... do stay in touch on this forum with us as it does help to talk and bounce off each other.xx

HopingForRainbow2021 · 30/06/2021 12:04

@firefly37 it really does - you have really talked me down this morning, thank you so much xx (I kind of think no such thing as TMI in the world of IVF!)

2mumlife · 30/06/2021 12:42

@lucymills1234 I had cramps throughout my FET, which ended in a chemical pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you.

@Belle268 I had a BFP (not a squinter) on FRER as 6dpt5dt but it ended in chemical. Good luck!

@Mancbear88 Sounds promising? Fingers crossed!

@HopingForRainbow2021 I started bleeding 4dp5dt on my fresh transfer - it started more as spotting which I hoped was implantation but just turned in AF. My impantation bleed on this FET cycle was very different. My clinic were also adament it wasn't low progresterone but they didn't test levels. Hoping the bleeding has stopped for you.

firefly37 · 30/06/2021 14:05

@HopingForRainbow2021... Glad I could help. I sometimes feel a bit of a fraud being here as I have had two of the most beautiful children from successful ivf...im just not ready for it to be over. I came to the "baby party" late at 36 as I never thought I wanted kids before then... But I've become a really good mum and at 41 now I know I have to be realistic... But I wish I had more time to try more cycles Sad... There should be more education to young women about freezing their eggs as I so wish I had some 25 yr old me eggs stored!
I hope ur feeling better xxxx

Belle268 · 30/06/2021 15:02

@HopingForRainbow2021 maybe it’s from your cervix rather than your vagina? That’s more likely to have been affected during the transfer isn’t it? Glad it’s settling! It’s horrible seeing blood - it’s natural to think the worst so don’t be hard on yourself! Hopefully little embryo is burrowing away nicely inside now! 🤞🏼

Belle268 · 30/06/2021 15:04

@2mumlife - sorry about your loss - that’s really rubbish after what sounds like a good BFP. Did you have any symptoms? I was under the impression symptoms are good but I don’t really have any which is why I’m driving myself insane!

Pingupp · 30/06/2021 16:15

@HopingForRainbow2021 I hope it has calmed down a bit now and glad clinic has called you back.
@firefly37 be kind to yourself - and love island is a very good thing to watch to take your mind off stuff. Must be good to be home and in your own bed.

Mine has all kicked off today and omg it's so painful. Taken the day off ill. It's crap but at least it's started now xx

2mumlife · 30/06/2021 16:55

@Belle268 I had an implantation bleed at 6dpt. Only other things were cramping, but I think that was entirely progesterone related as it was very mild and came on and off whole time. I was tired, but that might just be this whole process! I had a couple instances of sort of a bit of a gush of fluid, but this might be because of progesterone again / I've since heard this can be a sign of miscarriage. I had 1 morning where I felt a bit sick after eating breakfast but that could be completely unrelated, and I had some erotic dream but these occured during the period when my hcg was definitely falling. When I went for my repeat bloods 13dp5dt nurse had asked if I had any symptoms and it did seem like they were expecting me to have more than I had if my hcg was going up.

@Pingupp Self care your way through this one all the way.

Belle268 · 30/06/2021 18:51

@firefly37 I haven’t watched love island yet but I imagine it’s easy watching - take it easy!

@2mumlife it’s so hard to know what’s down to the meds and what’s an actual symptom. I suppose I just need to sit tight for a few more days & hope for the best. Thank you for sharing your experience with me - I appreciate it isn’t always easy to talk about.

Hope everyone is ok this evening! Might go and watch love island!

Bluemeadowbaby · 30/06/2021 20:53

@Pingupp I'm hoping you are okay 💕 I know this time right now is not easy but know you're in my thoughts x

@lucymills1234 welcome to the board! Wishing you lots of luck with your little embie on board! I'm really sorry to hear about your previous experiences but hoping this time around it's a bit different for you. With my little boy I had lots of period like cramps it was a dull ache which when I did test positive at 7dp5dt it made it more noticeable but it just felt blah 🥴 I also too was a farter! But again these are all symptoms of the meds however I'm hoping this is a good sign for you 🤞🏼 x

@Verbena87 keep going lady! Not long now 🤞🏼 you're so strong not testing 🙈 x

@Belle268 welcome to the board! Wishing you lots of luck! And congratulations on your previous success. I understand your feelings of hoping for a sibling so I'm hoping even with the news of degenerating there is still hope...crazy things happen dont they ☺️ Not long now until test day... I would say to go with your gut. I tested at 7dp5dt on my fresh cycle and had a very clear faint bfp which I was in total deny of. I'm probably the devil on your shoulder right now 😄😇 how have you felt in your tww?x

@Mancbear88 holding out hope for you...sounds promising! X

Sending hugs to all that need them. It sounds like it’s been a bit of a day one way or another.

Has anyone spoken to a clinician about the vaccine and first trimester? Specifically what are the actual reasons you might choose to delay until the second trimester? Currently in the not-very-calming situation of having OTD Tuesday, phone appointment about vaccine Wednesday, and second dose booked for Thursday which I may or may not cancel based on test result and GP chat. Feel slightly like my head is exploding (and have tradespeople in tomorrow to work on our project house and I just cannot be arsed with it all).
