Hi

I’m due to start IVF mid February depending on when my period in January starts.
Had a fresh cycle end of august which sadly ended in a missed miscarriage in October.
I only had that one embryo so will be starting a new fresh cycle.

Would love to chat to any ladies starting then as I found the chats really helpful during my first round.

I haven't really noticed any difference with being on norethisterone. Today's the last day of taken them, so finished up now. Baseline scan on Friday. Kinda freaking about the high possibility of being on my period still while scab happens but I know they see that all the time

@RichmondLady1981 ah yep I’m regularly waking up and telling my husband about my erotic dreams not involving him 😂
Some of the other dreams feel like a film!!

Good luck to those having Down Reg Scan tomorrow, im feeling really excited... Finally fingers crossed we will be starting the next step.

@Blessing12 - it's certainly going to feel like blink and you miss it compared to long protocol.

Called the nurses today at the clinic, as I just wanted to triple check my protocol, I messed my very first cycle up so want to make sure I don't repeat that again!

@RichmondLady1981 - I was nearly a week late the last time I was on buserelin, so don't panic. No spotting, just straight to normal period. Actually might have been slightly lighter than normal.

My last period was a week early and now with this one, I've started to stop nearly a week early so bloody annoying! Got a little worried that this was the start on menopause (low AMH) but she reassured me that I'd be have lots of other symptoms - I'm only 33 so as much as I've wished for my periods to stop, I kinda like to have a baby first!

Its going to fly by, to be honest the last 2 weeks left like a life time but its flown by, and im praying all is good to go tomorrow so I can start stims.
Oh gosh yes always double check if unsure, its easily done tho with the different meds and times etc.

@Melissa1983 we are on very similar timeframes!! I'm in buserilin now (injection number 5 tonight) and having a FET estimated 11th March. How are you feeling in the drugs? Last night was the first night I've felt it. Feeling a bit hot today and just weird in my womb area, like I can tell there's drugs there if that makes sense?

Ok, downreg scan done! Ovaries both as they should be, scan showed a bit of fluid still in uterus. Nurse said it might come out over next few days (I have still be spotting even though my period started 8 days ago) or would likely be reabsorbed, so not concerned about it.

Having regular Buserelin injection tonight then start stims tomorrow

Great news @thetallgirl and @Blessing12 and @RichmondLady1981 good luck for today.
My scan just finished. Lining is 2.7mm so nice & thin! I start stimming tonight! Im on Gonal 300 every night.
@thetallgirl I also had a little bit of fluid but nothing to worry about (I only finished period today). They said I have quite a few follicles so may have to come in to be scanned slightly earlier than Day 9, they will let me know today after their lunch time mtg.

@thetallgirl @richmondLady1981 congratulations 👏 so excited for you both, iv just had my scan, linning is nice and thin, BUT...... I have a tiny cyst on the right ovary, so they have done bloods and they will call me tomorrow with either start stims or another week on buserelin. So just a waiting game till the phone call tomorrow.

@Blessing12 hopefully it will be nothing, but even if it is, a week is worth waiting for while the cyst sorts itself out (but I know that must be frustrating!).

Congrats @GingerBrummie. Ooh, that's probably a good thing having follicles at this stage right? They didn't mention anything to me about follicles.

Hi @thetallgirl the follicles are just laying their quietly! You will have them there too. Apparently you dont want too many (risk of OHSS) but you dont want too few!
Think I will try Gonal in my thigh tonight, my poor belly!

To the ladies that had their scans today, when do you go for your next ones?

@GingerBrummie before today's scan I was given the 17th and 19th for my stims scans. How about you?

Hi @Blessing12 also 17th & 19th! But they called today to say they wanna see me on 15th too.
I am so bloated today, not sure if its the meds or what Ive eaten today!

Thats great @GingerBrummie more scans the better really least you can see the progress of the follicles.

I'm in on the 12th for baseline then 22nd and 24th for my monitoring scans

@willithappen my baseline is the 11th then start stims on the 17th (hopefully if period arrives on time) and then scans the 23rd and 26th so close to the same timeline!

@Alexm06 what kind of protocol are you on? I start stims on the 13th. Terrified

Apologies for jumping on this thread, I didn’t know how to start my own (I mean I couldn’t find the words if that makes sense).

We’re at the very early stages of this. I’ve known since I was 16 that I’d have issues due to previous significant abdominal trauma. We’ve been trying for a year and already started the process of referral. My husband has just texted me to say that he has severe oligospermia. My progesterone tests are inconclusive. We’re both doctors and I know that it’s going to be a long and hard road and DH’s text results have just knocked me for 6. He’s on call so not even back until later and I’m torn up. I’m so sad for him and us (I mean didn’t we already have enough problems with just me?) and furious that he’s told me this in a text and I’m sat at home alone.

I want to be optimistic but I just want to curl up. I have nobody really to talk to about this - very few of my friends have children or are at that stage (we started ‘early’ as I knew I would have problems), I don’t think I’ve ever felt so alone. I don’t want to talk about this over a zoom call either.

I’m so sorry to just blurt this out. I didn’t know where else to go.

First Gonal injection done! Similar to buserelin, no pain & very small needle so Im happy.
Btw - have my counselling session booked on 8th March, will be in my 2ww then (hopefully) but better late than never, especially if its bad news.
Hi @willithappen I think we spoke before. Is this your first time at IVF? Are you also on long protocol? Good luck for the scan :)

@willithappen I’m on a short protocol. On provera till the 13th. Is this your first cycle?
