Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@StrongEagle Thanks. Just feeling shit about all the whole processes right now and feeling like this is never actually going to work.

@walshh091186 Like StrongEagle says you can always ask for bloods, but if there was a viable pregnancy you should really be getting a positive at 14dp. Did you try with a FRER? That was picking up hcg in my system yesterday despite my blood levels coming back at 4, so I think if there is anything FRER will catch it

Pingupp · 24/06/2021 16:47

@2mumlife oh I am really sorry that it's been confirmed. This really is crap news.
Take some time to clear your head and get through the next few weeks :-(

@walshh091186 can your gp do a blood test? What did the clinic say?

@StrongEagle good to see you back. Sounded like you needed some time out. You have you plan - that's good. And don't worry about the food!

Xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 24/06/2021 18:14

@2mumlife I'm so sorry to hear of your news, I have been thinking of you today. Sending you so much love & hoping you can take this time to build each other back up. Life can be really unkind sometimes and I don't have many words which may be of comfort because I know how shit the feeling is. Just know that I'm thinking of you. Sending hugs x

@walshh091186 this sounds so very frustrating for you, can the clinic maybe offer a blood test to confirm? As much as I am the optimist, I would say to have the mindset of that it may be the meds - so not to give yourself any false hope - but I am the same as you in ways of thinking so I feel I give that advice loosely. Sending love & positivity x

@StrongEagle hey lovely! I'm glad you took the time out to reset, how are you feeling? I'm glad to hear you can have a quick turn around with FET. Do you feel okay with this/what is the process? X

I am so sorry @2mumlife. I really hoped your blood test will tell otherwise. Give yourself some time, it is a lot to process. So unfair.

I am glad you have a plan @StrongEagle. It happens very fast. How do you feel about it?

firefly37 · 24/06/2021 19:22

@walshh091186 @2mumlife ... I am sorry to hear your news. Sending you a big squeeze x
@Pingupp ... I hope you have a great scan tomorrow x
@Verbena87 @MaggieMoo86 ... YAY to transfers tomm ... I hope it all goes smoothly for you x
@Bluemeadowbaby ... hope your stomach and butt are ok!!! x

AFM ... I have my flights and hotel booked and ready for my transfer in the Czech Repub on Monday afternoon! I have just to get a negative tomorrow on the poxy covid PCR test ... everything crossed x

Verbena87 · 24/06/2021 21:27

@2mumlife I’m so sorry lovely, what a load of bollocks it all feels sometimes. Definitely take it easy over the weekend.

@walshh091186 really sorry on your news too. Hope you can have a peaceful weekend.

@StrongEagle that’s amazingly speedy! How are you feeling?

@pingupp and @MaggieMoo86 sending you both lots of luck for tomorrow.

@firefly37 how exciting! Good work getting all the logistics sorted.

2mumlife · 25/06/2021 08:29

Thanks ladies.

Hope there is better luck for those transferring today!

Orsh · 25/06/2021 09:04

Good luck with your transfers today @MaggieMoo86 and @Pingupp!
I was the happiest person after my transfer, I hope you will feel the same :)

I am 10dp5dt today (FET). The past 2 days my tummy feel tense. I have all sort of symptoms, but I believe it's all from the progesteron and oestrogen I am taking.
But this uncomfortable stretching tension in my pelvis, kind of a continuous dull pain with some occasional cramps, I am particularly not happy with that. Has anyone else had similar experience?
Thank you.

Verbena87 · 25/06/2021 11:10

@Orsh sounds normal to me, I had such intense cramps in my ovary area on my previous cycle I was sure he’d implanted in a tube. All was fine; hope you get the same.

Sitting in the waiting room feeling numb. And needing a wee!

Orsh · 25/06/2021 11:42

Best of luck @Verbena87 :)
I hope your embryo will be super sticky and will give you a BFP in 2 weeks time.

MaggieMoo86 · 25/06/2021 11:42

Good luck Verbena!
We cut it a bit fine… came back from our holiday this morning so just having a late breakfast before we head to the clinic.

My partner is allowed in with me which I’m so happy about.
Now I just have to try and time drinking and needing a wee!

How full is a FULL bladder??

HopingForRainbow2021 · 25/06/2021 11:45

@Pingupp sending lots of positive thoughts to you for a wonderful scanstoday :)

@Verbena87 and @MaggieMoo86 hope your transfers both go beautifully for you.

@firefly37 I am also hoping to have transfer for Monday - fingers crossed for us both!

After my last post about my lining, we managed to get it to 8mm, so transfer is set to be Monday, though I haven't been given a time as yet. I am nervous about it still, as on my last cycle (fresh) my lining started to degenerate and they cancelled the transfer - hence this FET. Really hoping the lining stays strong this time.

@StrongEagle it is so good that you are able to try again so soon. I have found so far that the only thing to keep me going is just to keep looking forward and keep planning. I really hope that this next time is your time.

@2mumlife I am so sorry for what you have been through - this is all just so hard. I didn't have any frosties from my first cycle, and had to start again from the beginning, I really do appreciate that part of where you are currently at. It came around relatively quickly though, and once you are back in the middle of it all the hope returns again xx

firefly37 · 25/06/2021 12:01

@HopingForRainbow2021... Yay transfer buddies!! :)

Good luck ladies today for transfers and scan!!

I'm a bit calmer this morning after being full of anger last night.... My partner came home from work and told me that he bumped into an old team colleague at work. He told her we were trying for baby number 3 and apparently she was very animated in how "crazy" we were! My partner explained our feelings about that under the circumstances we couldnt ever destroy an embryo to which she said "its just cells, just like fingernails that we throw away"... I was horrified. What a horrendous thing to say to a person who cannot have children naturally! Xx

Orsh · 25/06/2021 12:21

@MaggieMoo86 Once I was told that for a full bladder drink 1.75pint water 45 minutes before your appointment.
I found it a useful guidance.

2mumlife · 25/06/2021 13:40

@Orsh I had a lot of cramping this cycle. Its still there even though I've stopped the progesterone now (waiting for AF)

@MaggieMoo86 I was told it should be comfortably full :)

@firefly37 Those little cells mean EVERYTHING when you're trying. How rude of her!

@HopingForRainbow2021 Good luck for transfer! Do you know why your lining degenerated on your fresh transfer? I'm so grateful we had 1 frostie so we didn't have to go straight back into EC. I found the whole EC experience awful last time - I stimmed for too few days, got way too few eggs, was an emotional and hormonal wreck and started AF just 4 days after the transfer. I just don't want to go through that again. DP and I are talking about whether we do a planned freeze-all given how badly the fresh transfer went and how much better the FET went.

I feel a bit like getting back on the train today - supplements ordered, diet planning again, even having a think about doing accupunture as its the only thing we've not tried at this point. I want to get the EC out the way over the summer whilst its much quieter work wise, so it means I've just got to get my head back in the game I guess.

Pingupp · 25/06/2021 13:46

Hi ladies so it's not good news.... they are not sure if I am actually having an eptopic at the moment :-(
They have taken bloods and nurse will call me tomorrow and we go from there.
All meds stopped today apart from my steroids which I need to reduce down now over next 2 weeks.
I feel really dizzy and have done for past few days which is a sign of eptopic. So they just need to monitor me.
We are understandably upset but will try again - we have 6 in the freezer so just need to sort my body out and our heads and go again. Good news is I have my 2nd Covid jab booked for Weds and we are now thinking of pissing off to Majorca, Malta or Ibiza for a week to recover.

I hope all the transfers went well today - do enjoy it!! It's a really special time. Don't over test or start testing til the clinic tell you too!!! Try and enjoy it. Wishing you all luck.

Xxxx

firefly37 · 25/06/2021 16:35

@2mumlife ... wasnt she just ... I called her a lot of rude names! I dont know how DP was able to stay calm but I am generally the more feisty of us lol ...
@MaggieMoo86 @Verbena87 ... how did it go?!?!
@Pingupp ... I am so sorry to read your news, stay strong x
@Orsh ... I felt both of my babies implant ... basically on day 3 after transfer I had about 30 seconds of stabbing pains with both of them which I was told was likely them implanting! When I felt the stabbing pains with my DD, I was with family and started smiling to myself ... they asked why and I said "its worked!" ... and it had! Symptoms after were general achy and stretchy pains.

I am nervously awaiting my Covid results which will allow me to fly on Sunday morning .... eeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk xxx

MaggieMoo86 · 25/06/2021 17:11

Firefly- I hope you get a lovely break. It will be so good for you to have some sun and relaxation.

Transfer is done! When they first scanned me my bladder wasn’t full enough then I had another litre of water and was basically in agony waiting to do it!
Nothing to do now but wait and try to stay busy!
How is everyone planning on spending the weekend?

Bluemeadowbaby · 25/06/2021 18:09

@Pingupp ahhh...this really is so sad to hear 😔 im hoping you are okay and that you're taking care of yourselves. It's amazing you still have 6! Such an incredible number! Keep faith & definitely go get yourselves that well deserved break! Sending loads of love & hugs your way x

@Orsh I didn't feel implantation I don't think but the day I tested was 6dp5dt as I was ready to give up. 3dp I had blood on my pessaries and tried not to get too excited but no pain - just loads of farting 😂 I remember starting to wake up and had period pain then I thought I maybe just imagined it as it was really weird because when I stood up it disappeared but I was heartbroken thinking that was it! I tested positive that day and then for the whole day it felt like I was about to poo myself (that kind of tummy ache that comes and goes) 🙈 and just generally feeling bloated and uncomfortable. I think it stayed that way for a few days on and off but definitely felt like my period coming, just a heavy feeling. Nothing came of it tho and I have my crazy little boy x

@Verbena87 @MaggieMoo86 good luck lovelies! How did it go?! X

@firefly37 some people are just so heartless and seem to have some form of word vomit when it comes to clearly being uncomfortable (dick headed) when it comes to not knowing what to say or when not to say anything at all! Sadly, it's always these people who stick in our thoughts but try not to let them wind you up too much even though I too would love to give them a nice bosh to the throat right now! 😠 x

@2mumlife glad to hear you're feeling a little brighter today. You do you and go at the pace you want to lovely x

So ladies, AF caught me well of guard today! I was out walking the dog and thought hey...I peed 🥴 forgot about it and came home, sorted my little boy out ready to go out to town (it's still such a big one for me heading out into the real world with him on my own, but I did it! 🥳) remembered I needed to actually pee and sort the pee pants but hello!...AF! 😳🙈
I've been given my scan date for 26th July, patches to start on 5th July and an estimated transfer of 9th august but AF has come a lot earlier than they thought - laughing to myself that could transfer really be around 5th august?! Same as with my boy?! 😂😂😂 got to laugh as I'm totally crapping myself! X

Wow, busy day all round.

@Pingupp I’m so sorry, that must be so tough. Sending lots of love. I think a little escape to the sunshine sounds ideal.

@firefly37 and @HopingForRainbow2021 good luck for Monday!

@Bluemeadowbaby that’s so funny about your dates lining up with last time. Are you excited?

Transfer done here but it was a bit of a fiddle as I’ve got a retroverted uterus and it was really far back, plus my prolapse was getting in the way of my cervix, so there was a lot of wrangling and very pressy ultrasound to get a clear view. However, embryo survived the thaw, expanded quickly and apparently looked great, so everything crossed! Have been quite sore/crampy since and had a bit of spotting on the way home, but all settled now. We’ll see.

I might duck out til test day (6th august) as I really don’t want to test early and think I need to restrict my googling/overthinking, but will be sending good wishes for everyone and will come and update/catch up when I’ve tested. Xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 25/06/2021 19:57

@Verbena87 glad to hear blast looked great! I too have a retroverted uterus so I imagine mine will be a fiddle this time round too 🙈 hoping you have a lovely relaxing evening and good luck for test date I'll be thinking of you and I agree a good hold out is a good idea! Sending lots of bfp sprinkle dust your way ✨
I feel weird about it if I'm honest lol, it kinda makes me think it's a bit of a bad time as surely you can't strike lucky twice on the same path?! But then I guess that's me just setting myself up a little cushion to soften the blow if it comes to it - not to be a Debbie downer 😂 but I'll hold out some hope...followed the same path as my mum exactly 30 years ago even copying her with a section so who knows! 🤣 x

Congratulation for being PUPO @Verbena87 and @MaggieMoo86. Such a big step :)

Thank you for all your comments. I don't think I felt the implantation, as for me all cramps felt similar. I am not worried much about the cramps, rather this tender feeling, which has been on for the 3rd day, non-stop. Feeling that my tummy is very tender and hardened to an uncomfortable level. I had a big sharp pain yesterday, but that would be too late for implantation.
I will know soon 🤞. I had a bfn frer on 8dp5dt, but I don't make much of it.

I am so sorry for your news @Pingupp. No words.

@Bluemeadowbaby my cycle was 8 days shorter than usual, so everything happened a bit off schedule, but let's hope it's because it will work better with the new dates 😉. Good luck!

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today @2mumlife. I had a freeze all planned (even though the all ended up to be 1) and I was greatful for it even though I couldn't wait for the transfer. I was very sore after my EC and not sure how I could have cooped with a fresh transfer. I felt better thinking that I have time to heal before the transfer. Summer sounds good , hopefully the sunshine will make the whole process easier for you.

2mumlife · 26/06/2021 14:21

@Pingupp Really hoping this is not an ectopic for you

@Orsh I didn't feel implantation, just had cramps whole wait (immpretty sure from progesterone). I had implantation bleeding 6dpt which was first day I tested positive. My bleeding was very brown so old blood so assuming it actually implanted before that day.

Happy waiting @MaggieMoo86 and @Verbena87

firefly37 · 26/06/2021 15:31

@Bluemeadowbaby --- woohoo you have a timetable! So exciting ... and YES you can be that lucky so keep thinking positive :)
@Verbena87 --- great news on your blast ... I keep forgetting that they have to survive :( ... I have two (one better than other) so surely one has to survive, everything crossed. I also have a retroverted womb so always a fiddle for me! I always end up almost upside down on the reclining chair/bed!
@MaggieMoo86 --- definitely keep busy! Although easier said than done I know ...

My Covid PCR results arrived at 0445 this morning and its negative ... PHEWWWWW ... So i now have to finish my work shift today at midnight and then leave home for the airport at 5am :( TIRED MUCH lol

xx

Pingupp · 26/06/2021 16:12

Hi girls - so update. My hgc level shows it was a positive pregnant which is good so I need to have another blood test on Monday and then see if it is declining or rising.... so I am a bit in limbo.
Also out satellite clinic nurse is off next week so got to drive an hour to Southampton for the blood test - ffs!
I just say the lady on the phone earlier never said sorry or asked if I was ok- very matter of fact. Shame really when this is obviously a shit time for me and also cost us so much money....!!! Xx
