Transfer this week?

Hi,

Is anyone else having or had a transfer this week? I need people to talk to during the TWW! x

@Ivfgottahope not at all! I've just been around the IVF block a few times. At this point you'd be better off counting in pregnancy weeks rather than post transfer. So if you had a 5 day transfer, count back 5 days and that is your "ovulation date" when you were technically 2 weeks pregnant. You can count forward in weeks from there - that is how I do it but some would do it slightly differently but it's accurate + or - 1 day xxx

@Ivfgottahope I think mine are slightly higher than normal, but that doesn't make it abnormal.. what's important is I have a good doubling rate of 36 hours.

@Janefx40 Monday at 6+1. So excited. I'm hoping All will be well and I can hear the heart beat and possibly start relaxing.

@MaggieMae21 congratulations!!!! Sorry I missed this. This is amazing news. Yes it's a shame he can't attend but partners can attend most private scans so if you can afford it, you could book one of those and go to one together a few days later.

Convinced myself it will be negative when I test tomorrow 😢 Had period type pains yesterday evening and then all night long. Feel like I’ve hardly slept from the worry. Still have them now. If I didn’t have to go to work today I’d have tested this morning, all this thinking about it is driving me crazy! Have. A meeting with my boss today and just couldn’t risk it. Oh well. Another 24 hrs to go.

Hi @Goldilocks2528 period type cramps are totally normal and I've had them with both of my pregnancies. It's disconcerting but doesn't mean you are out. It's so hard not to go nuts as you get nearer to test day isn't it? I honestly feel like I'm on the verge of insanity right now. Hope the meeting with your boss goes ok.

I tested this morning and it was negative. I'm only 8dp2dt so it is early but I know plenty of others who got positives at this point. I'm going to try and force myself not to test tomorrow morning but will see whether I can manage to wait!!!

Hey @Goldilocks2528 I'm expecting a negative tomorrow too :( I was doing pretty well and feeling fine until last night, but then I had a little bit of bleeding and this morning I started spotting like I do before my period. So hard to think straight and not lose it completely!

@Janefx40 stay positive, it's still very early!

Hi @beachbum85, I have everything crossed for you tomorrow. I have read that spotting isn’t necessary something to worry about, so I hope that’s the case for you x

@beachbum85 I agree that spotting isn't something to worry about although I know how much I freaked out when it happened to me during my FET! Best of luck for tomorrow - hopefully you will get a nice surprise

@Janefx40 I hope you’re ok too, everybody is different and I guess we’re told to wait for a reason before testing. Hopefully it’s a false negative - there’s still lots of time 😘

Has anyone found that the cyclogest pessaries give them issues? I’ve been taking them twice a day now for ages. Today my spotting had gone from brown to a pinky brown (not red or clots) so I wonder if they’re causing irritation. Hope that’s all it is anyway! There’s always something 🙄

@Ivfgottahope I always use cyclogest rectally and rarely have problems although you do need to be aware of when you may need a number 2 and to go beforehand!

Can you tell from the speed of this reply that I have now gone 2WW crazy and am checking Mumsnet every 2 minutes as an outlet for my obsession!

@Goldilocks2528 in previous cycles my cramps have freaked me out but now I am freaking out because I have none!!!

I’ve found they make me bloated and give me trapped wind 😐 I have read that it can cause cause irritation if going via the front door. I use the back and Havant had that luckily! Maybe switch and see?

@Janefx40 It’s such a confusing time. I know saying try not to worry is pointless but maybe it’s just that your body is reacting a little differently this time x

Exactly, emotions & anxieties are constantly heightened during this process. I’ve just bought a truck load of HPTs so I can now obsess over the lineage whether it’s getting more faint until my scan 😂

I’m with you ladies!!!!! Total emotional nightmare/dream/craziness all rolled into one.

I've actually never tested this early before (except when trying naturally but always BFN) but logically I can't see how I would get a stark negative at what is effectively 10dpo if it was going to be positive. My first IVF round was a chemical but I didn't test at all just waited until the blood test on the OTD. My second I tested at 15dpo. My FET I tested at 14dpo and got a faint positive.

I've actually never had a total negative from a treatment cycle and always had cramps. TMI I keep getting a twinge and then getting excited and then ahem letting off some wind and realising that's all it was

Like I said I have now totally lost it

What date are your scans @Ivfgottahope and @MaggieMae21 ?

Have you conceived before @Janefx40? I’ve totally lose it too - I have never been so negative and obsessive over anything in my life like this. I’ve always been quite a pragmatic person - not anymore! My scan is on the 22nd. Going to be a hell of a long two weeks. I’m already debating on booking in for another hcg test before then!

@Ivfgottahope yes I have a 2 year old DD from my second fresh IVF cycle. I also had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last August so I've been pregnant twice before, once successfully. Having a child has made this easier but I remember very clearly what it was like going through IVF to conceive my DD so I do understand what it is like for those of you on your first go.

You could book a scan before then if you wanted. I've generally had scans from 6 weeks but there is always a risk of not seeing a heartbeat at that stage because it's too early and then panicking.
