Hi ☺️
Just starting up a little thread if anyone wants to join me on their FET journey for May/June. I've never had a FET cycle before and wondered if anyone was or is on their way with this journey to offer support and guidance x

@2mumlife I know - he was filming with one hand and holding my hand with the other :-)

@StrongEagle we had embryo glue as part of our transfer. I know all clinics are different. I think the lining is soft, squidgy and inviting enough on its own. We didn't pay extra - not sure I would have done. X

Mancbear88 · 03/06/2021 22:24

@2mumlife my lining doesn’t play ball - the thickest it’s got is 7.5mm (the only cycle of the 3 I got a negative!). Without drugs I wouldn’t have a bleed, no idea why they’ve never said.

Should’ve seen the size of the bag of drugs I got from the pharmacy it was about half my size 😂

2mumlife · 04/06/2021 08:28

@Pingupp 5 tablets is a bit of a faff! You'd think they'd make them in a larger dosage so less tablets.

@Mancbear88 I bet it was massive! I was intimidated enough by the box I got this cycle around (full of blooming applicators for this utrogestan stuff!)

Feeling more positive today and trying to have faith!

Pingupp · 04/06/2021 09:49

@2mumlife it's not that bad. There is so much to remember every morning - just another thing on my tick list!!!

Ladies who have had their ET- what symptoms did you have post transfer? I was incredibly bloated on day and night of transfer - that has calmed down now. I am getting a bit of pain every now and then but nothing major. Just wondered what you experienced?
Praying it's working so much 🤞🏻🙏 x

Gardenlady543 · 04/06/2021 10:06

@Mancbear88 have they tested your oestrogen level during a FET?

I've been having a nightmare, my oestrogen was 8000 on Monday and has still been over 7000 on 2 other tests. It was 800 in my last FET, I was on about half the dose of estradiol I'm on now then. Nobody knows why it's so high, I've been told that 1 follicle would add about 1000, but in 3 scans my ovaries look quiet. I've also been told an ovarian cyst could do this, but again they haven't seen one. The only thing that's there is a patch of fluid outside the ovary (paraovarian fluid collection) that's been there for months now, and nobody is worried about it.

My specialist called me yesterday any said she's cancelling the whole cycle, I feel like doing that would gain nothing. High oestrogen isn't going to harm me, it will go twice as high in a pregnancy. I've had so many tests to get to this point and what's to say the oestrogen won't go this high the next time around. I personally think it's the estradiol, I've found someone in the USA who had a similar level and her specialist shrugged it off and said it's because vaginal estradiol sends it that high.

My specialist agreed that we can still go ahead if progesterone isn't raised, if it is then that would suggest that my body has released an egg, my LH hasn't been raised on 3 blood tests though and I assume there would have needed to have been an LH surge for that to happen. I've had the blood test taken this morning and someone should call me to tell me the result tomorrow. If it's not raised then transfer will be on Friday.

2mumlife · 04/06/2021 13:06

@Gardenlady543 Hopefully you get the go ahead for Friday later today! That's fun we'll hopefully be ET same day. My clinic haven't tested my blood at all this cycle, so I'd say they are maybe being overly cautious - all my clinic did was check my ovaries were being quiet during the lining scan.

@Pingupp I had quite localised pain on one side after my fresh transfer, but nothing came of it. I think its so easy to obsess about every and any possible symptom though!

Gardenlady543 · 04/06/2021 13:40

Oh that's exciting @2mumlife I think they put my OTD for 16dp transfer which seems excessive. Honestly I wish they hadn't bothered testing my oestrogen, I get them wanting to do it to check they have scope to increase up oestrogen if the lining isn't responding. But in my case that wasn't needed and it hasn't done anything but cause problems.

Mancbear88 · 04/06/2021 14:27

@Gardenlady543 not during FET, they tested during my fresh. I had 42 follicles. I had to have an extra week of stims because my lining was thin, my oestrogen levels weren’t particularly high despite 42 follicles. It got to 7.1mm then I think. Fingers crossed it’s not cancelled!

@Pingupp I logged my symptoms last time sorry some is TMI 😂. But everyone is different so I wouldn’t worry (easier said than done).

Day 1 - bloated with some stomach pain, back pain, headache
Day 2 - very bloated, less stomach pain but heavy feeling, slight nausea, slight back ache, constipated
Day 3 - dizziness, bit of pain in left side, lots of CM, slight headaches, cold, calf cramping, tight stomach
Day 4 - erotic dream, slight headache, deja vu, runny nose, some pain like doing sit-ups, tired, burping
Day 5 - runny nose, vivid dream, tired, headache
Day 6 - headache,
Day 7 - stomach pain, bad constipation, hip pain
Day 8 - BFP afternoon, so tired

Orsh · 04/06/2021 15:00

Hi All,
May I join you? I am looking at FET this month.
I am on Progynova, started on CD2 on Saturday and have my lining scan on Tuesday. We have 1 embryo in the freezer.

2mumlife · 04/06/2021 15:41

@Gardenlady543 Wow I've never heard anyone having a OTD that long away. Mine is normally 10 or 11 days after, just depending on days of the week. Yorus is for bloods too right? Seems weird to not test for so long.

@Orsh Welcome to the thread!

@Pingupp I finally actually got to speak to a nurse today, after we kept missing each others calls yesterday (I live rurally with bugger all mobile reception, yet they never just call the house phone...). I said to nurse about my lining not being that thick, and she said that's why I'm on a couple more days of just estrogen before adding in the progesterone. So deep breaths and lots of mindfulness. Super annoyingly, I don't actually have a time for ET on Friday - she said they'd give me a call on Friday to give me a time for that day and it could be anytime between 9 and 2. I think we're just going to drive back from our break early and just hang out in the city I guess? All a bit weird

Pingupp · 04/06/2021 17:00

@Mancbear88 thank you for this. Was yours a fresh or frozen transfer?? I am not testing til day 12 at clinics advice..... I will need to hide the test kit 🤣

@2mumlife yeah that is weird that you don't have a definitive time.... just be ready to go go go!!

@Orsh welcome!!

Mancbear88 · 04/06/2021 18:20

@Mancbear88 that was a frozen cycle. With my fresh my main feeling was pain. I’m pretty sure I had OHSS or something similar but my oestrogen didn’t rise so they transferred.
I’m a serial early tester! I say I’ll wait and then test from about 3 days 😂
You’re right to wait though much better for your sanity!!

Pingupp · 04/06/2021 19:10

@Mancbear88 this 2 week wait is a killer!! I may go a bit round the bend! X

2mumlife · 04/06/2021 21:37

@Pingupp @Mancbear88 I think waiting is easier with a fresh transfer as I always didn't want to pick up the trigger leaving system. This transfer I've gone all out with FRER but I keep thinking I might just drive myself mad testing.

Bluemeadowbaby · 04/06/2021 21:39

@Gardenlady543 keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything goes ahead!! X

@Pingupp my first transfer I felt really tired and had a few niggles but I just felt quite...flat? I came on my period before my test day and was devastated. I tested at 7dp5dt and negative.
Second transfer I could not stop farting 😂🙈 hot flushes randomly but particularly at night and on my pessaries I had a little bit of pink spotting 3 dp5dt. Shrugged it off so not to get my hopes up. 7dp5dt again I woke up and felt like my period was coming and was so upset, I was getting ready to go out with my friend on a shopping trip and thought "to hell with this!" Tested, left it on the side expecting nothing (and for a large glass of wine to say F this!) and to my absolute shock it was a faint bfp!! That whole day I felt so heavy, bloated and uncomfortable and then after that I just felt really hungover every morning x

@Orsh welcome to the board! Wishing you lots of luck with your FET cycle. How are you feeling? X

Pingupp · 04/06/2021 22:53

@Bluemeadowbaby thanks for this...
I have just got to no over analyse any aches/ pains/ farts 🤣 and be patient. Weather is going to be nice again next week and I am back at work so at least I will have that to focus on 🤞🏻 x

Pingupp · 04/06/2021 22:54

@2mumlife I have got the same FRER but only a pack of 2 🥰

Tarsette · 05/06/2021 06:43

@Gardenlady543 so sorry you’re having to deal with these oestrogen levels! Mine get really high but that’s because I have stims for the lining. This cycle they went up to 8000. But one thing I only belatedly realised is my clinic uses a différent unit from à lots of the litterature (pmol/l vs pg/ml) so my levels were actually only 2188 using the other unit... I also had high progesterone on trigger day (1.6 whereas the cutoff is normally 1.5) even though my LH remains low (due to taking cetrotide), but was still allowed to proceed as was so close to the cutoff point... How has your lining behaved this cycle?

@2mumlife hope your lining grew a bit in the remaining 2 days of oestrogen. Did you have it measured again?

@Mancbear88 I remember you from another thread (I don’t so often see ladies with the same thin lining issues as me!). One thins that does strike me is from the conversations I’ve seen int these threads a lot of us had coils previously and that’s what caused my thin lining. There should be WAY more research into this!

I had my transfer yesterday. I have a PGS normal 4AC on board! I have had several chemicals before so am very wary of testing too early. I would rather wait until 9dp5dt. Then if I see a strong line I know it is a real BFP and if only a faint line probably a chemical.

Pingupp · 05/06/2021 08:10

@Tarsette congrats on your transfer x

Mancbear88 · 05/06/2021 10:19

@Tarsette I didn’t realise that about the coil, there should definitely be research! Ive never had the coil my lining is just rubbish. Actually that’s not completely true it’s a perfect three layer lovely blood flow lining but just not much of it!!!
I think there could be more research on it in general as Doctors don’t seem to know too much!

Good luck with this transfer!

Gardenlady543 · 05/06/2021 10:38

Thanks @BluemeadowbabyThanks

@2mumlife mines a urine test, no idea why it's later.

Welcome @Orsh is this your first FET? How are you feeling on the meds so far?

@Tarsette yeah I think most UK clinics use pmol/L which comes up much higher than pg/ml, I've found a lady in the USA who got a similar reading to me in a FET if this unit thing is right. I did ask someone at my clinic a few days ago what unit they use and gave her the 2 options and she thinks it's pmol/L. So my lining size is not really clear, CD11 8.2mm, CD12 7.5mm CD14 the measurer got 7mm initially and then 8mm. So my consultant has concluded it's somewhere between 7 and 8mm, but she said it looks lovely. I've had issues with it looking patchy and strange on transfer day, so I think in my case it's quality not quantity! I'm also a ex coil person, I had the mirena in for 6 years and had in removed when we started TTC back in October 2019, I suspect that's what led to my uterus being full of dysbiotic bacteria. Congrats on being PUPO by the way!

Ah and my update is my progesterone result just came through its 0.5, so it's all systems go for a transfer on Friday. I'm going to try and forget about the oestrogen level for now. It can't be that harmful since it goes this high in fresh cycles and the female body is built to withstand much higher amounts than this.

I hope everyone is relaxed and enjoying the sun!

rainbowtime21 · 05/06/2021 10:46

Hi all,

Hope I can join? I’ve just had my FET today with my last embryo. Last month I had a chemical PG and feel so nervous this time around.

My doctor always flushes the catheter after to make sure it’s gone in but today he didn’t and I completely forgot about it until I was back home. Now I am freaking out maybe it didn’t even go in and feel so upset! My husband thinks I am crazy...

Mez12 · 05/06/2021 11:30

Hi Guys

Hope you dont mind me joining, so I had FET on 24th May, Official test day 5th June, On 6th Day I started with dark brown bleeding, after that it was on and off when I wiped if, not on the pantyline or the pads. Did an early test and it was positive. Tested yesterday and today and still showing positive. I am still bleeding a little whenever I go toilet and wipe it. Just super stressed, not having any pains or cramps etc but could it be a chemical pregnancy :( not being able to get hold off the clinic and they are only available on email on weekend :(

How much bleeding should it be for it to be conclusively chemical :(

Tarsette · 05/06/2021 11:34

@rainbowtime21 oh I know that going crazy feeling all too well! And I think it’s perfectly normal when we have so much riding on this one little transfer. I’ve also just had my last (normal) embryo out in and have been freaking out about every little detail (a few days ago it was about my progesterone being too high on trigger day, then after transfer I started worrying that my embryo looked like it hadn’t expanded after thaw in the pic I was given!). When will you test? It’s tough to think about anything else during the TWW right?
