Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@Mancbear88 Good on your for getting the maccies, and fingers crossed for you. Can't imagine how hard it is to stay positive after previous loses Flowers

@Verbena87 @Pingupp I wish I'd just said yes to doing the test tomorrow as clinic first suggested. My car had MOT today but it's passed with absolutely nothing needing done so I've got car back so could physically have got there tomorrow, and I've pre-recorded my presentation for this conference tomorrow because my head's a mess and it's going to just as much a mess tomorrow if I'd gone for the test than not I think now. Kicking myself a bit.

Fertility is the first time since being a teenager where I've really thought "you know what, being gay sucks". Once I'd done all the initial tests with the clinic and they said everything's grand, I really thought this was going to be a case of do a couple of IUIs and we'd have a baby. Ha! I honestly don't know how all you ladies who have had to try for years before getting to the clinic stage do it. You are warriors Star

DP is the fountain of endless positivity to counter-balance me at the moment - she's taking the view of it being positive I can at least get an embryo to implant at long last and that she's got more confidence now for future. I'm sure I'll catch up to that feeling eventually Sad

2mumlife · 23/06/2021 07:33

Hope you're all well this morning.

I seem to have got out the more positive side of the bed this morning. Trying to focus on good sign today that things might still be ok (i.e. no bleeding/spotting still, nipples are still a bit tender, just had 2 nights of sex dreams Blush! )

Distracting myself with a conference today as I've got the urge again to want to test (with a massive hope I might be able to see my urine hcg increasing)

How is everyone else doing?

Pingupp · 23/06/2021 07:50

@2mumlife you must be going through a range of emotions at the moment.
When are you back in - tomorrow?
It's good to try and have a bit of a positive head on but totally get the need to protect ourselves during this really difficult time.
Your DO is right - you can get a embaby to implant - so that's a massive step. Some poor ladies don't even get that far even with lots of medical intervention.
It's not fair at all this whole lottery!
Try and have a good day if you can - sun is shining here :-)
Xx

Mancbear88 · 23/06/2021 08:30

@2mumlife sex dreams were one of my symptoms with my BFP 😂

2mumlife · 23/06/2021 08:39

@Pingupp Appointment tomorrow is at 7:30am can you believe. Its a bit damp and miserable here this morning.

@Mancbear88 I'm really hoping this is the case! I'm still feeling unusually sensitivie 'down there' too. Its all just a bit weird. Luteal med have never stopped me having AF before, so I think if it was totally all over I'd have just started bleeding Hmm

Bluemeadowbaby · 23/06/2021 12:11

@2mumlife oh the sex dreams 😳🙈 I had many of them with my bfp about people I didn't even class sexually attractive and then completely went off my partner - had a big thing for Chris Hughes from love island and convinced myself I'd meet him and run off with him 😂😂😂
Hoping this is a positive sign for you 🤞🏼
I'm in a massive spring clean today while my boy is at nursery I can't stop! Feeling a little sore on my tummy today. They had to freeze my stomach and described the sensation as a belly button piercing which was fine but wow...A bit bruised. I'm not kidding you, the size of the zoladex injection...wow!! I never looked at the ones I used to have but I took a peek yesterday...And I used to have that in my butt with no freeze spray, no wonder I had a sore arse after 😂 x

@Bluemeadowbaby Why'd they go stomach with the big needle! I had prostap in my butt

I kind of caved and tested again (not FMU). Showing a light positive on FRER still (though looks lighter I would say than my previous earlier tests, but then my previous earlier tests all look darker I think now they've dried) but interestingly also registered on an ultra early clear blue (used same wee for both).

Not sure what to think - I obviously still have hcg in my system somewhere Hmm. Its probably still way to faint though for 12dp5dt. See what they say tomorrow...

Pingupp · 23/06/2021 13:27

@2mumlife oh man that's early but suppose you will find out fairly quick? This testing must be agonising for you. I am a mess myself and that is from doing just 1 test. Tomorrow night I am gonna be stressed to the max as the scan is fri. Scanxiety is gonna hit me big time..... x

@Bluemeadowbaby I totally am with you on the chris Hughes crush - he is a fine looking man. I am currently crushing on Jack Grealish ( England player ) my poor partner last night had to ensure me just saying - fit a lot during the match! Not had any dreams though :-( Shame!!

2mumlife · 23/06/2021 13:43

@Pingupp That's exciting for scan though! Hopefully everything will be progressing perfectly for you. I'm not sure having the first appointment of the day gets me my results back any quicker! My clinic seems to have their call-back session from about 2 each day. I feel calmer today though, but I think thats because I now feel I've read everything I can and there are no more answers now until tomrrow, (and even then I don't think its going to be over tomorrow if I'm still picking up hcg on the tests today....)

Bluemeadowbaby · 23/06/2021 14:15

@2mumlife I'm not too sure but made me cringe a lot...I'd prepped my butt and everything 🤣
Keeping my fingers crossed that there's still hope for you but you sound level minded which in a sense is a good thing?

@Pingupp ohhh you're my kinda gal 😂 yay to football! Hopefully some dreams will crop up 😂

OP posts:
2mumlife · 23/06/2021 14:52

@Bluemeadowbaby Yeah, I feel quite level minded about it at the moment. I'm just kind of assuming this is going to be a slow chemical - if I'd picked up something stronger on the tests today I'd of had more hope that my numbers might be up tomorrow, but I don't really think thats going to happen.

Love that you prepped your butt!

Pingupp · 23/06/2021 16:29

@2mumlife sounds like you have got the right head on your shoulders now to deal with what is coming your way.
You got this honey xx

@Bluemeadowbaby they are all so young!! But keeping me occupied :-)

Orsh · 23/06/2021 18:05

I have everything crossed for you @2mumlife that you get a positive result tomorrow.
My clinic does the beta blood 2 weeks after transfer. This embaby could be a late implanter.
Also, it is amazing when someone gets a strong BFP on day 6, 8 or 10, but to be fair we all are different and if you look at a weekly HCG chart, week 4 and 5 can really vary.

I just had my first fertility counselling session today. The lady was lovely, but I am not sure it made a difference. Maybe if I wasn't at work....

Verbena87 · 23/06/2021 19:07

Be thinking of you tomorrow @2mumlife - let us know how you get on if you feel up to it.

@Orsh glad you had a counselling session: I’ve never had fertility counselling but in my experience other sorts have been gradual rather than instant, so hopefully things will ease a bit soon. I am finding work so hard at the moment: keep making silly mistakes and feel like the rest of my team are really having to carry me at the moment, it’s rubbish. Off now until Monday, and transfer Friday, so am trying to just switch off a bit.

2mumlife · 23/06/2021 20:46

@Orsh I had a good positive at 6dpt with implantation bleeding, so HG level should be a lot higher by now. Fully expecting chemical, I'm just hoping its not an ectopic pregnancy.

@Verbena87 I feel like that with work too at the moment. It's great you're off work now for a few days, hope you can have a relaxing weekend

MaggieMoo86 · 23/06/2021 22:51

My transfer is on Friday afternoon. I’m staying as relaxed as I can. Any tips on what to do on the night before/ morning of?

Verbena87 · 23/06/2021 23:47

@MaggieMoo86 I’m Friday morning, be thinking of you!

I honestly can’t remember from last time. I have instructions on how much to drink for a full bladder but otherwise I think just try to stay slightly sane?! Listening with interest for anyone else’s tips.

2mumlife · 24/06/2021 09:02

@MaggieMoo86 @Verbena87 Just get your bag packed night before and try to get a good sleep. We always leave some extra time to get to clinic morning of transfers not to cause any stressed, and I normally take some water in the car so I can get bladder to right level on arrival. Good luck for Friday for you both!

Pingupp · 24/06/2021 12:32

@2mumlife how are you doing today?

@Verbena87 @MaggieMoo86 next fri is a busy day!! I will be thinking of you.

Bluemeadowbaby · 24/06/2021 13:52

@2mumlife hoping you are okay? X

StrongEagle · 24/06/2021 14:23

Hello team, hope you are all ok, sorry I have been quiet I needed a couple of days to wallow and eat everything in sight. Just spoke to my doctor who said as soon as I get AF I can do my next FET, which is sooner than I thought as I thought I would need to wait a cycle.

@2mumlife you have been constantly in my thoughts and I'm hoping with sending all my positive thoughts your way that you get good news today xxx

I need to catch up on everyone's else's posts so I am up to date xxx

Can't wait for AF to come now x x

2mumlife · 24/06/2021 15:33

Confirmed chemical for us I'm afraid. We only had 1 frostie so "back to the drawing board" as nurse said.... Hate the idea of having to do another EC again...

walshh091186 · 24/06/2021 15:34

So our 3rd IVF attempt failed on Saturday (11dp5dt) I had no symptoms or anything and a BPN however, we carried on the drugs until 14dp5dt Tuesday and still got BPN . We stopped everything Monday night . I still have no signs of a period and also my boobs are so so sore yesterday and today. Do you think it's just a symptom of stopping the progesterone suppositories and also injections and also progynova tablets??? When should I expect a bleed??
Or could there be a small chance I am pregnant we had two embroyos put in on the 8th June.
Very confused as thought it was all over but Iv got this feeling to hang on in there?? Am I just being stupid and clinging on to anything!
Thanks

StrongEagle · 24/06/2021 15:37

@2mumlife I'm so sorry to read this xxx wish I had words of comfort but I don't think there are any x we are here for you x

StrongEagle · 24/06/2021 15:39

@walshh091186 could you ask your clinic for a blood test to put your mind at rest?

I had to request one with my clinic and now I think I would want one for every IVF attempt.
