... Too soon?! 😁😉

Been waiting on a FET since we were put on July's list and I've heard from our clinic this week that I've to call them when AF rocks up in October for a November FET. We had our fresh cycle in January, had a BFP, but found there was no heartbeat at the 11 week scan in March (MMC) - it's been a bit of a roller-coaster so far this year (as if covid craziness wasn't enough!).

Found having a thread to go through it all with a massive emotional support, so looking for some MN buddies to do it all again with. Good luck ladies and looking forward to 'meeting' you 🍀🙂

That's where my phobia for HPT's comes from @unknownscot - the total head f🤬k that they cause! I'd rather just leave it until OTD when you should get an answer one way or another (unless you're me of course and end up in limbo! 🤦🏻‍♀️). Fresh air sounds good - that's exactly what I'm missing, but not enough to get wet! 😂

Our bodies absolutely get put through it during a fresh cycle @Gardenlady543 - the difference between a fresh and a FET is night and day. The FET is far gentler on our bodies. I hope the pink is a good sign for you 🤞🍀🤞🍀

Keeping everything crossed for you @unknownscot and @Gardenlady543. As I found out, a bit of bleeding can still end up being a positive thing. It does sound a bit implantation-y @Gardenlady543 🤞 and agree re testing, could well just be too early.

Glad you're hanging in there @BambiOnIce80 👍 the waiting game is so hard and you'd already done the main bit of it! Hope it dries up so you can get out for a nice walk. It's actually glorious sunshine here for the first time in ages ☀️ I went for a little run this morning and then a dog walk with a friend. The consultant said it was okay to gradually ease back in to running so thought I'd bite the bullet before I got too worried 😬 I'm feeling a bit more reassured today as had no bleeding yesterday. I did have an odd moment when I thought 'I am pregnant', and then quickly put it to the back of my mind. Looking forward to the 23rd and if all okay I think I might believe it then! 🤞

SpyroC · 05/12/2020 14:24

@BambiOnIce80 I wouldn't worry about an ectopic (well no more than the 2-4% chance in any cycle) it was the full period combined with the very faint positive that got my suspicions up, I thought with that much bleeding there's no way it can have implanted in my lining and I was right. If the hcg rise is slow then it would be something to be a more vigilant of but I'm hoping you hear it's rising just fine and it was just slow. 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻

I'm glad the pain has stopped @unknownscot it's not uncommon for it not to show up at this stage so try and hold out until otd. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

BonTon · 05/12/2020 15:14

Glad the pain has stopped @unknownscot... it could def be too early so hopefully you’ll have a different result next week.

@Gardenlady543 it’s so hard not to test isn’t it! Hopefully you can put it to the back of your mind, although some people seem to think it lessens the blow on OTD if you’re already kind of aware 🤷🏼‍♀️ Whatever works for you.

@BambiOnIce80 rubbish that it’s raining. A good excuse to stay in the warm. My husband was out last night so I treated myself to Rebecca on Netflix... lovely easy watching and Armie Hammer is 😍 has to be positive that you have some symptoms too. Have everything crossed for you next week.

@MGee123 great that you’ve started running again. I’ve stopped completely this time... not really sure why and wonder if that was the reason my lining took longer to thicken, as my body must be used to running most days. Looking forward to getting back to it in a couple of weeks whatever the result. Is 23rd your early scan? Nice to have it just before Christmas and not too long to wait (although sure it will feel like ages to you)!

@SpyroC hope you’re feeling well.

Hope everyone else is doing well. There must be quite a few test days this week 🤞🏻🙏 loads of luck. Getting a few flutters of excitement / dread at our transfer on Monday. Trying to keep myself distracted! xx

Gardenlady543 · 05/12/2020 18:00

Thanks everyone, I hope everyone is doing well this weekend. I’ve gone from being certain I have an implantation problem and will never get pregnant, to this could be implantation... in a day. I worry if I don’t do regular POAS tests I will be convinced I’m pregnant and really upset if it then turns out I’m not. The pink discharge on wiping has remained there everytime I wipe all day, I got another tiny clot which again freaked me out that it was becoming a period, but it hasn’t become red or increases in flow so far. So I just need to try and stay calm I think!!

ivfjourney5 · 06/12/2020 08:57

@BonTon best of luck for tomorrow darling 🤞🏼

@Gardenlady543 I hope your doing okay? Gosh you've been through it but hopefully is it implantation related! How has it been overnight? Not too long until OTD now, hang in there for Wed!

@unknownscot you are nearly there now! Hang in there and I hope today goes quickly. Will the nurses ring you afterwards with the results? Glad you managed to get outside yesterday, I went for a long walk yesterday as well to keep myself busy. Do you have many plans for today?

@BambiOnIce80 hopefully the weather dries up today a bit so you can get out. Remind me when your OTD is again? How are the cats? 😺

@Melissa1983 how are you getting on?

@PineappleC im so sorry it's been cancelled 😢 Your previous medicated cycles did they only try tablets as oestrogen? You should ask about using a different form, it was patches that worked for me this time (I very naughtily added the patches myself but it was definitely them that finally increased my lining!)

@SpyroC @MGee123 @ChicaXS @TheGlitterFairy I hope you ladies are all okay and things are moving along nicely

Sorry to anybody I've missed out!
Not much to report my side, I'm 5dp5dt and I'm still very much in my PUPO bubble. I know everyone says the tww is the most stressful part but this is the least stressed I've been in the last 4 months!

Gardenlady543 · 06/12/2020 09:25

@ivfjourney5 it’s good to hear you’re finding the 2ww is going well :)

The pink discharge has continued this morning, I’m now 10dp5dt and it’s been there for about 36 hours now, from what I can see periods tends to start from 12dp onwards and implantation bleeding can last for 1-3 days. The pelvic pain/cramps have now stopped which I think is good. Another BFN on a FRER (I couldn’t help myself and I know I will convince myself I’m pregnant if I don’t do them with this pink discharge). I don’t think there’s anything I can do differently, I’ve been taking it easy and doing some walks, so I’ll just carry on with that, because what will be, will be.

unknownscot · 06/12/2020 11:22

@ivfjourney5
Glad you are doing well in the tww, I did find keeping busy was great and actually it's been absolutely fine overall.

Yes, my bloods are at 0915 and they said they would call anytime up until 1600.
It could be a loooong day 😂

Yeah our walk yesterday was lovely. Today we are driving around dropping Christmas presents off to extended family so that I can isolate in the lead up to Christmas Day in order to see immediate family.
It's lovely crisp and dry weather today here.

X

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2020 12:13

OTD#2 (it could only happen to me! 🤦🏻‍♀️) is on Wednesday @ivfjourney5 🔮 I'm not surprised at all that you're finding the TWW less stressful than the last 4 months - you've fought bloody hard to get here you warrior! 💪💪💪

Excellent news that you haven't had any more spotting and you've fit a run in @MGee123 🏃🏻‍♀️ I think I'll wait until I get a clearer answer about what's going on before I chance it 🔮 I would definitely like to keep it up if it's safe to do so.x

Thanks for the heads up about the slow rising hCG @SpyroC ❤️ Let's see what my number is on Wednesday 🔮

I'll add it to my watch list @BonTon 👍 I think I've nearly exhausted everything on prime and Netflix! 😳 Sending tonnes of positivity your way for ET tomorrow 💓

Keep on doing whatever feels right for you @Gardenlady543 ❤️ I'm keeping everything crossed for you that it's pink for implantation 🤞🤞🤞

Oh crikey @unknownscot , that's a bit of a window to wait for your phone call 😣 Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞 The weather's looking a lot better here today too (less flood-y! 🌊), so I'm going to get my Christmas cards written and then nip down the post office to post them ✉️

So. I had the worst nights sleep ever! 😣 All because my medical student neighbours (who should bloody well know better! 😠) felt it was appropriate to have a house party with 20 people present, despite being in (Scottish) tier 3 restrictions 🤨 I lost it at 3.30am and called the po-po on them (yes, that's how I roll 😬) 🚨 Anywho, so I was awake from 12.30am until I did my 6am pessary and I also did my '48 hours later' OPK to see which way the line is heading. I waited for the control line to come up and saw that the test line was way, way lighter than it had been at 10dp5dt, so I shuffled off back to bed feeling pretty defeated 😔 Managed to get about an hour and a halfs sleep before DP came back from his night shift and then I was desperate for a wee when I woke up. Glanced at the OPK sat on the side and the line wasn't way, way weaker at all (pic attached)! 🤯 I think it actually looks a little darker? 🤔 What I am sure of is that I am not peeing on anymore sticks before my blood result on Wednesday - I don't think my fragile sanity can take anymore drama!! 🤪

@BambiOnIce80 12dp definitely looks darker than 10dp to me. Erggg how annoying about
your neighbour, sleep is so important so that would have got on my nerves too!

Are you having any symptoms? I’m a bit worried that my breasts feel completely normal, they’ve shrunk back to normal size and are not sore at all, in fact besides the pink discharge I am completely back to normal and I’m now at 10dp5dt with not long to go until my OTD which is a POAS on 13dp5dt.

MGee123 · 06/12/2020 13:22

Afternoon ladies 👋

@SpyroC yes 23rd is scan with clinic when I would be 7 weeks on the dot 😬 I ran again today and felt good for it. I ran up to transfer and then stopped until OTD. I did check with the consultant. All seems fine so far 🤞

@Gardenlady543 it's so tough isn't it. The only thing I've learned is that you can't predict what your body is doing! I was genuinely so certain AF was turning up. I had actually almost rung the clinic to try and book us in for jan thinking they might be busy 😂

Glad you're in the PUPO bubble and finding it okay @ivfjourney5 👍 I was okay too until the last few days - then resisting testing was incredibly hard! Hope your low stress continues, that's got to be good for the embryo!

@unknownscot sounds like quite a nice day playing Father Christmas! Gosh that is a big time window 🙈 I really hope they call early for you

@BambiOnIce80 your neighbours sound like a pain in the arse! Don't blame you for calling the police. I think the 12dp test looks a bit darker too. 🤞 for you 🤞.

Good luck to everyone else who has things happening tomorrow. @BonTon I think it's ET for you? 🤞🤞🤞

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2020 14:18

I love my sleep too @Gardenlady543 😴 I think DP managed to get more on his night shift than I did in our bed!! On the boobs front, my experience of my fresh cycle and this FET cycle has been entirely different (but then my hCG levels are also entirely different, so 🤷🏻‍♀️). On the fresh cycle my boobs had stopped having their standard post-ovulation side pain a couple of days before OTD, so they felt completely normal at that point. It was nearly a week later that they changed to feeling solid with the tenderness at the front/kind of behind the nipple. This time I noticed the solid/tenderness at the front thing the night before OTD (the only thing that made me think "hmmmm, maybe not a BFN after all 🤔") and now they've been varying degrees of heavy and tender at the front ever since. The problem with these symptoms are that they're going to be different for everyone, so try not to read too much into the boobs! 😄

You're definitely inspiring me with your running @MGee123 🏃🏻‍♀️ If it's not good news on Wednesday then I'm going to get straight back on it 👍

SpyroC · 06/12/2020 14:27

Good luck for tomorrow @unknownscot my scan is at 3 so I'll be with you on the anxious wait though I hope they manage to call you sooner. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Gardenlady543 I hope things change for you in time for otd. 🤞🏻 for late implantation.

Argh @BambiOnIce80 I don't blame you on calling the police! What a bunch of selfish idiots! The bottom test does look darker. Those IC opks are a bit hit and miss but hopefully it's a good sign. I did 11 tests in my limbo! 😬 8 of them were Asda ones from otd 13dp5dt to 29dp! The progression is clear and matched up to the hcg. It really is a massive head fuck and I feel for you! I'm hope Wednesday comes around quickly. The testing helped me as I felt like it kept me clued in. You are very strong to stay away 💪🏻 but you have to do what's best for you. Ultimately testing won't change the outcome so it's all about what feels right. 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻

Thanks to those of you who have impressively remembered my scan is tomorrow. I had a bad night last night with some one sided cramping so I'm obviously fearful of another ectopic. As a result my anxiety unsurprisingly has shot up. Wish me luck! 🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻

Sending strength and good luck to all of you in the tww. X

BambiOnIce80 · 06/12/2020 14:42

How did I miss it's your scan tomorrow @SpyroC?! 😟 Sending you loads of positive vibes 💓💓💓 I hope you're going to treat us to the scan pic if they give you one? 🤞

I know I'm being a bit of a tit with using the OPKs to check line recession/progression 😬 I just know I'll damage my mental health if I start on the HPT's and I kind of wish I hadn't done those two OPKs 🤦🏻‍♀️ Only 3 more days until OTD#2 🔮

Gardenlady543 · 06/12/2020 16:29

It sounds like it’s a big day tomorrow for a few people, good luck @unknownscot for the OTD blood test, what a long wait, hopefully they’ll have the result back quite quickly and call you as soon as they know. Also good luck to @BonTon for the ET and @SpyroC for the scan, I have everything crossed for a perfect position on the scan!

@bambionice80 lol I am definitely over obsessing on boob watch! My breasts are definitely soft and non sore, but DH has advised that they still look bigger than normal and offered to be oncall for regular checks lol!! Nearly there for your OTD 2.0, which is the same as my OTD!

I am now fearful of checking for any more discharge, after a shopping trip it looked a bit darker but compared to the little clot it is still in the pink/brown category. Anyway there is nothing I can do to change things now and I’m planning on filling up my layzspa and having a couple of crisp sandwiches if I’m told it’s a no go later in the week.

Geep · 06/12/2020 19:17

Hi all.
Hope everyone is keeping well. Alot of OTD and scans this week - good luck to all.
Just looking some advice. I have my review meeting with the clinic on the 23rd to discuss the failed cycle and the next steps. Still a few weeks of but want to be prepared so i can get the most out of it. I will be asking what will be happen differently next time to hopefully get a successful cycle including what can be done to get more mature eggs (will ask about double trigger shot) and also what will they do to stop my period arriving before OTD.
Just wondering has anyone any advice on other things i should ask?
Thanks

Gardenlady543 · 07/12/2020 05:31

Well I think @ImHopeful was right about low progesterone causing bleeding. Yesterday it started to get more red and this morning it is very red. I am only on lubion once a day and I think others have mentioned they take it twice a day or alongside a vagina pessary. It was weird that I got strange pelvic pains the day before it all started on 7dp5dt, I wonder if the embryo tried to implant and it started the bleeding which then just carried on. I’ve seen people on forums say they added in an extra progesterone dose and the bleeding has stopped. It does tend to be slower in the evening after my 5pm injection, so I’ve put in a pessary this morning to see if it slows it down as an experiment and will call the clinic this morning to discuss it. It’s another BFN for me this morning, I wonder if things could have been different if the nurse I spoke to told me to increase the progesterone on Friday, it was very early for a period to come on and I did tell her there was a little clot present, so I’m disappointed she dismissed it when I asked.

TheGlitterFairy · 07/12/2020 07:19

Good luck today @BonTon for your ET 🙏 hope all goes well!

@ivfjourney5 hope you don’t have to wait til the end of the day to hear back on your bloods. Try to keep busy while you wait!! I always find that going to the loo makes the phone ring 😂

@BambiOnIce80 I think that 2nd one looks darker too so really hope you’ve a slow burner going on. You’re doing amazingly well with this additional wait to see what’s going on - stay strong 💪. And I don’t blame you for calling the police either!! So selfish!! Am with you on the lack of sleep too. We’ve had some MIL drama this weekend over Christmas plans so that’s not helped. 😬

@SpyroC I’m 30 mins before you at 2.30!!

Last ass injection this morning 🍑💉 and will be switching to Lubion if all well later. Have found them wearing these last 2 weeks so delighted to not have to do these anymore!!! 🙌🙌 (appreciate Lubion isn’t particularly pleasant but least the DH doesn’t have to act as nurse each morning)!

Good luck all today x

ivfjourney5 · 07/12/2020 07:39

The irony of me telling others to hang on to OTD, 6dp5dt and I caved...
This is the cycle that the consultant and nurses wanted to cancel!!!
DH is still asleep and I've casually just left the test on the side in the bathroom

November IVF/FET
ivfjourney5 · 07/12/2020 07:48

@Gardenlady543 oh I'm so sorry. I didn't see your message before I posted and now I feel insensitive! It was definitely the right thing to do by using the pessary this morning. I'm praying it works and stops the bleeding!

Gardenlady543 · 07/12/2020 07:56

@ivfjourney5 oh don’t worry about your post! That is great news, this is my first IVF cycle and it sounds like you’ve been through it, so you definitely deserve it!!

I think the bleeding has gone on too long for anything to happen, but at least I know about the progesterone from what you said. I’m really upset but just need to look to the future and learn from this, hopefully there is a way to titrate it up slowly so I don’t react so badly next time and the maintain a higher dose.

BambiOnIce80 · 07/12/2020 08:53

Eeeeeeeekkkkkkk @ivfjourney5!!! 🤩😍🤩😍 That's looking like a pretty healthy line for 6dp5dt!! 🤩 Please, please be the smuggest of all smug people when you eventually call the clinic with your BFP!! 😂🤣😂🤣 When is OTD?

I'm really sorry that the pink is getting redder @Gardenlady543 😔 It does sound like your clinic might have been on the back foot when you reacted to the pessaries. I wonder if you only needed the lubion once a day due to it being a fresh cycle? You would have had all of your empty corpus luteums producing your own progesterone too, so maybe that's why they thought once a day would be OK? They'll certainly alter the dose for your FET though and you've got all of those frosties to look forward to, so your in a great position moving forward ❄ Don't give up hope.x

Urgh, sorry to hear about the MIL Christmas drama @TheGlitterFairy 💐 What's the issue there? I have in my head that it might be your viability scan today/this week, so sending you tonnes of positive thoughts, if so 💓🍀💓🍀

OP posts:
ivfjourney5 · 07/12/2020 08:59

Thanks @BambiOnIce80!!! I was fully expecting it to be a BFN because of how early it is! I know it's still very faint and I still don't quite believe it and I'll be checking again tomorrow morning! My OTD is Saturday, still a while away yet 😂 Oh don't worry I will be VERY smug on the phone to them

Gardenlady543 · 07/12/2020 09:33

Thanks @BambiOnIce80 I don’t understand with 12 eggs retrieved, surely my body should have been producing progesterone then, I don’t understand why I would have this bleed early on, but can only put it down to a lack of progesterone.

I’ve had a tearful call with the clinic this morning, I was convinced the pains I’ve never had before must have been implantation related, so with worrying about the rash at first and then this bleed, I’m just really upset. The clinic have asked me to carry on until wednesday but said they would expect the test to be negative then and are getting my review appointment booked in with the specialist in anticipation of a BFN so I can discuss the next cycle and get arrangements in place ASAP. They have checked the dosage with the doctor and said that once a day should be adequate for a fresh cycle and think it’s just one of those things. I’m hoping to meet early with the specialist as I have 8 eggs frozen and 4 are 1,1’s I am thinking about having the 1,1’s PGT-A testing, may as well spare myself a little bit of heartache if I can.

BambiOnIce80 · 07/12/2020 09:49

I'm upset for you @Gardenlady543 😔💙 Could you get them to check your progesterone when you get your ASAP appointment? That way you can get some answers about it to bear in mind for your next cycle. I've thought about PGS testing too... still on the fence at the moment, but whatever happens on Wednesday will probably sway me one way or another. Are you able to take today off work? Having some time to process/grieve without having to think about work might help you through.x
