Hi Millie029
Thanks for the reply. Oh I've tried Gonal f about 5 years ago. We fell pregnant but sadly miscarried at 6 weeks 😢 the safer option for less overstimulation sounds like the rekovelle it's tailerd to your body so your hormones and bmi. I just feel so pressured, what if we make the ring decision and it doesn't work 😕 they wouldn't risk it with me last time as I had alot of follicles so kept me in a low dose and only 1 follicles grew to 16mm, we needed at least 3 to go for ivf so ended up stopping ivf and having iui which didn't work. I just really don't know what to do. How is your treatment going wishing you lots of luck on your journey xxx

Hi ladies

Hope you are all doing well.

So I think I may have to cancel my cycle sadly....I think little one has chicken pox! I'm waiting on call back from dr but I'm not sure I've had it. My mum said I had a mild case at 6months when she was breastfeeding when my sister who was 6yrs old got it bad.

But then I might be immune ? I assume my clinic won't let me start and probably sensible I don't? What do you think?

I'm due on Wednesday and I'm all ready !! 😡

strawberrysummer19 · 11/04/2021 08:54

For reference she has 15 spots in all random places, doesn't appear ill and we think the spots appeared Wednesday- she had been at her nans and I only noticed them when I collected her yesterday! They are all under her clothes so her nans didn't see and when she showers she was just behind the glass ( she's started developing so we tend to give her privacy )

X

@strawberrysummer19 Oh no, so sorry to hear that. I'm not sure what they'll do but it might make sense to hold off as disappointing as it'll be. Hope the little one is OK.

strawberrysummer19 · 11/04/2021 09:12

Hmm I'm not sure either, obviously she is the priority but I guess it's not worth risking

I'll have to see what they say x

DoctorBambino · 11/04/2021 09:35

@strawberrysummer19 sorry to hear this, can they check if you are immune through a blood test I wonder?

I still haven't ovulated this month, now cd 20. I always ovulate cd14 🙄 guess that means my period will be late too?

strawberrysummer19 · 11/04/2021 09:38

@DoctorBambino I thought this, I found out you can get a blood test so I've suggested it in my email! I know I sound desperate I just hate the thought of waiting another month! But obviously I'll do what's safe.

Oh no! How annoying! I ovulated slightly late this month but only 3 days but still it's annoying when you are normally regular!! X

Millie029 · 11/04/2021 09:42

Oh @strawberrysummer19 I'm sorry to hear about the potential chicken pox and what it might mean for your cycle.
Glad to hear that she's not feeling unwell with it.

Mirroring @Kamiros response,
.. they may be cautious in case you caught the pox, or developed shingles from exposure. I'd imagine they'd want to ensure you're completely well for treatment. Hopefully you'll hear more soon x

Fuzzybump · 11/04/2021 10:52

@Babyvibes I am on rekovelle, day 8 of stims today and scan tomorrow. I am worried about ohss 2 cause I tried the other drugs last time and didn't have a good experience. Rekovelle doses are auto calculated so hopefully u will be OK x

@strawberrysummer19 sorry about the Pox, Hope your little one is ok. If you had your pox vaccine they may still allow x

strawberrysummer19 · 11/04/2021 10:54

@Fuzzybump didn't even know there was a pox vaccine x

@Babyvibes
I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage ❤
The rekovelle being tailored to your body sounds good. I can't imagine it being an easy decision after everthing that you've been through, but all you can do is make an informed decision at the time.
It's going ok thank you. We had the go ahead for egg retrieval on friday. So had the last fyremadel injection yesterday morning, then the trigger injection of buserelin last night, gearing up for retrieval tomorrow.. trying to fight the nerves. Started progesterone pessaries last night too.. not a fan but will get used to them i guess!

@swirls3468 how are you doing after your retrieval?

X

Very exciting you've got egg collection tomorrow. Good luck with it.
I had my egg collection weds and meant to have transfer tomorrow.
I felt pretty much back to normal on Thursday and Friday day. Friday evening / all day yesterday I went really bloated and uncomfortable and also my stomach is very tender. I don't know if it's the progesterone pessaries? I feel bad again today just so sore my stomach it's like it's stretched! I'll attach a photo.
I'm worried I'm developing ohss. I want to go out on a walk to see if it will help but have no energy.
Doesn't help I was up all night Friday with a close family friend as she's end stage cancer. Anyway things escalated and my poor mums friend passed away early hours of the morning. So so sad. So naturally I've been stressed and upset. What a week! Xxx

@Kamiros
Thank you 😊 Excited for you too with transfer day!
I'm glad you felt ok afterwards.
Oh your poor stomach.. I'm not surprised you're feeling uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the progesterone could cause swelling? Do you have any other symptoms that could be pointing to ohss?

So really sorry to hear about your mums friend ❤ sending a huge hug! Be extra kind to yourself.. Eat/drink/rest, whatever you feel you and your body needs x

Oops sorry @Kamiros, that message was reply to @swirls3468 😊

swirls3468 · 11/04/2021 16:51

@Millie029 Thank you 💓💓💓
Not sure about the ohss. I think I might have it mildly . Just don't want anything to delay the transfer. The blood tests they did on Friday were all fine so that's reassuring xxx

Fuzzybump · 11/04/2021 18:31

@strawberrysummer19 i think you can get it at boots, but probably best seeing what your clinic says, hope it goes ok for you x

@swirls3468 so sorry for your loss, wishing you and @Millie029 massive luck and baby dust for your egg transfers xx

strawberrysummer19 · 11/04/2021 18:37

@Fuzzybump ah thank you I'll check after I've spoken to my clinic - hopefully tomorrow x

Thanks everyone for your replies. @swirls3468 I'm so sorry for your loss and to hear your nit feeling the best. I remember on gonal f my stomach felt very bloated. Just try to relaxe which I know will be hard under your circumstances.
@Fuzzybump
I'm just feeling very stuck right now. Not knowing what the best decision is to make. Do you have any more info on the rekovelle as I'm struggling to find much out abiut it? Have you had a scan to see how your follicles growth is doing? Xxx

Fuzzybump · 11/04/2021 22:19

I think its a fairly new drug as I couldn't find much but the results are supposed to be very good. Its very easy to administer comes in a pen style and the needle on this one is small 2.Side affects are limited and because its short protocol should limit ohss hopefully, I feel OK on it at the moment if that helps, but tired and bloated today but not much, have my scan tomorrow to check how follicles are doing and should find out if I am ready for egg collection tomorrow also. I will let you know how it goes.

This is my 3rd time, 1st and 2nd were on different drugs 1st one got cancelled due to ohss, 2nd had reduced drugs only got me 1 egg which didn't make the process, doc advised this drug is really good but time will tell!

Babyvibes · 11/04/2021 22:35

@Fuzzybump thank you so much. You've helped alot with that. We were swaying a little more to rekovelle as we are worried about ohss with the menapure. So I think we will take the chance on this new one. They are obviously offering it to us now for a reason. I also couldn't find much info on it but it helps alot to be able to speak to people like yourself that are using it.
Best of luck for tomorrow, please let me know how you get on. I have everything crossed for you 🤞❤

Hi everyone

First time on a forum. I had my frozen egg transfer on Thursday and I already can feel it hasn't worked 😞.

This is my 4th cycle and boy does it take it out of you physically but even more mentally. 1st round fell pregnant, but had a silent miscarriage at 7 weeks, 2nd didn't work and 3rd the egg didn't survive the thawing process, so feel like I have been every statistic going so far. My husband is saying be positive (I am not due to do a pregnancy test until 17th April) but I think when you know you know.

All my cycles have been on nhs, first round free, but then I have paid privately on nhs as they have been amazing. I just wondered peoples views on paying privately to the nhs?

Hey! Sorry that you are feeling this way. But Thursday really wasn't that long ago. Symptoms can take a while to show up! Look after yourself xxx
Flo1984 · 12/04/2021 01:22

@swirls3468 thanks for replying 😊. I have had period like pains for the past 3 days and when I am due on I also get the cramping down my thighs which I am also getting. I know I am being a bit of a Debbie downer but just not getting any positive vibes from this one at all x

Kamiros · 12/04/2021 07:38

@Millie029 and @swirls3468 lots of luck with EC /transfer today. Thinking of you.

I have another scan at 11- fingers crossed those follicles have grown.

Good luck with your scan!

And thank you , transfer is at 12.15. I've just rang them for an update but their gonna call me back. I'd rather know what I'm dealing with before I go in. Feel so nervous xxxxx
