Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@walshh091186 hi yes there are a few of us. Congrats - how are you doing? I am on day 10 - test on mon.
Try and enjoy your 2 weeks and bring PUPO x

2mumlife · 12/06/2021 11:36

@Bluemeadowbaby That's great things are getting going for you!

@Verbena87 Sorry to hear you're feeling s bit brain foggy this cycle. Have you had your vaccines yet?

Orsh · 12/06/2021 12:43

Thank you for your supportive words re:counselling.
@Gardenlady543, my counselling app is in 2 weeks as well. They offered me 1 in a week time, but that's my FET day, so maybe not...
I have limited availability due to work, but my preferred days were only available in July, then my 3rd choice in a week time.

It's so exciting to see more and more people getting PUPO, and hope to join you on the rollercoaster of the 2WW soon.

Enjoy the lovely weekend!

Verbena87 · 12/06/2021 19:36

@2mumlife thanks for the kind words. I’ve had my first dose of Pfizer but the second won’t be due until post transfer so just waiting and seeing what happens. If the embryo doesn’t stick I’ll get the second as soon as invited. If I’m lucky enough to get pregnant I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it - torn between greater immunity ASAP and waiting until the second trimester.

@Orsh glad you’ve got an appointment even if it isn’t at the ideal time. Sometimes just knowing you’ve got it booked in can help in my experience - hope that’s true for you too.

2mumlife · 12/06/2021 21:43

@Verbena87 Hopefully the first should mean that if you are in close contact you should have a fighting chance with immunity. My clinic make us sign a covid form before every cycle, just saying we understand the long term effects of having covid when pregnant are unknown and things. I don't think it says anything on there about what happens if you're asked to self isolate when due a scan. I'm lucky as I'm still wfh so I don't come into contact with that many people.

So, tmi, but, is anyone else super farty? My farts absolutely stink at the moment and have for last maybe 4 days or so (and also a bit constipated). Didn't get this on fresh transfer so don't know if it's a Utrogestan thing or what! Blush

Verbena87 · 12/06/2021 23:21

@2mumlife I seem to think my cyclogest farts were pretty knockout last time, yes. I’ll be on the same pessaries as you this time so shall report back when I start (and we can all be glad the Internet isn’t smell-permeable 😂).

If the constipation is bad (mine was AWFUL postnatally) lactoluse is great - super gentle but works and is safe for breastfeeding so probably pregnancy too though of course check.

I have had a proper meltdown this evening after counting my estrogen empty pill blisters and realising I’ve missed a whole day’s dose some time in the last 5 days. Have no idea how apart from aforementioned brain fog. Managed to speak to one of the emergency nurses who said not to worry as the buserelin will prevent my ovaries from kicking up any fuss regardless and if my lining needs a bit longer to thicken as a result we can just adjust dates, but it’s likely to be completely fine - but I’m still tearful and so disappointed in myself. Hate feeling so useless.

Anyway, think it’s a sign to try and seriously calm down and take things one moment at a time.

Morning ladies,
Thank you @Pingupp I'm ok not very positive today I'm 5dp5dt and I tested and got a negative...;( I feel different this time though , I have no symptoms really apart from the severe cramps and diarrhoea the night before last. But think that might be down to the pessaries and progesterone injections!
This is our last chance I so so so desperate for it to work... could I still get my BFP anyone else still get there's?? X

firefly37 · 13/06/2021 10:09

Hello Ladies,
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday :)
Sorry for the radio silence but we have just got back from a little break in Yorkshire … been trying to catch up with all the posts I have missed!
@StrongEagle … I believe that you are PUPO … fingers crossed!
@Hoping4baby21... Sorry to hear its a negative at the mo … Stay strong … IVF is such a tough process for so many of us but stick with it …
@englaland … Congrats on your BFP!
@coffeewithmilk … YAY to a heartbeat flicker - you much be thrilled!
@2mumlife … Congrats to being PUPO! Fingers crossed!
@Bluemeadowbaby … so glad to hear things have kicked off for you!
@walshh091186 … don't be disheartened yet … its still early.

As for me, AF arrived 9th June so started Progynova and Aspirin on 10th! I have a lining scan on 20th June and if all good (which usually is) then a mad dash to book flights, hotel etc for a likely transfer 27th/28th/29th! My little girl is 20 months old today and such a sassy little diva … I started wondering how she would deal with a new baby should be so very lucky :) !

Lots of luck to all x

firefly37 · 13/06/2021 10:17

@walshh091186 … I got the faintest of all faintest lines on day 5 or 6 with both of mine but they were fresh transfers … if you had a FET I believe that it can take longer to implant... think positive!!!

Pingupp · 13/06/2021 10:30

@walshh091186 I think give it a few more days....
I am day 11 and still haven't tested as too scared to see the result... woke up past 2 mornings at 2am with bad bad cramps. Not hopeful at all :-(
Testing tomorrow 🙏🤞🏻

walshh091186 · 13/06/2021 13:11

@Pingupp everything crossed for you
@firefly37 I hope so! Il try stay positive and not test until at least day 8 or 9post transfer !
Thanks for you support

firefly37 · 13/06/2021 13:30

@Pingupp … good luck! I cant believe you haven't tested yet! Everything crossed x

Tarsette · 13/06/2021 14:04

I tested this morning and is a BFN…this was our last try (had 6 unsuccessful transfers in total) so having to deal with the fact that we won’t be having a second child. It’s extremely painful and I feel really empty, as for the past 2 years, there was always a next step, another cycle to prep for and now there’s nothing at all, just grief and pain. Not sure how you move on from IVF failure…

Gardenlady543 · 13/06/2021 14:13

Oh @Tarsette I'm so sorry, I hope you're ok Thanks

2mumlife · 13/06/2021 15:13

@Verbena87 It's not too bad the constipation, mostly just the farts (DP keeps leaving he room!). It sounds like no harm done really about pills. Is it the afternoon one perhaps youve missed? I've got alarms set on my phone for them all. Another tip is cut the pack so you have 3 for the day to monitor that you've taken them all.

@walshh091186 Still plenty time for things to changes particularly if you're not using a FRER?

@firefly37 Hoping for a thick lining for you!

@Tarsette Oh lovely, I'm so sorry. I think you mentioned something about using a surrogate before? Good luck whatever you chose to do

It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, which is lovely as it's my birthday! Just having a quiet day really and doing nice things (smoked salmon and poached eggs for breakfast, gentle gardening this morning, using lettuce and radish from the garden in salad for lunch, homemade slice of cake, sitting out in the sun reading and even did my daily mindfulness session in the sun, and longastines to look forward to for dinner!). Trying not to dwell that I thought I'd be pregnant before this birthday, and instead trying to be as positive as possible for this little embabie (currently being sat on by a cat!)

Hope you're all getting the chance to enjoy the good weather

Tarsette · 13/06/2021 15:41

@2mumlife thanks… I still have 6 blasts left but they are low grades (5bc, 3bc, etc.) and they haven’t been PGS tested. I also don’t want to put any more hormones into my body. We thought about using a surrogate if we weren’t able to transfer this cycle (as this was a PGS normal good grade embryo) but we feel a bit reluctant to embark on such a complex endeavour if our only remaining elbows are poor grades and not PGS tested…we’ll see… we’re going to take at least a year off from all this and then we’ll reassess and see if we still desperately want a second case, in which case I might decide to have another transfer or use a surrogate. In a way I hope we’ll have decided by then that we are happy with one child as really want us to move on with life and I want to spare ourselves more trauma

StrongEagle · 13/06/2021 16:29

@Tarsette I am so sorry about your BFN I'm sending you love x the rollercoaster of all of this is horrendous x

@2mumlife my only symptom is gas and bloating, although I have been putting it down to eating loads, if I'm not eating I'm thinking about eating.

@Pingupp sending you all my wishes for your test tomorrow

@firefly37 thank you xxx

StrongEagle · 13/06/2021 16:35

I sent that too early! I was going to write a little update on how rubbish I have been at waiting to test. My tests arrived yesterday and as soon as they came I was peeing on one. I got the absolute faintest of lines, it was a really squint and move the test all about type of thing, and no one else would have seen the line I am sure. I took another one this morning and there is a definite pink line now, it's still faint but I am sure I can see it, even did another one just now and it's still there. I hope I don't get addicted to testing.

Trying to not get too ahead of myself because my OTD isn't until Friday and it's such early early days. Also my bf isn't happy I tested early as he is worried for me and my disappointment I suppose x I'm so scared now x

walshh091186 · 13/06/2021 16:50

@Tarsette I'm sorry to hear this... this could me on Saturday ... really really thinking of you

Bluemeadowbaby · 13/06/2021 17:40

@walshh091186 stay strong! 5dp5dt is still very early to detect anything so stay hopeful 🤞🏼 if you are a tester I would say to wait at least until 7dp5dt or longer if you can. What grade was your embie? The only reason I ask is I believe a 5 is almost hatching so if it is a lower number it could be a little longer for hatch and implant x

@firefly37 hello again! 🥰 how was your trip away? Ahh this is very exciting! I'm not sure about you but I love a mad dash...makes it a little more exciting in my eyes 😂 happy 20 months to your little girl! I'm sure she would be an excellent big sister! 🤞🏼 x

@Tarsette im so sorry to hear about your BFN, no words will help as I know how raw and emotional it feels. Have you got support from the clinic to help you through this step? I hope you're okay, we're still here for you! Trying to look at this from a different (hopefully a comfort) but with the other blasts, I know you say they're of poorer quality but to be able to be frozen is good! It takes a lot of thought and a lot of time to consider, if you were to, about a surrogate but having the year out may be a good idea to figure out what you would like to do. Sometimes the idea of it is quite gut wrenching but other times it may click and you may choose to take that path. There's no pressure to do anything other than take care of yourself and your mind for now 💐 x

@2mumlife the farts 😂 I remember them so well! Happy farting! X

@StrongEagle I know what you mean about the frustration of the pink line but it's so nice when you don't have to shine it anywhere so I'm hoping things keep progressing. I was a pee on a stick after work kinda gal and the whole time I was doing it I wasn't accepting it just taking it as another part of the routine 🤦🏻‍♀️ see how you feel on the day, if you want to do it there is no harm as we need to remember that yes even though it's a medicated way of becoming pregnant, we are still women who doing it the "normal" way the others do it before their period...this is just our normal ❤️

@Tarsette sorry to hear your news :-(
That must be really disappointing for you. Stay strong xx

Verbena87 · 13/06/2021 20:35

Oh @Tarsette I’m so sorry. I think a year of headspace is a good idea. Sending strength your way, I can’t imagine how you’re feeling.

walshh091186 · 13/06/2021 20:56

@2mumlife no not using a FRER test no.

Verbena87 · 13/06/2021 22:34

@2mumlife happy birthday - sounds like you’ve eaten like a Queen today: definitely food envy here! I’m on 8mg (so 4 tablets) and taking them all together in the evening, but I might modify your pack-cutting tip and just use a sharpie to write days on the blister pack. That’s a really good thought. Although after getting so upset with myself I don’t think I’ll miss again.

StrongEagle · 14/06/2021 06:57

I think I finally got my BFP!
@Bluemeadowbaby as soon as I woke up I was peeing on the stick 😂
It looks like it is much darker today, but I am worried as it was a grade 4BC and I think they are prone to be chemical, I'm sure I read that somewhere x x I'm still shocked and happy and worried x x
