@kikisparks thank you for that info. 😊 yes I’ll definitely test again with FMU! I think I’ll wait until Saturday now.

foodiefil · 09/02/2021 16:53

Congrats @thirteen92 let us know what tomorrow's says 💞

jonrik · 09/02/2021 17:10

Aww massive congratulations on your BFP @thirteen92, that is wonderful news!

Gensola · 09/02/2021 17:14

@thirteen92 congratulations!!

@kikisparks I have ordered some tests which will arrive on 11th, which will be 7dp5dt, so think I’ll do one with FMU a on 12th, which is 8 days but just bear in mind may be negative or indeed chemical. I’d rather know either way.
Currently driving myself mad reading ancient forums going back to 2004 on FET 😂

It doesn’t help that for past 3 days I have woken up at 5am wide awake so it makes the days way longer to wait through.

kikisparks · 09/02/2021 17:20

@Gensola sounds like a plan, you’ll be testing on my transfer day Smile very best of luck!

kikisparks · 09/02/2021 17:20

@Gensola meant to say I was exactly the same in my last TWW, couldn’t sleep and kept waking up early!

MF1981 · 09/02/2021 18:35

Guys I’m freaking out. It’s test day tomorrow and I’m actually terrified of taking the test. My cat is poorly as well and that along with test day tomorrow is making me feel so anxious. I’m feeling really sick and am sure I have some cramps too.

foodiefil · 09/02/2021 18:40

@MF1981 is that your OTD?

It's normal to feel anxious. And obviously you have a poorly pet on top of this.

Try and rest tonight and switch off from things.

It will be ok 💞

MF1981 · 09/02/2021 18:44

@foodiefil yes tomorrow is otd

foodiefil · 09/02/2021 18:49

@MF1981 I can totally understand why you feel anxious about it. I know I will too.

Will you be with someone? Fingers crossed for you x

MF1981 · 09/02/2021 18:50

Yeah my partner is here and we’ve both got the day off work tomorrow and Thursday

foodiefil · 09/02/2021 18:54

Good luck, we'll all be thinking of you.
I'm wondering if it would help if you peed in a pot and your partner took over the remainder while you put the kettle on for you both? Eek I dunno. Do whatever you need to to relax tonight xxx @MF1981

kikisparks · 09/02/2021 20:41

@MF1981 sorry about your cat. I think it’s normal to be really anxious about testing, that’s good you’ve got time off work.

jonrik · 09/02/2021 20:47

Good luck @MF1981, you'll be ok. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow and keeping everything crossed! I hope your cat is getting better quickly x

hopeful182 · 09/02/2021 21:39

@MF1981 be thinking of you tomorrow. Good luck. Xx

Question about progesterone:

Can you continue taking it if you get a BFP?

Would that help at all?

I only have two weeks supply and would buy more if I thought it would help.

I haven't had my levels checked.

Sunbird24 · 09/02/2021 22:31

@foodiefil I had the progesterone from ET right through to my first scan. Your clinic should be able to advise, mine sold gave me more after I got my BFP

foodiefil · 09/02/2021 22:45

Thanks @Sunbird24

Someone earlier posted about them being for sale in asda. I'll ask but unless they prescribe them for me to get at a pharmacy I'll buy asda ones. Instead of the pharmacy that gave us all our injection stuff etc

indub · 09/02/2021 23:09

@thirteen92 The trigger can take up to 14 days to clear. Mine was still showing d13 post when I tested out once. But if the strip gets darker with repeat it's solid!

indub · 09/02/2021 23:17

@MF1981 I'm sorry about your cat - what did the vet say? As though you're not all dealing with enough right now. Glad it sounds like your partner can be there for cuddles and looking after you both.

I just returned from my OTD bloods. Urine still positive so hoping for a nice number.

@foodiefil not only is the progesterone safe is recommended in IVF cycles - increases live birth rate. I think I was on it until US too @Sunbird24. I could do without the cramps, bloating and constipation it gives me though Sad

kikisparks · 10/02/2021 06:11

@foodiefil my clinic only give progesterone until OTD on fresh cycles, as the corpus luteum takes over from then- but I think my corpus luteum may be defective as I have a short luteal phase with days of spotting every month. I asked about it a couple of times but they weren’t for giving me more and after my miscarriage my consultant categorically said progesterone wasn’t the reason. I’d still happily have bought some but AFAIK they aren’t available without a prescription. On frozen cycles it’s very different and you need it until 12 weeks.

A number of studies have been done showing there’s no statistically significant advantage of continuing progesterone beyond the positive test:

“Furthermore, in those women where progesterone supplementation was
stopped early, no substantive detrimental effect was observed if progesterone
was stopped on the day of the initial pregnancy test, as compared with after a clinical pregnancy was confirmed.”

No harm in seeing if asda has it or you can get a prescription for it though.

foodiefil · 10/02/2021 08:04

Thanks @indub

Yes @kikisparks this is a fresh cycle.
Ok I understand. I suppose I'm just wondering if it "wouldn't do any harm" sort of thing.

This is a bit disgusting but I just did my morning one and feel instantly like I need to poop but I'm lying down and crossing legs because I don't want to poop it all out. How long after insertion (🥴) can you go to the loo?

Waiting for the clinic to call with how many eggs have fertilised. Excited and nervous

Gensola · 10/02/2021 08:06

@foodiefil my clinic said it would all be absorbed within 15-30 mins and anything left at that stage is just the carrier waxy stuff not the actual progesterone.
I am struggling so much with the 2WW, it’s a real head f**k!! It’s literally all I can think about and my two year review is coming up at work so I need to be on it rather than obsessively googling symptoms at 6dp5dt etc!

foodiefil · 10/02/2021 08:10

@Gensola how are you feeling? It's such a long time to have to wait!
That will be some distraction at least.

MF1981 · 10/02/2021 08:30

Oh my goodness guys - I just had my first ever in my whole life BFP!!!!!!!
