Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@StrongEagle I dare not test again. I am in our bubble now. Bloody hope all is ok! Yes 6 wk scan next fri - so quick!!

@2mumlife fingers crossed you will get there too. This whole process is a head f*ck! Excuse the language ;-)

Bluemeadowbaby · 18/06/2021 17:08

@MaggieMoo86 welcome to the board! Wishing you lots of luck in your journey 💕 I'm really sorry to hear about the two early losses & hoping 3rd times a charm for you! 🤞🏼 x

@2mumlife @StrongEagle keep strong ladies 💪🏼 if it's of bay comfort my evening tests were always stronger than the morning ones strangely so I just stuck to testing on an evening for the reassurance might be worth a shot? X

@2mumlife well I don’t know really some sites seem to say 5AA is much better than 6AA and some say they’re both as good. But we’ll see what happens.

I know it’s easier said than done but this early on there’s a lot of variation in tests from just how much you drink and time of day. My tests are much stronger 2nd or 3rd morning wee. They also get stronger as they dry. I don’t think a slight difference is anything to worry about (says the obsessive tester!)

Ladies! I fiiiiinally have a date!! 😍 Tuesday we have our final consultation and I will head to clinic that day for zoladex for down regulation, collection of meds and been given a transfer date w/c 9th august 👀 a little more waiting which is frustrating but trusting the process all the more. I did cringe a little at the date...my boy was transferred on 5th august and we share the same birthday 😂 I wonder what the odds are for second time lucky second baby sharing a birthday from the same batch! 🥴🙃 x

Thanks @Bluemeadowbaby xxx keep your fingers crossed for my bloods tomorrow x

firefly37 · 18/06/2021 17:22

Hi ladies,
Wow what a day for rain!!
@StrongEagle... So happy for u!!
@2mumlife... Everything crossed but looking good 🤞😊
@Bluemeadowbaby.. Yay to a date 😍
@MaggieMoo86... Welcome!!
@Mancbear88... Congrats on ur lining scan... Mine is on Sunday... It was very thick last month but fingers crossed not too thick 😳
Well... I did something today... Two weeks prior to having my cycle with my DD, I was in tesco and the Christmas jumpers were on sale. I couldn't help but buy a little 3 month sized neutral jumper and told my other half that this IVF was going to work and this will be their Christmas jumper... It did and it was!!! So... Today I am in tesco and in the sale rail is a neutral 3 month Happy Easter vest/babygro... If this cycle works bubba would be due a month or so before Easter!! I took it as a sign and had to do it!! xxxx

2mumlife · 18/06/2021 18:55

@Pingupp Oh it absolutely is!

@Mancbear88 How interesting! I really haven't read up on different gradings - I was just so relieved to get 2 embryos, never mind having them both AA rated, from my crap EC round. Seems there is often too much emphasis put on grades though.

@Bluemeadowbaby Glad things are starting to happen for you. Never heard of zoladex before (always fascinating the different protocols). How cute would that be for another sharing same birthday! 💗

@firefly37 Here is hoping for you!!!!

2mumlife · 18/06/2021 18:56

@Mancbear88I might stop drinking things then and give the evening wee thing a go!

Bluemeadowbaby · 18/06/2021 23:08

@2mumlife it is isn't it, zoladex is the same as prostap which basically puts my body into a menopausal state of switching off. I think they're using this with me due to the endo as I had this after my endo removal and just before my first ivf cycle. I'm surprised I'm being given it on Tuesday I thought I'd have to wait for a bleed then wait till cd21 and wait again so I'm pleased with that x

@Bluemeadowbaby hooray for getting a date. And I’d not fret about shared birthdays - my son was meant to be mid august and arrived the 1st of September (I am never going to 42 weeks ever again!). It’s all crossed for you - the buserelin downreg has been rough for me but it’s last shot tomorrow 🎉.

@StrongEagle got it all crossed for your bloods tomorrow.

@MaggieMoo86 welcome!

@firefly37 I think you did the right thing buying the Easter bits. I always shy away from getting things in advance but recently realised that’s insane because what I’m telling myself is “if I don’t allow myself to get excited, a failed cycle/loss won’t hurt as much”, and I think that’s nonsense: I think crap things hurt regardless and you might as well feel your feelings and enjoy the moments of hope as they pop up.

2mumlife · 19/06/2021 08:11

So driving myself insane. Tested again this morning and still looks very light. Last 3 mornings are all about the same really I guess. I don't know if I just have a low rising HCG, crap wee, or if this is a sign we might be looking at something not quite being right.

My camera is a bit rubbish but I've tried taking a photo. They look a bit like squinters on photo but they are clearer in person - light, but definitely there

Verbena87 · 19/06/2021 08:20

@2mumlife they look like they’re getting gradually darker to me though that could be the photo. I think try to stay hopeful - it’s still super early days.

Mancbear88 · 19/06/2021 08:23

@2mumlife that 8dp5dt is definitely darker, 7 looks darker than 6 too. The hormones only double every two days so wouldn’t expect 6 and 7 to show much change.

2mumlife · 19/06/2021 08:28

Thank you both for replies

@Mancbear88 Me and DP are both convinced 7 looks the lightest of the 3!

I think it may just be insane trying to compare super early tests. Bugger.

I've told DP I won't test tomorrow (because today's test was actually like a 4am test because I've become neurotic). I get bloods taken on Monday so will know more then I guess.

Walking with friends today which will mean I am far away from tests for the day which is probably a good thing!

Pingupp · 19/06/2021 09:07

@2mumlife 8 defo looks darker. Step away from the tests......! Enjoy being pregnant and take it easy this weekend. Xx

firefly37 · 19/06/2021 09:41

@2mumlife … I think your tests look great! Congrats :)
@Verbena87 … I believe staying positive can only be a good thing! :)

xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 19/06/2021 19:24

@2mumlife just wanted to say 8dp looks much darker and you can see the progression. Sending positive vibes your way & lots of positivity tests for OTD! X

@Verbena87 thank you for the positive post 🥰 surely this means I can stop counting my age now I share a birthday right?! 😂 I don't want to count my chickens too soon! But I feel if it's meant to be then it will 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 x

Verbena87 · 19/06/2021 21:31

@Bluemeadowbaby you can definitely stop counting your age.

About to do last dose of buserelin for this cycle here.

Verbena87 · 19/06/2021 23:16

Can I ask about utrogestan?

All I’ve been told is 3 doses a day, morning, middle and bedtime. But have been reading a bit and some places seem to say doses need to be spread evenly. Do they? Or just same times each day?

And do you have to lie down after? This is going to be shit as because of covid and staggered breaks at work I only get 30 mins for lunch of which usually 10-15 minutes is tidying/setting up classroom and the remainder is my only chance to eat.

And can I just stick them up my bum instead? Did this with the cyclogest last time and it was way less messy.

I’ll email nurses tomorrow but just wanted to check if anyone knew anything.

Bluemeadowbaby · 20/06/2021 09:47

@Verbena87 ah yes to the last one!! 🥳👏🏻
With my utrogestan on my first cycle I did the whole spread out 3 a day but on the cycle with my boy they said to just do all 3 before I went to bed...that felt really weird 😂🙈 but worth a check if you can do them all in one go at bedtime? X

OP posts:
Bluemeadowbaby · 20/06/2021 09:49

@Verbena87 also if I remember rightly they did say for me at night to lay down purely because it was less messy than in the day but no needs for a lay down after x

Morning all,
I had my lining scan this morning and all is great at 12.2mm trilaminar!
Have to send the results to my clinic in Czech tomorrow and I should get the go ahead for transfer! A mad dash to book flights and hotel but super excited :) xxx

coffeewithmilk · 20/06/2021 13:10

@Verbena87 I'm on 800mg of utrogestan.
I set my alarm for 10 mins before my 'official alarm'. I get up, pop them in in the morning and lie back down for 10 mins!
Do the same at night time.
X

2mumlife · 20/06/2021 13:22

Thanks for all the positive messages @firefly37 @Bluemeadowbaby. Has a good day yesterday walking. Still don't really know what to think about things progressing. How many days post transfer is the OTd of those of you doing urine tests? My blood test is tomorrow so will tell nurse I've tested at least then.

@Verbena87 I do 3 Utrogestan a day, mornings afternoon and evening, same times as my estrogen pill. I do the first one and last one in bed. With the afternoon one I work from home so I normally lie down, but when on annual leave and weekends I've done this in backs of cars and all sorts now and haven't always laid down. Sitting down is normally totally fine for it not coming out. Whenever you do exercise even light walking etc it shoogles the debris down so I've just been using pantyliners.

I did the cyclogest up the bum but I've found it totally fine doing the Utrogestan up and I do feel a bit like it makes a difference
