FET March/April

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

@elsaesmeralda honestly! It was a twitching eye! It’s been non stop! I’ve been very hot at work; then I was freezing last night. I recently had to buy work trousers that were a size up just to bloating like a whale, yesterday they were almost falling off... today, almost couldn’t get them past my thighs. When I got home, my boobs were massive and veiny. I just got to a point where I was accepting of whatever the outcome and couldn’t hold off. So I peed, got some in a glass, stewed on it for 20 mins and then dipped an FRER. It’s a faint line, but very much there and pink!

@BambiOnIce80 do you think?! I wish I could get it tested, but my clinic doesn’t do beta’s, just HPT and then viability scan. I wonder whether my GP would be happy to order some? 🙈 thank you though! I’m praying for line progression!!

@BambiOnIce80 yeah managed a bit! Went for a little walk, watched a lot of line of duty to try get caught up and into it!
Feels weird it's been a whole day since already! Fingers crossed the time goes quick!

@BambiOnIce80 knicker watch is thankfully uneventful, I'm still very aware it could start again though so I'm paranoid!
It's so so tempting but I'm also terrified of a negative result, my partner doesn't want me to test early and I'm not going too. I am going to stick to the otd and at least that way I can be certain. It's Gona be one long week 😩😩

@elsaesmeralda @BambiOnIce80 I am tempted to send an e-consult to the GP and say I had a positive test, see whether they’re happy for me to go forward with the beta to check. I had a raised liver marker (ALT) after my egg collection, so I had a repeat and then didn’t hear anything. So I could ask if that was all clear and check that they don’t need any further bloods? They may well run a hCG beta then too! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is it worth the ask? 🙈

@PT8998 would your clinic do the beta bloods if you paid for them? That said, if it's only out of curiosity I guess it's not worth the expense 💸

That's what I did during my TWW @willithappen - made the most of the nice weather and went for walks, then binge watched comedies or anything else that could hold my attention.

@BambiOnIce80 it's fear more than anything !! When the day comes I know it's got to be done and that it'll be final. I'm telling myself if it hasn't worked we can keep going, we have 8 in the freezer luckily, although I don't want to have a possible 8 more fets as that's just loads and will really take it out of me. 7dpt today.

@BambiOnIce80 it's my birthday soon, too! It's increasingly likely my transfer will actually be on my birthday. I've never had a pregnancy and I guess until it happens (if it does) I still have no idea whether it's possible for me. But I obviously have hope since I've spent £14k on it so far :( You've done really well and you have a sticky one there so you're past a massive hurdle!

@willithappen ah, that's good to hear you had one scan, thanks! I'm not on progynova or anything at all currently. Feels weird that I'll go from no meds to a transfer! Well, except for the lovely pessaries...

@elsaesmeralda Natural FET was the clinic's call. I wasn't expecting a freeze-all (on the day they got more eggs than expected) so we didn't have the conversation in advance. When I came round after EC & the consultant told me, she said a natural FET was the clinic default and as I have regular periods there was no reason to medicate. I didn't think to challenge it to be honest! Although I've often wished my clinic were more thorough in explaining things, my treatment so far has been pretty smooth so I didn't have any grounds to think natural wouldn't work for me. My lining was fine in fresh cycles so keeping fingers crossed it will be for this...

I'm with you on the early testing, by the way! I held out until OTD after my first cycle. I thought if I tested early I'd not trust the result anyway, so decided I'd go for the 'one and done' approach. I was so nervous on test day and was gutted to get a BFN but I honestly think if I'd tested early I would've been even more on edge waiting for OTD for a definitive answer.

I’ve got bleeding and cramping this morning. Trying to hold it together as I’m on a very long train journey home but it’s not easy! Can’t believe I haven’t even made it to a week after transfer!

@lucymills1234 well if you can get away with no meds on this then that's an added bonus if you ask me! They're not very nice, I found the buserelin the worst of them really. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 I struggled to get my lining up, cycle was cancelled last time as I didn't get above 7mm.

I've actually just found a couple of cheap tests under the sink 😳 but I stopped myself ! I reasoned to myself that they aren't sensitive enough anyways and all it will do is cause me upset!

@louloulemons sorry you're worrying ! Is the bleeding just spotting ? It might be nothing. I was freaking out the other day when I saw blood but it stopped as quickly as it started

It was pink and a tiny bit of red but just checked again now I’ve got to the station and it’s gone lighter. I had my transfer Friday so it just seems quite soon but I have no idea how it was all working this cycle. My transfer ended up on CD28 which is usually when I would have AF so I’ve got no idea when it’s actually due. I don’t think the cramping can be a good sign. It felt very much like AF cramps but gone off now. Just phoned DH and had a cry down the phone, I can’t wait to get home! God I hate this, it’s like torture!!

You're a day behind me then! So you're the equivalent of 11dpo today. My spotting happened on what would have been 8 and 9 dpo. I also had slight cramping with it but it's completely cleared up now ! You never know it could be implantation. Try not to think the worst I know it's scary seeing blood though so I feel for you! Have you had a medicated fet? I also had my transfer on cycle day 28. My clinic told me my natural cycle is completely out the window now, they've totally took over it with the meds so I guess once we stop the meds that's when we will have a bleed.

Yes I did a fully medicated cycle because they suspect I have mild PCOS and didn’t want to risk me not ovulating in a natural cycle. So taking progynova and cyclogest at the moment. Thank you, you have helped me calm down!

@louloulemons I was you 3 days ago so I really sympathise it's bloody horrible! You'll be home soon so that alone will make you feel abit better won't it.
How have you been feeling other than this ?

I'm bleeding again. No cramps so had a shock when I went to the toilet. Feels like it's bad news to me now it's happened for a second time after stopping for a few days

@BambiOnIce80 I've just called the clinic in years, felt so silly but really upset now. It's red, not loads but enough for me to panic. They basically said I'm on a high dose of progesterone as it is so there's not much else they can do, it could be nothing or it could be an early miscarriage as it's red blood. I've still got to test next week and not test any earlier. They're going to call me back but don't know what else they can do. I don't have cramps though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thing is I've been so emotional today, crying at nothing and feeling really irritable and now I'm thinking is it pms
