Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@Pingupp I'll get blood work done again in a few days and nurse says they go from there. If levels have come down I think they just tell me to stop meds and let it end naturally, if numbers are the same or go up I think I have more repeats until they can identify what's going on (e.g. ectopic, something else)

@Tarsette Yeah, it's really weird being in this bittersweet place because it is the first time we've ever had any glimmer that I can actually get pregnant, so in that way it feels like we've made some kind of progress, just progress that feels shit right now

Pingupp · 21/06/2021 19:32

@2mumlife - that sounds horrible for you, the not knowing... I am keeping everything crossed for you. I suppose try and keep as busy as you can. Big hugs xx

StrongEagle · 21/06/2021 19:39

@2mumlife sending you my love and I hope the days fly by so you can have more certain answers xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 21/06/2021 20:05

@2mumlife I'm very lost for words with your news, this journey can be absolute bullshit but I'm really glad to hear the clinic are looking after you through these hard times. I hope you're okay & your partner too. Sending lots of love & hugs your way xx

@CurlyWurlyTwos welcome to the board! Congratulations on your bfp! When they fire numbers at you it can be so daunting! Is there any way you can get an early reassurance scan? I know that's another add to finances but most clinics will scan from 6 weeks?
With my boy I was the same, very mild symptoms and the "sickness" didn't hit me until well over 8 weeks and even that came to only a couple of spews (after a Chinese!) I found symptoms weren't as I expected at all. For now, enjoy the moment but if it's eating you up you could maybe look into the early scan just to be sure but I'm certain everything will be just fine x

@Verbena87 I'm hoping your day got a little brighter for you, panic attacks are shit and can leave you feeling so drained so I hope you're taking it easy tonight. And as for the dentist...that's a panic in itself! 😄🙈 have a good cry lady! They're always better out than in! I think you have so much going on in your body & mind that emotions are so heightened but being kind to yourself & getting yourself home was the right thing to do. Sending love x

Thanks @Bluemeadowbaby - came home and slept for 2 hours, which has helped. Yes dentist is an entire stress of its own especially as I’m not registered with a dentist (on waiting list but it’s forever long) so had to sort nhs appointment via 111, and now I’m worried there’ll be all kinds of issues from not having gone in ages, and also feeling a bit silly because the pain is of course gone now my appointment is nearly here! Think I’ll be glad to get my week out of the way, one way or another! X

Bluemeadowbaby · 21/06/2021 22:28

@Verbena87 you've had a tough time bless you, definitely good to recuperate and a 2 hour nap sounds prime! Hoping you feel a bit better tomorrow and that the dentist goes okay. I'm always so nervous of the dentist and I laugh to myself thinking I've been through countless surgeries and EC and that poxy dentist seems scarier than all of the above! You've got this x

2mumlife · 22/06/2021 07:08

@Verbena87 I'm similar to you - moved just before covid so I've not had a chance to re register with a new dentist. Hope it's all ok for you! I hate dentists too

Pingupp · 22/06/2021 13:51

@2mumlife @Bluemeadowbaby how are you ladies doing today?
@Verbena87 how are you and your teeth?
Xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 22/06/2021 13:54

@Pingupp all okay this end had my consultation this morning and just sat in clinic waiting for my zoladex injection for down regulating. I'm just watching all the poor people having to pay for their treatments and just feel so sad about it, really has hit me in the feels that we have to pay so much to get our dreams 😔 x

OP posts:
Pingupp · 22/06/2021 13:58

@Bluemeadowbaby I know - it really is shocking how much we have had to pay.
And people can pregnant without every trying or wanting to!! Sod's law....

@StrongEagle I meant I ask how you are doing - sorry!! Are you feeling strong and ready to go again? Xx

firefly37 · 22/06/2021 14:31

@StrongEagle @2mumlife... I'm sorry to read your news... Stay strong xx

firefly37 · 22/06/2021 14:33

My transfer is now officially booked for Monday 28th. Flight and hotel booked... Nerves well and truly setting in x

Pingupp · 22/06/2021 14:43

@firefly37 exciting- where are you having it done? X

firefly37 · 22/06/2021 14:47

Hi @Pingupp.. Am back to the Czech Republic. Its been a bit of a nightmare to sort it all due to covid but on the home straight now. I have a hatching blast patiently waiting since Jan 2019 xxx

Pingupp · 22/06/2021 14:50

@firefly37 oh goodness. Hope that it's a glitch free process for you to get out there and a nice smooth transfer xx

2mumlife · 22/06/2021 14:57

@firefly37 That's exciting, good luck!

@Bluemeadowbaby I don't even want to think how much we've sunk into this so far. We've got one more EC round (and however many FETs that may or may not produce) then that's us done. We can't financially or emotionally keep doing this forever.

@Pingupp Honestly can't concentrate on anything today. Been reading various things and this almost never ends well, so in some ways I just want it to be really clearly over with on Thursday, as I've read other ladies who have had really drawn out ectopics and things with similar numbers to me

Pingupp · 22/06/2021 15:23

@2mumlife I am so sorry it just sounds awful. Are you feeling ok? Xx

2mumlife · 22/06/2021 15:42

@Pingupp I'm ok. Completely exhausted today, and just tired and fed up of the whole process in general at the moment.

Pingupp · 22/06/2021 16:07

@2mumlife hope Thurs comes quickly and if bloods don't go your way that they can stop the meds and let you get past the next phase. Sending hugs xx

Verbena87 · 22/06/2021 18:14

You are all so lovely. Teeth fine, I need a softer tooth brush and to scrub less hard. That’s it. Honestly think I am developing health anxiety.

@Bluemeadowbaby you’re on the way! Fingers crossed.

@firefly37 hope all goes smoothly - not long now!

@2mumlife I think feeling over it all is totally understandable. Fingers crossed Thursday is unambiguous and you can get a bit of closure if nothing else.

Mancbear88 · 22/06/2021 18:40

@2mumlife sorry to hear you’re in limbo - it’s just a crap process. Imagine being one of them people who just have sex once or twice, do one pregnancy test and get a baby!

I’ve had my transfer (and maccies chips 🍟 ) today. Just not feeling as invested in this one, think it’s because with my two positives they ended in miscarriage so it’s probably a bit of self protection. But hoping that maybe it will help as I’m not stressed about it.

@Mancbear88 congrats!! Hope it's a sticky one x

Verbena87 · 22/06/2021 20:26

@Mancbear88 all the best.

I’ve just been for a walk across the fields, only 10 minutes or so but highly recommend if your head is fried: this time of day/year is so bloody beautiful. Birdsong and straggly wildflowers and the elderflowers smelling all sherbet-sweet and hopeful. Am now locked in a battle of wills with the toddler (he thinks it is time to read lego comics. I know it is time he went the fuck to sleep.) but it was lovely while it lasted 🤣
