Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

Regarding spotting during TWW, it was common in IVF due to the trauma of EC and ET.

@RichmondLady1981 - the gin and lax worked lovely this morning, however, I was still down the yard when I had movement so it was a tense drive home!! To which I stuck behind cyclists, nothing like thinking you going to shit yourself to get the blood pumping!

@Pansy222 - try peppermint mint, it really helps, also some downwards dog to help with gravity!

Thankyou @Mrbay at this point I don’t think this ohss just trapped wind and constipation.
Hot water and lemon is easing the pain also

I've found that deflatine + fibogel + peppermint tea worked brilliantly for trapped wind / constipation on previous cycles. Wierdly I've not had any problems this time, considering I'm taking co-codamol for a different problem.

Hope it eases up soon for you all!

Also I LOVE the idea of an embryo app, although agree with others that I'd never get anything else done because I'd be on it constantly

Feeling pretty down after EC this morning. Far less eggs retrieved than expected, consultant even came in after to say he was disappointed and my eggs stuck to follicular wall.

So I'll guess we'll just see but not feeling particularly hopefully. Just a bit of a let down given that for age, AMH and everything bring good and having no known fertility issues that it's not gone well.

Hi ladies,
Quick update from me, I got a call this morning for my Day 3 update & there appears to be too much fragmentation on all of them, so its likely I will have none to freeze on Day 5! They did say there is a small chance they can fix themselves between now & then. So their advice was to take the best looking one (average quality in their words) & transfer it today, so Ive just come back from ET. I was given a pregnancy test & will test 2 weeks from today. One of the doctors said because Im quite tall (5’7”) I should take 3 progesterone pessaries a day instead of 2. Im quite disappointed that with 19 eggs collected I will probably have none to freeze but Im just glad Im currently PUPO. Although I planned to have it on Sunday & it was all quite a rush this morning, so much for a relaxing mental state!

There doing my egg collection Monday, currently 10 follicles at 11 and under on left , and the other 10 measuring between 14-24 on right , they will be doing a FET in 6 weeks ... anyone else on this same kinda time scale ?
Love my consultant but when I asked for some feedback she replies “ I don’t like to compare other patients as your all individual” maybe she’s right but not what I wanted to hear 😂

@GingerBrummie sorry to hear none are making it to the freezer but congrats on being PUPO and lots of positive thoughts your way on a sticky!

@Georgia2799 I was told about 6 weeks for FET also and had egg collection on Wednesday. Not sure though. I don't know when to expect my next period but I know I will have a bleed from this, then a natural one and start the FET on natural (providing I get anything good enough to freeze)

@GingerBrummie congrats on being PUPO! Don't give up hope yet, I'm sure one of my frozen embryos was showing some fragmentation on day 3 and it sorted itself out by day 6. So you might be able to freeze some.

@Georgia2799 yes the large ovaries are real! I could feel them when I walked it was so odd.

@Kitttycatt so glad I’m not the only one Never felt anything like it before !! My stomach looks like I’ve been on a all inclusive holiday for a month ++

@GingerBrummie congrats on being PUPO. Sounds like a real rush this morning! Hopefully some of your embryos will sort themselves out over the next few days. Interesting about being tall and having 3 pessaries - I'm 6ft so will ask about that when I next speak to the clinic.

I has EC this morning. First time having any anaesthesia but it was all fine. Felt ok afterwards and now lying on the sofa having an easy day. Fingers crossed for the call in the morning

Thanks all & glad your EC went well @thetallgirl. Im trying to stay positive. The 2ww could actually be the worse bit of all this..

I'm eyeing up my cyclogest with disdain at the moment, I'm not looking forward to first one tonight. My clinic used rectal suppository pain relief for EC which has done funny things so I don't fancy putting anything up either passage right now!

@2mumlife I know exactly what you mean. I’ve alternated both ways as it’s been a struggle with the trapped gas and constipation sorry TMI

Our egg transfer is hopefully tomorrow morning at 8am - getting nervous now. Had my last long hot bath with some meditation 🧘‍♀️

@Georgia2799 I'm also now due for egg collection on Monday. Today I've got 18,17,14,13 and 8 so one more day of stims and then trigger tomorrow. That will be 15 days of stims for me so hopefully its enough!

@Motherofkittens28 please keep me updated on your journey and how your feeling, bless you I’m only on a very short protocol as I’m at high risk of OHSS, can’t imagine how your feeling doing it for two weeks + .. trying to stay positive all be worth it in the end

@Georgia2799 of course and likewise would be great to hear your updates. How many days of stims gave you had? Im on a long protocol so started my downregulation drugs on 30th Jan, feels like I've been injecting forever! Im quite nervous about Monday and just hoping the follicles continue to grow over the weekend and I get maybe 3 mature eggs! How are you feeling?

@2mumlife how was your teaching this week! I had a full on timetable teaching interventions on teams today! A nice distraction from thinking about embryos. Perhaps an Embryapp (like the name? 😁) would be all too much!

@Pansy222 that sounds rough! So sorry. Are you feeling any better now?

@MrTumbleTumble I’m going to try that poo combo tomorrow if I've had no luck. Still no movement and I’m usually a two-a-day kinda gal. Yeah the app isn’t the best plan. Although I should patent the idea. 💰

@GingerBrummie congrats on being PUPO. Don’t lose hope for the others yet! I’ve read so many posts that say they cam catch up from day 3-5! Lots of positive thinking. It’s countdown time for you now! When’s OTD?
