November IVF/FET

... Too soon?! 😁😉

Been waiting on a FET since we were put on July's list and I've heard from our clinic this week that I've to call them when AF rocks up in October for a November FET. We had our fresh cycle in January, had a BFP, but found there was no heartbeat at the 11 week scan in March (MMC) - it's been a bit of a roller-coaster so far this year (as if covid craziness wasn't enough!).

Found having a thread to go through it all with a massive emotional support, so looking for some MN buddies to do it all again with. Good luck ladies and looking forward to 'meeting' you 🍀🙂

@granddesigns good luck for tomorrow! I hope you've been okay the last few days and haven't gone too crazy 🤪

I hope everyone managed to have a good Christmas, and here's to a better 2021!

unknownscot · 30/12/2020 19:02

Hope everyone is keeping well.

I had my prostap injection today for my fresh cycle round 2! 🤞🏼✨

X

Thanks @ivfjourney5 - pretty sure we are out tbh but will follow the rules to the end on the off chance! Spotting on 24th and tinged cm but also no symptoms remaining now and sleeping through, no frequent loo visits etc which were all signs last time! Have been spring cleaning ahead of the new year and will do the more vigorous cleaning jobs tomorrow when I know for certain - at least we can start the new year ship shape and ready for a new cycle. Any thoughts from ladies who have done more than one fresh round how quickly we will be able to do another fresh one as this was the last frostie from the March round - self preservation I know but also pretty sure this will be the case!

Good luck with the new FET @unknownscot - hope your down reg is quiet and kind but successful!

granddesigns · 31/12/2020 09:35

Morning all - as suspected we are out with a BFN today. Think I'd mentally prepared for it so am disappointed but ok. Waiting for the call back to confirm next steps and stopping meds (hoping that the tinged cm is enough and we can get in on with taking small steps towards a new cycle in the new year - it will probably be almost a year to the week as we did the first fresh cycle in 2020!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement and good wishes. It's been a heck of a long year with even more waiting than usual! Wishing all of you well, and to those of you who journeyed on here but will be seeking a new bus in the new year, maybe we will bump into each other on another thread. For those firmly on this bus, I hope the journey is smooth and 2021 brings happy outcomes.

BonTon · 31/12/2020 12:45

Sorry to hear this @granddesigns. All the best for your next cycle and a happy, healthy 2021 xxx

SpyroC · 31/12/2020 14:23

I'm so sorry to hear this @granddesigns I was thinking of you and really hoping you'd have a happy ending to 2020. My clinic used to say 3 cycles between fresh cycles and 1 after a fet but now it's 1 cycle even for fresh. I chose to go straight away this time around as the ectopic gave me hope and it was hard going but hey it worked! (Mine were both fresh rounds). Wishing you the best of luck for 2021, 3rd time lucky rang true for me. Take care of yourself and make the most of guilt free 🍷 this evening. Xx

unknownscot · 02/06/2021 22:26

Hope you're all doing okay. Haven't been on here in months!
We're starting round three soon hopefully 🤞🏼

MF1981 · 03/06/2021 09:43

Good luck with the new round @unknownscot !

Valentina111 · 02/11/2022 09:27

Hi, it's my first time here on this site, and I started from yesterday my Menopur injections, is anyone in the same situation like mine?
Thanks

unknownscot · 05/11/2022 09:38

This is a blast from the past. @Valentina111 I'm afraid this is an old thread not Nov 2022

BambiOnIce80 · 05/11/2022 12:53

I was thinking the same @unknownscot 😂 How are you doing? I do wonder every now and then how all these warrior women's journeys are going 🔮

Hi both! I saw the update too - auld times past!

Hope you’re both well. I’m older, wiser and still child free. Considering a fourth ER though, so maybe not so wise (esp given the older!). Or maybe take the donor embryo route. It took me a long time to recover from two devastating rounds in 2021. The journey continues it seems!

Mseddy · 06/11/2022 18:50

Wow blast from the past! I was thinking of you not long back from our August 21 thread @Lepatz . Sorry to hear it took you a long time to recover from 2021. Got everything crossed for you whichever route you choose

TheGlitterFairy · 07/11/2022 09:33

Hi - a blast from the past indeed!! Hope everyone is ok?

Update from me - DS is now almost 17 months after many rounds of treatment and finally the donor egg route as some will recall. Funny that this is the Nov thread again as we have an appt this week to kick start a FET with our one remaining frostie eek! After much thought and debate decided we wanted to conclude our journey whichever way it turns out with this one so here we go again.

Cant say I’m looking forward to the injections - will be a full medicated round again with the horrid IM progesterone again but feel it’s the right thing to do to conclude things then we’ll head into the new year with whatever that is! Consultant is keen to get the transfer (🙏) done before end of year. Reckon they’ll have no issues in prepping me but it’ll be whether the embryo thaws ok (one did - DS - and one didn’t last time) so we’ll see.

Hope everyone else is doing ok with their journeys whatever they may be!

BambiOnIce80 · 07/11/2022 13:25

Lovely to hear from you @Lepatz! So sorry about the devastating rounds in 2021 😔 Taking time out to recover and heal is so important. I'm keeping everything crossed for you that your next round and/or donor route works for you 🤞🏻

How's life treating you @Mseddy ?

And fantastic to hear from you too @TheGlitterFairy ! 17 months! 🤯 It's mental how quickly time goes in IVF years! Spooky timing that this should pop

up again as you're prepping for another FET 😄

Still blows my mind that we're 2 years on from this thread and how much can change in that time. My update is that I had my third transfer/second FET in April 21, which turned out to be third time lucky. DS will be 1 next month and I still can't quite believe he's here.x

@BambiOnIce80 life is treating me very well thank you. My little "Mr Frostie" was acrually a Mrs Frostie and shes 14 months old. Still look at her everyday and am just blown away by her. 21st December will be two years since she was defrosted!

@TheGlitterFairy good luck for this round! We have 3 frosties, but I'm so far from that point mentally and physically yet!

unknownscot · 08/11/2022 03:59

So so lovely to see updates.

Fingers firmly crossed for @Lepatz

We had our third round in June 2021 with a FET in October. Our little boy turns 5 months tomorrow. I'm still amazed everyday.

Still very much fighting the stigma around discussing infertility and baby loss.

❤️

Mseddy · 08/11/2022 17:16

@unknownscot me too. I rushed into my FET with DD when I wasn't emotionally ready and I'm suffering the affects of that now still. I wouldn't mentally survive trying for a sibling right now
