Morning ladies!

We hit our 1000 limit on the original thread! That’s 1000 messages of support and advice, celebrating every happy milestone, and being there for uncertainty and bad news too. Thanks @Mseddy for setting up our little cohort :)

Will try to tag the regulars, apologies if I miss anyone. @Custardandcream @nextweek @kikisparks @StayingPositive8 @Bruce2 @CardboardCat @MrsT36 @loulamay @MsNoons17 Argh, my phone is refusing to autocomplete properly - I hope that works.

Wishing everyone heath and happiness - whatever stage of the journey you're on xx

@loulamay yeah I was measuring 3 days behind a 10 days ago! But my DH said when he was watching her measure on the private scan it kept flipping between dates when she measured so it was quite subjective. But my nhs one today she was very detailed and measured over and over. I think she checked our NT measurement about 6 times! It was 1.9 in the end which is good.

Good that you still have symptoms :) fingers crossed for your scan!!

loulamay · 04/03/2021 10:24

8 week scan went well! Measuring 7w5d with a nice strong heartbeat. Phew! I'm going back for another scan with my Dr at 10 weeks, then I have to decide if we do the NIPT test or not, because we already did the PGD testing. Need to read up on it a bit. Then a more comprehensive scan at the Fetal Assessment Centre around 13 weeks.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Mseddy · 04/03/2021 12:42

@loulamay congrats on the scan Grin that's alot of monitoring, is there a reason they are wanting to monitor you more? I've had the NHS combined test so just waiting on the results, then I'll judge off that wether we want a harmony test or not. I don't think I could ever have an amnio

loulamay · 04/03/2021 12:59

@Mseddy - I think it's just slightly different here because we're on private medical rather than NHS. So I don't 'graduate' to a different Dr or the hospital, I just stay with the same Dr who has done our IVF procedures all the way through to the birth.

kikisparks · 04/03/2021 15:32

@loulamay that’s fabulous news that the scan went well! Chuffed for you.

loulamay · 04/03/2021 15:51

Thanks @kikisparks - how long until yours??

kikisparks · 04/03/2021 16:55

@loulamay my scan is in just under 2 weeks- I’m so nervous, but I’ve never gotten this far before (5+4 today) so crossing everything!

Lepatz · 04/03/2021 20:07

Hey ladies, wow, I'm so happy to hear everybody is doing so well - all these amazing scan results!!

I'm finished my downreg and wait for the bleed to arrive. So will be having my baseline scan in the next few days, then stim fun begins. I'm so hoping the hgh results in lots of lovely follicles and more chances at normal embryos :)

I've managed to talk myself into every headspace imaginable 😂 I was nowhere near as mad with it on the first round.

So happy to check in here to hear all the news xxx

kikisparks · 06/03/2021 20:25

@Lepatz how exciting to be having your baseline scan in a few days and hoping you get loads of follicles!

Mseddy · 07/03/2021 10:22

@Lepatz fingers crossed for your baseline! Then stims. I'm routing for you to have lots of lovely perfect eggies! Have you got an estimated day for collection?

Lepatz · 07/03/2021 13:17

Thanks @Mseddy @kikisparks !

Would you believe they didn't count them??! 😂 I woke myself up at 6am with all the thoughts, hopes, and fears... only to get a lining check. Oh well. I've waited this long. On Wednesday we will see!

Anyway my liking is nice and thin, start stims tonight.. ER tentatively booked for the 18th.

Oh, I was looking back at last year's thread- I couldn't remember how many follicles I had last time, and I hadn't recorded it anywhere else haha! It felt quite ... nostalgic (?) ... looking back on us all stimming together and on the rollercoaster of august 2020. I'm sure that's not the best word, hmm, but it was something like that.

I just realised... quite soon we're going to get new comers on here thinking this is August 2021 thread 😂

loulamay · 07/03/2021 16:17

@Lepatz yay so happy it's all moving forward! Although not so happy about the 6am wake up moment 😂

Did you decide to do PGS tests this time round? I forget!

Mseddy · 07/03/2021 18:14

@Lepatz i read back to my old October 2019 one in August for the same reason. It was weird seeing how naeive and positive I was haha. I love that we have it to look back on though. We will always share this journey together and (everything crossed) hopefully pregnancies too!

Oh yeah I hadn't even thought of that! Maybe when we fill this one up we should go with August 2020 continued just incase. I'm pretty sure I started the original August one super early 😂 so there might be people looking for an August one soon! Especially with people being told there are long waiting lists at the moment!

Lepatz · 09/03/2021 10:42

Morning ladies :)

Day 3 of stims and I'm feeling pretty good :) maybe starting to feel a couple of twinges round the ovaries but still able to do yoga and enjoy my time off work.

I've also let go some of my stress around the whole thing. I was holding it very tightly - I think all caught up in lockdown and work stress too. But I had a good day on Sunday, and now trying to ride the calm as long as I can!

Though every stage will have its challenges. Yes, doing PGS this time @loulamay. So I know there's a chance we won't get anything to transfer. And I think I've made my peace with this being the last retrieval. So just going to take each bit of info as it comes. Starting with the follicle count tomorrow morning!

I was on Reddit this morning, and saw this link:
datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer
It looks like a reassuring tool for those in early pregnancy :) I hope I get a chance to use it, but thought it might be of interest to you all in the meantime!

loulamay · 09/03/2021 12:29

You're sounding so great @Lepatz - yay! Glad you are feeling less stressed - this whole process takes such a toll. At least with the PGS you know you're transferring a healthy frostie! And I have no doubt that all your prep and supplements are going to make a difference.

That website is bookmarked on my phone! hahaha. Even with my age and number of previous miscarriages, I think I'm around the 5% mark today at 9weeks, which is lovely. I think I will start to breathe a little when I hit the second trimester.

Happy Tuesday all!

Lepatz · 10/03/2021 11:29

I had my day 3 scan today. I was a bit nervous about it, as hadn't had an AFC since August, and my amh has sunk since then...

... but I got 24 follicles! 7 more than August :D

Looks like the supplements did their thing!

That's an amazing number!!!!! *does small happy dance at desk

loulamay · 11/03/2021 07:27

@Mseddy and @MsNoons17 I meant to ask you if you had a bleed coming off your progesterone etc? I asked my Dr at the last scan how long I would be on them and he said 10 weeks, which made me nervous as I thought I had until 12!!

@kikisparks can't be long until your scan now. Hope you're not going too mad!

kikisparks · 11/03/2021 07:47

That’s amazing @Lepatz, sounding so positive so far! I use that website too, check it most days, it’s comforting to see the risk going down.

@loulamay yeah it’s next week! I’m actually not too bad anxiety wise now (although I have very anxious dreams) but I think I’ll be very nervous on the day.

Mseddy · 11/03/2021 14:51

@Lepatz thats amazing news! well done little follicles!

@loulamay no I didn't bleed at all. Haven't really noticed anything different since coming off the meds. Except I'm less bloated and bunged up!

loulamay · 16/03/2021 10:03

Happy Tuesday DaffodilDaffodil

How is everyone getting on? @kikisparks not sure when your scan is this week but will be thinking of you! @Lepatz are you still on for egg retrieval this week?

I'm ten weeks today and feel like my nausea is subsiding. Praying it might be going away altogether because I miss eating!! Grin

Lepatz · 17/03/2021 14:29

Hey fertility team :)

So I just had my retrieval. 13 eggs collected, will find out tomorrow re maturity/fertilisation. It's a good number - but had hoped for more! I had 26/7 follicles on Monday's scan, but some were over 30mm then, so I feel like I may have stimmed a day longer than was necessary...

Also, as feared, OH's sperm wasn't viable, so we've had to go with the backup plan of the frozen sample of dubious quality. Feeling a bit gutted about that tbh.

So I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself, and am in a lot of pain from the procedure. Sorry for the whinge post - but it's great to have somewhere to share. I couldn't quite bring myself to join a new group for this round for some reason!

@loulamay Yay for subsiding nausea and the re-emergence of appetite!

@kikisparks Good luck with your scan this week :)

OP posts:
kikisparks · 17/03/2021 14:53

Sorry @Lepatz about your husband’s sperm, hope you still get a good fertilisation rate- 13 eggs is really good though! Hope the pain subsides soon, and you can rest and take care of yourself today.

kikisparks · 17/03/2021 14:58

@loulamay hope your nausea does go soon! I’m really looking forward to 12 weeks and hopefully being able to eat normal food again instead of small amounts of plain carbs!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for the scan, it was today and went really well! Saw the little one really clearly and they were even jumping about a bit, and saw a nice heartbeat. Measuring 7+2 and I’m 7+3 today so I’m happy with that. So exciting to get to this stage after 2 chemical pregnancies, just hope all goes well from here.

loulamay · 18/03/2021 05:43

@Lepatz you whinge away! That's what we're here for! Fingers crossed for your results today and let us know how you get on. I'll be crossing everything for you.

@kikisparks such fantastic news! Good luck with the morning sickness!
