@IVFat43 I can't remember if I already said I had a scratch twice..1 successful round I'll failed. I didn't have one for another failed cycle. So without knows. The failed round was a good quality pgs normal embryo.

@cher1981, I asked my embryologist and nurse after transfer and both said bath is total fine but it can't be too hot or too long. "Embryos don't like it too warm" she said. Also asked re hot water bottle as I struggle with digestion thanks to progesterone and they said no to that on the tummy but ok on the back.
Advice seems to differ clinic to clinic from what I can tell, which is a bit weird!

cher1981 · 02/02/2021 20:47

@jonrik ooh that’s helpful thank you. I might treat myself to a tepid bath tomorrow 😂

somethingfunny · 02/02/2021 22:14

@cher1981 my clinic advised not to have a bath or go swimming until test day, but I don't know the reasoning (temperature or something to do with being under water)

Whitestripes007 · 03/02/2021 09:19

@Gardenlady543Best of luck for your transfer this afternoon

kikisparks · 03/02/2021 10:28

Really worried today as DH has a sore throat and headache and I have muscle aches, don’t think it’s covid as those aren’t symptoms (and fairly sure we already had covid before tests were available) but really don’t want to come down with something before transfer 😢 we’ve been very much abiding by the rules and both WFH but have obviously had to do food shopping and DH had to go to the doctors to be tested for a possible UTI last week.

DH also got ill with cold symptoms before my last transfer, although I was fine that time, such bad timing!

Really hope it comes to nothing and that I feel fine by transfer day 🤞

Lola98 · 03/02/2021 10:48

@Birdladybird @unknownscot I am so sorry, I had a BFN for 2nd attempt. Take care of yourself x

Whitestripes007 · 03/02/2021 10:50

@kikisparks Fingers crossed it is something mild and passes quickly for you both.

I’ve just had my Day 6 stims scan. They could only find 2 follicles (which I expected as my AMH is 2) however, one is 18mm and the other 11mm so I’m waiting for the Doctor to decide whether to cancel or continue. Not really sure whether to feel pleased there’s at least one decent sized one or disappointed!

Lola98 · 03/02/2021 11:05

@hopefully21 that’s fab news! So happy for you 😊 I got feedback from clinic, they said they think it’s my age and maybe better with donated eggs. Not sure about that yet. They also said I have adenomyosis showing but apparently there is little evidence with regards to fertility.

Motherofkittens28 · 03/02/2021 12:00

Morning all, I have got a lump come up where I dud my buserelin injection this morning, has anyone else ever had something like this?

MF1981 · 03/02/2021 12:19

@Motherofkittens28 yes I had that a few times - like a little raised burn or insect bite or nettle sting

Gardenlady543 · 03/02/2021 12:32

Thanks for the good luck vibes, my consultant just called me on her day off to tell me the progesterone result, she said it’s 46.6, she said its debatable what level is acceptable as some specialists accept 30 and 40 but she goes with 50 so advised that I increase up from 1xlubion in the morning and 1xcyclogest at night to 1xlubion and 2xcyclogest. This blood test was taken first thing before my lubion dose so that suggests my night time regime isn’t high enough.

I’m using the cyclogest anally, can I put 2 in at the same time at night? My other option is to put one in at lunchtime.

esfran85 · 03/02/2021 13:09

hey ladies, my hcg has dropped so now it's a negative confirmed. I felt a bit sad at first but now I am relieved that at least I know... my ivf cicle gave me 2 b grade blastocysts - one is the one that failed and one frozen. We will give it a try next month again.

Gardenlady543 · 03/02/2021 13:44

Really sorry @esfran85 sending hugs Flowers

Gensola · 03/02/2021 14:16

Really sorry to hear this @esfran85 Cake Flowers

I have my transfer tomorrow and feeling nervous. Not sure how the 2WW will be endured!! Also worried my embryo won’t survive the thaw. Does the worry never end?!

@MF1981 how are you doing? Did you find the transfer painful? I’m a bit worried about that too as EC was horrendous and I was so sick after it for days.

kikisparks · 03/02/2021 14:24

So sorry @esfran85 Flowers

Motherofkittens28 · 03/02/2021 14:28

So sorry @esfran85, fingers crossed for the frozen one!
Thanks @mf1981, glad it's not just me!

IVFat43 · 03/02/2021 14:31

@Whitestripes007 sounds like we’re on a similar journey together. I’ve had my scan 2 today, day 7 stims. Although you have 2 you may be ok, I’d look on the positive side, you still have time yet for them to grow.

I’ve had a really positive scan; 31 follicles but that includes all the small ones, so currently 5 large, 3 medium that could push through.. my lining is 9.6 which indicates that should be ok when it comes to transfer, but as I suffer with PCOS I am apprehensive regards the quality..
Scan 3 is Friday and EC booked for Monday..

I’ve decided along with PGT to opt for both scratch and glue.. anything to help ey🤞

indub · 03/02/2021 14:32

@Tarsette such great news on your lining. Where there's fat endometrium there's hope. Fingers crossed you get a sticky embryo Grin

Tarsette · 03/02/2021 14:39

@esfran85 so sorry about your news. Take the time to digest it, it’s important to do that before you move on.

@cher1981 I was told no baths because of the heat and no swimming because of the risk for infection!

@Gensola no the worrying never stops unfortunately! Even if we egg pregnant, we will spend the first 3 months worrying about miscarriage, etc. Now that I have my lining sorted, I have moved on to worrying about my embryos’ grading and whether they will survive the thaw! Don’t worry about the transfer being painful, it is a much smaller procedure than EC. It only lasts a few minutes and not painful at all.

@Gardenlady543 Hope your transfer went well!

Tarsette · 03/02/2021 14:41

@indub thanks! Yes I’m really happy I get to at least transfer, it would have been my third cancelled cycle otherwise!

indub · 03/02/2021 14:44

@cher1981 I was told 48 hours on water immersion as they've instrumented the cervical canal; no overheating any which way until established preg or fail. Hot baths, sauna, vigorous exercise all raise the core temp. Tepid bath all good Smile
