@Fightingtobepositive thats how i feel, im overthinking everything and thinking to myself theres no way this is going to work. I had planned to spend time with my family during the 2WW to help pass the time, my parents and my sister know what im going through and have been an excellent support. My husband is working a tonne of overtime at the moment so need my mum now more than ever.

@JandL2020 i am not usually a tv person but i think im going to have to give it a bash haha, ive seen the Fall but never heard of Wes, will maybe give that a bash at the weekend. Ive chilled out the last couple of nights since transfer but going to go for a walk tonight, im normally a power walker but will slow it down a bit. Im genuinely worried every time i stand up the embryo is going to come out haha im so ridiculous.

If anyone knows any other good things on Netflix to watch let me know :) x

Fightingtobepositive · 23/09/2020 11:47

Thanks for sharing @JandL2020

@JenniferRo28 My partner is great but I’m seeing that even he is struggling, I feel like he’s getting his hopes up. But my mum doesn’t live in the same area as me (no one else really knows) and we are on local lockdown so just me at the mo. It’s a struggle when the overthinking kicks in!

it’s awful isn’t it. I’ve even had a spot pop up which I always without fail get a week before my period so that’s turned me into an even crazier Nut job.

Dirty John is a great watch, also Sinner. I’ve watched loads lately but can’t think lol.

Rumtopf · 23/09/2020 11:51

@JandL2020 that's fabulous, congratulations! Hope you're feeling a bit better?

JandL2020 · 23/09/2020 11:54

@Rumtopf no I’m not keeping anything down :( waiting for nurse to call me back xx

Rumtopf · 23/09/2020 12:16

@JandL2020 oh no you poor thing! That sounds awful. I hope the nurse is helpful. Would an anti sickness help? Domperidone or something like that? Means you can take paracetamol and keep water and food down.

OfTwelve · 23/09/2020 12:26

@JandL2020 congratulations! I cross posted with your earlier so didn't see your good news! Gosh I hope they find you a way to eat and sleep. For TV shows, have you ever watched modern family? I've been watching it in lockdown, there are over 10 series, so plenty to keep you going. It's a light-hearted 20 minute long comedy. Very easy watching.

Learningtofeminist · 23/09/2020 12:38

Hello everyone, wow this thread has moved on since I was last on here! Sorry to have been so rubbish at responding, I've been struggling quite a bit (husband has been made redundant - he's paid until the end of this month and the payou will keep us going for a few months more, but he's been jobhunting for over 3 months now and the market obviously is awful, my parents have lost all their income due to Covid and no realistic return in sight for them, my grandparent died in March - not Covid - and ever since there's been increasingly horrible infighting among all his children, mostly one sibling turning the rest of them against my parent...)

I tried to read through and catch up on all your news but it was just too much so thank you so much @Lemongrass1 for the summary! @JandL2020 and @thefishthatcouldwish WOOHOO! Congratulations! Flowers @Fightingtobepositive and @JenniferRo28 it is SO HARD this stage, all I can say is fill your days with things to take your mind off it (one reason I haven't been here so much...) @LKSF oh no, I hope your infection clears up quickly with the antibiotics and you are ok for transfer next week. @poupou is your transfer today? Wishing you all the best if so!

@HavingFaith Sad I'm so sorry. Been there (hugs).

I have been a complete idiot and testing too early so obviously getting upset about the negatives. I just checked my old posts from the time when I actually got pregnant (when I first joined mumsnet because the TWW was driving me crazy) and I only got a faint positive at 10dp5dt so it's really stupid of me to be testing now! I've had 2 failed FETs - the one that worked was the first fresh one - so just so scared about this one not working especially after everything in the last 5 months. I am going to see my parents for a few days this week and leaving the pregnancy tests behind so that I won't be tempted to torture myself! @Lemongrass1 hi transfer buddy! My OTD should be Monday but I asked for Tuesday as have a lot of work commitments on Mondays. Interestingly with my previous transfers (different clinic) they gave me an OTD of 14dp5dt but this one is 10 days - I guess because this one is a blood test and the other clinic was just POAS. I'm not going to be able to resist POAS on Monday and Tuesday before going to the clinic though!

JandL2020 · 23/09/2020 12:38

@Rumtopf I asked for a prescription but they kept saying it’s normal. I’ve just had some toast and avocado which didn’t make me gag!

@OfTwelve that’s okay. Thank you. I’ll check that out for sure xx

LKSF · 23/09/2020 12:48

@Learningtofeminist oh god you poor thing, seems like you’ve been through such a stressfull time, not what you need on top of this fertility journey 😩 sending you hugs, hope a few days at your parents will help you relax and take your mind off the TWW! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your BFP next week xx

JenniferRo28 · 23/09/2020 13:16

@Learningtofeminist im sorry youve had such a rubbish time, im keeping everything crossed you get good news next week but in the meantime try and relax at your parents, hopefully it will take your mind of it for a little while.

Im confused how some people get to test after 10 days as well haha im 14 days unfortunately and going to try my hardest to stick to it. Im trying to tell myself good things come to those who wait but what a lot of nonsense really its either going to work or its not and nothing i do now is going to change that. This is going to put my self control to the ultimate test....

ChicaXS · 23/09/2020 13:18

Hi all!

@JandL2020 Congrats on the positive! Happy for you. Hope your feeling better today?

In total I have 6 embabies sent to PGS (The other 3 didn’t make it) so fingers crossed at least 2-3 come back normal. I’ve decided to do another cycle though whilst waiting as I’m not getting any younger and whilst lockdown is as flexible as it is ( who knows what might happen) I think it’s wise to start again on my second bleed. This way I can just focus on the FETs for the future. Covid has threw a spanner at us all.

How’s everyone doing in the 2ww?

Rumtopf · 23/09/2020 13:28

@Learningtofeminist wow that's all very overwhelming for you, you're certainly going through it. I hope the rest of your 2ww flies by and you get a bfp.

@JandL2020 hurrah for avo toast! I find ginger and lemon tea helps if I'm nauseous.

I'm currently sat under a blanket I'm crocheting trying to find something entertaining to watch that won't make me cry, I'm a bit hormonal and tears are very close to the surface.

JandL2020 · 23/09/2020 13:36

@ChicaXS that sounds really positive fingers crossed for you. I would probably do the same in your position if you’re feeling okay xx

@Rumtopf I’m watching light hearted Friends. Can’t go wrong even though I’ve seen this episode probably 100 times. Xx

poupou · 23/09/2020 14:26

@Learningtofeminist i am so so sorry for everything that you ve been and are going through! This is a lot to handle! I am hoping you will get your happy news soon! Not long to wait! Thanks for the good wishes transfer day is Monday for me!
@ChicaXS great news for all the 6 surviving and getting PGS testing! I personally think its a great choice to go ahead with a new egg retrieval if you can physically and money wise!

AutumnHoping · 23/09/2020 15:57

@ChicaXS - 6 is a great number and sounds like you have a good plan in place and wasting no time!

@Learningtofeminist I’m so sorry for such hard times. Hopefully you can relax at your parents and get good news shortly!

@JandL2020 fantastic news! Congrats. Hopefully the remainder of your pregnancy is easier than the first few days!

Eggling · 23/09/2020 16:44

Hello everyone, been absent for a couple of days as we went away for our anniversary. Just trying to catch up with everyone's news, this thread moves so fast!

Congratulations @JandL2020!

@HavingFaith I'm so sorry, I hope you're doing ok.

7dp5dt now and starting to feel really scared. Had a bit of cramping on and off today, kind of mild AF type cramps. Boobs are a little fuller than usual but not sore. Thinking of doing a HPT on Sunday but right now I don't think I could actually do it! This tww malarkey isn't great but I also don't want it to end if it means bad news.

Thinking of you all xx

thefishthatcouldwish · 23/09/2020 16:53

@JandL2020 wow congratulations!

@JenniferRo28 the whole thing sucks doesn't it. Having the added stress of Covid rules is such a big pain. Walking was my saving grace in lockdown.

Official Test day for me tomorrow I have my fingers crossed that it is still positive.

JandL2020 · 23/09/2020 17:41

Thank you @Eggling. That’s when my cramps started so might be a good sign 🤞

@thefishthatcouldwish good luck tomorrow. I won’t test again until Friday now xx

Fightingtobepositive · 23/09/2020 18:24

@Learningtofeminist sorry you’ve had such a rough ride. Be kind to yourself 💜 And enjoy and relax at your parents.
This stage is very hard and being in local lockdown isn’t to much help 🙈

@JenniferRo28 you are very right there. It will or it won’t. It’s a scary thought!

@ChicaXS glad your feeling good with your decision. It’s such an unfortunate time right now. It’s a good idea. I hope you get a good few back, keeping my fingers crossed.

@Rumtopf glad your keeping busy, I’m with you on feeling emotional today, Ivan already had to cry’s. Hope your ok 💜

@JandL2020 glad your feeling a little better. I love friends, it’s always been my medicine.

@Eggling wishing you lots of luck. Not to much longer to wait now! Cramps could mean anything, fingers crossed for you. I’m completely with you on wishing it would but then thinking twice because I don’t know how to deal with it if it’s bad news. Oh dear!

@thefishthatcouldwish I’ll be thinking of you tomoz. Good luck.

So I’m at the stage of what if it doesn’t work today... a few symptoms which have disheartened me slightly but still trying desperately to keep hope 🤞🤞🤞. I can’t believe I’m only 3dp5dt and already having my dreading monthly symptoms! Grrr

Hope everyone else is holding up. Excited to hear more news!

poupou · 23/09/2020 18:57

@AutumnHoping best of luck for tmr transfer!
@thefishthatcouldwish fingers crossed for the official one tmr!
@Fightingtobepositive as i think i have exactly the same mindset as you! Try to be positive and i am sending positive vibes to you! B

Alexm06 · 23/09/2020 20:05

Ok guys I need your helps. I am 8dp5dt and I’m stressing out a bit so my partner and I thought it would be alright to do a test that were not really going to rely on much but to hopefully stop me from stressing either way! What do you guys think?

Sept IVF/FET Part 2
UnicornPuff · 23/09/2020 20:12

@Alexm06 if it was within the time that looks like a positive. Maybe get a pink dye test they are easier to read. Tentative congratulations!

Lemongrass1 · 23/09/2020 20:12

@JandL2020 congratulations, that’s fantastic news! Hope the symptoms improve

@Fightingtobepositive good luck for tomorrow!

@Learningtofeminist sounds like you’ve had a really tough time. Hope you can relax a bit at your parents. My OTD is Tuesday too

@Alexm06 that looks like a positive to me 😍

OP posts:
JandL2020 · 23/09/2020 20:36

@Alexm06 looks similar to mine this morning. It’s usual for it to be faint this early and a line is a line. I’ve ordered a pink dye one to do on Friday Then I’ll do a digital Saturday. Congrats do you have symptoms?

@Lemongrass1 thank you. I’ve kept dinner down this evening...2 quorn sausage rolls and a tiny bit of OH spag bowl. I’m expecting to vomit it all up in the morning yay xx

Alexm06 · 23/09/2020 20:42

@JandL2020 yeah I plan on getting one tomorrow to do Friday and then one Saturday. Nope nothing have been a bit crampy today and I think I wee a bit more then normal but nothing to make me think otherwise.

I’m trying not to rely on it too much until I do one Friday and Saturday but I had a massive meltdown this morning and my friend said it was better to know and not be as stressed as I was then to keep getting really stressed.
