FET March/April

PT8998 · 04/03/2021 19:51

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any dates pencilled in for an FET during March/April? I have been given the dates of 30/03 for baseline scan and transfer the week of 12/04.

It would be great to see if there are many others on similar timelines?!

Hey!
Have a provisional date for FET on 17th April depending on AF arriving.
Been just over a week since egg collection and have 4 in the freezer

PT8998 · 04/03/2021 21:48

I also have 4 in the freezer! I had egg collection mid Jan, but needed to wait a little while to start FET cycle. I am due to have norethisterone prescribed to be able to have a bleed ready for starting buserelin to down reg.

I’m excited to finally be getting that ball rolling again!

Hi ladies.

I have 3 in the freezer (as I’ve just completed a freeze all cycle) and now awaiting genetic testing results on them. Hope to get results next week.

It’s highly likely I will need to do another cycle. I’ve read lots of past threads where ladies my age (39) don’t get any back that are normal and have to do a few more cycles to get there.

Did any of you ladies have testing?

PT8998 · 07/03/2021 22:58

@RichmondLady1981 hey! I didn’t have testing, mine went straight to the freezer after the hit day 5 and 6, and the plan is to thaw and transfer.

Are you having all three tested?

OP posts:
RichmondLady1981 · 08/03/2021 07:13

Morning PT8998

Yes we are having all three tested. The plan is to keep doing cycles until we have a normal. Praying one in this round.

Hope to get results this week but could take longer. X

willithappen · 08/03/2021 09:59

@RichmondLady1981 I have everything crossed for you that you get some good ones that come back :)

elsaesmeralda · 08/03/2021 10:32

Hi!

Currently down regulating for my fet - the last one was cancelled due to my lining not responding so keeping fingers crossed this time it plays ball!
I have 9 in the feeezer from my first ivf round just before Xmas

louloulemons · 08/03/2021 11:56

Hi! I am down regging at the moment. Now on day 18 of Buserelin, feels like it’s going on forever! Baseline scan this week finally!!! We had a fresh round in September that ended in miscarriage sadly so putting lots of hope in our little frosties

OhPeanuts · 09/03/2021 09:08

Hi 😊. I have had a month down reg and just started FET meds last week. This is my first ever transfer so feeling quite lost.

I have had zero side effects from the estrogen meds so I have an irrational fear that nothing is happening and my lining is not doing a thing! I have a scan this week so feeling nervous they’re going to say I am not responding. Someone did say to me in a natural cycle it takes a couple of weeks for the lining to build after a period which is very true so I am trying to not expect too much after just a few days of meds.

Wishing us all luck 🤞

BambiOnIce80 · 09/03/2021 12:26

Hi ladies, room for one more? 🙂 I had the down reg jab (prostap) on Friday, so hoping for a transfer at the beginning-ish of April. Pretty fed up of the insomnia and random chills that I'm getting already! We've also got 4 frosties to be going at and this is our second FET. Fresh cycle resulted in a MMC at 11 weeks and our first FET in October last year was a CP, so holding our breath to find out what happens this time! 🔮🙈

Looking forward to getting to share this journey with you all 😊 I've been on threads for those past 2 cycles and I honestly don't know how I would have coped without the amazing ladies on them ❤️ Talking of, I'm going to tag @BeHereNowx32 who might want to join too 😉

@RichmondLady1981 my embies are made from my 39 year old eggs too and we discussed testing them before the FET (I never, ever wanted to go through a MMC again 😔). We had a long discussion with our doc and decided to leave it... for now. Keeping everything crossed for good results for you 🤞🏻🍀

BeHereNowx32 · 09/03/2021 12:44

@BambiOnIce80 hello! Would be lovely to have your company on a thread! Sorry to hear you’re having some rough symptoms from the prostap. They can be so bad. Hopefully the oestrogen tablets even it all out.

I am booked to have my prostap jag on the 22nd of March. I will try my hardest to keep up with this thread. I’m not always great at it.

PT8998 · 09/03/2021 21:24

@RichmondLady1981 any updates on your testing yet? I hope you aren't waiting too long for a result if you've not yet had any answers!

@elsaesmeralda and @OhPeanuts this is my first transfer too!

@louloulemons @BambiOnIce80 I am sorry for both of your losses! I really hope that this round gives you success!

I went to the clinic this am to have a lining scan to have the Norethisterone prescribed. I got the all clear to proceed! I am due to stat Norethisterone on Thursday, with the aim to bleed before the end of the month and have my baseline scan on 29th March (changes from the 30th as initially pencilled). I am so excited to be getting the ball rolling again!

OP posts:
RichmondLady1981 · 09/03/2021 22:27

@PT8998 thank you ... I’m still waiting for the results. They said it could take two weeks. It’s only been a week so far but it’s feels like a year. Have been on the Feb/March thread for stims and EC and the nerves of the embryo updates. Feels like quite a journey already. It’s so lovely to see so many of them starting to get their BFPs. It was my first ever cycle (freeze all) and nice to have the support.

So great that the ball is rolling for you now and you’ve got dates in the diary!

PT8998 · 09/03/2021 22:49

@RichmondLady1981 ah man, that’s rubbish! I understand your frustrations! Nothing worse than waiting for, what feels like an age! I hope time flies for you!

I was on that thread initially too, but then lost track as I became very detached from the whole process as soon as I found out that I was having a freeze all! I then also only recently realised it went on to a new post! I wondered why it went quiet in my inbox so I then forgot to check!

OP posts:
RichmondLady1981 · 10/03/2021 07:14

@PT8998 ahhh yes there’s a Feb/March continued thread now. 4 ladies so far have BFPs! 😁.

Thank you - who knows today could be the day i get the call. At least I’m at work so i have a distraction.

Have a great day.

OhPeanuts · 10/03/2021 11:59

@BambiOnIce80 @BeHereNowx32 I had prostap as well. How did you find it bambi? I was exhausted for a month!

@PT8998 seems a few of us are having our first transfer on here so it is nice to be able to chat with you all! How do you get on with norethisterone (if you’ve had it before)? I had a horrendous time on it but I know most people are fine so fingers crossed you’ll be feeling great 🤞

I had my scan today and apparently my lining has thickened up nicely despite having no side effects from the meds so looking like I can have my transfer next week! Feels very surreal at this point and I almost feel numb to it like I am bracing for another obstacle... I just hope they defrost ok now and nothing else gets in the way 🤞

@RichmondLady1981 4 BFPs in the other thread, amazing! Hope you get your call soon. The waiting is the hardest part of all of this

elsaesmeralda · 10/03/2021 12:29

Hi ladies ! Hope everyone is doing okay? I've started my period today on day 7 of buserelin so bang on 28 days since my last one, I was expecting it to play up but it's here, although I've got horrendous period pains along with it 😥

RichmondLady1981 · 10/03/2021 16:22

@OhPeanuts thank you so much. Another day gone and no news. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So pleased you’re responding so well to the drugs with no side affects. Lucky!!

BambiOnIce80 · 10/03/2021 16:34

Thanks for the welcome ladies 😊

@OhPeanuts I had a student nurse administer mine (everyone has to learn and all that 😏) and it was a lot stingier than last time - I've quite an impressive bruise too. Struggling to get to sleep and poor sleep quality are my biggest side effects. I'm a really good sleeper normally, so getting very grumpy from the lack of it! Excellent news on your lining! 🥳 Very exciting that you'll be transferring next week 🍀🍀🍀

That's good news that your period has turned up bang on time @elsaesmeralda 🙂 I think mine was a couple days late the last time I had the prostap jab and (TMI 😳) when it started it was exactly like the lift lobby scene out of The Shining!! 🌊 😳🌊😳 It was a horrible shock, but at least it won't take me by surprise this time, I guess!

Very exciting times for you too @PT8998! 🤩 Tomorrow will literally be here before you know it! 😄

PT8998 · 11/03/2021 09:33

@RichmondLady1981 - oh wow! I didn’t even realise that there was a second thread! Amazing news! Everytime I hear a positive outcome, it gives me that little bit more hope that I could be one of those who are a success story.

Fingers crossed you are another day closer to that phone call!

@OhPeanuts - I have had Norethisterone more times than I can count. I have PCOS and don’t ovulate so never have periods! I need it freuqently to induce a bleed. I can’t say that I have ever had any problems on it, or nothing that was glaringly obvious! I have seen others say that it has been horrific for them though, so you are not alone! Yes - plenty of us on here to provide moral support along the way. I have to say that online forums/communities have become such a pillar of support for me as I haven’t told my family about the treatment. So this is my place to go through every emotion under the sun!
Great news about your lining - how exciting that you will be officially PUPO as soon as next week!!!

@elsaesmeralda - oh no! Sorry that you’re in pain! How long do your periods normally last? I hope that the worst of it is over for you shortly.

Small update on where I am at; I am currently on annual leave waiting for my delivery today of meds for the cycle (already have some here) so the Norethisterone will hopefully be here soon. I will be then starting that today (last day will be the 23rd March). I will then wait for a period, then start the buserelin on CD2. So I will be having something to do every day, which is nice! It helps me feel like I am ticking something off the list taking me closer to the transfer day!

OP posts:
PT8998 · 11/03/2021 09:35

@BambiOnIce80 it is already that day - I am excited to be officially "starting" my round!

Door bell just went - meds have arrived!!

OP posts:
louloulemons · 11/03/2021 09:57

It always amazes me how all the different clinics have such different drugs and processes! I’ve never heard of some of the drugs you’ve all been mentioning! Do some of you have just one injection instead of one every day?

BambiOnIce80 · 11/03/2021 10:58

My clinic gives just the one injection of prostap (buserelin) @louloulemons to take care of down regulation. No more injections after that, but lots and lots of progynova (oestrogen) tablets after that/from day 3 of AF 💊 It does feel a bit mental with how many different protocols are out there! 🤯

Very glad to hear you can start ticking off your doses @PT8998 ✔️👍🏻 The clinic have given me a tick sheet for when I start the progynova to keep me right. Hopefully I'll be starting it next week if AF shows up at the weekend like she should 🔮 🤞🏻 I'm definitely feeling very 'periody' today, so I'm really hoping that she doesn't end up going awol and pushing back the schedule 🤦🏻‍♀️

PT8998 · 11/03/2021 11:01

@BambiOnIce80 indeed! It is a great feeling! Hopefully you will start that period ASAP! There is nothing worse than waiting for one normally, let alone waiting for one when you know that it needs to happen to start the next bit of treatment!

Fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
PT8998 · 11/03/2021 11:06

@louloulemons I haven't even heard of prostap! I am taking Mbuserelin from CD2 until I am told to stop (I have baseline scan on the 29th March) so hopefully not long after that.
I will also be using progynova (but won't be given this until after my baseline scan)
