... Too soon?! 😁😉

Been waiting on a FET since we were put on July's list and I've heard from our clinic this week that I've to call them when AF rocks up in October for a November FET. We had our fresh cycle in January, had a BFP, but found there was no heartbeat at the 11 week scan in March (MMC) - it's been a bit of a roller-coaster so far this year (as if covid craziness wasn't enough!).

Found having a thread to go through it all with a massive emotional support, so looking for some MN buddies to do it all again with. Good luck ladies and looking forward to 'meeting' you 🍀🙂

@MGee123 i've had my scan this morning and dependant on my blood results from today they want me to do another injection tonight and collect on Thursday. However, also depending on my blood results i might not inject tonight, but trigger and collect Wednesday. One of my ovaries hasn't really responded, i've only got 2 follicles on that side that have grown to a reasonable size. The right one has about 10 large follicles on, and i can definitely feel them! So i'm waiting for that call!!

I am taking my duty very seriously @indigocloud! 🍨😋🍨😋

@SpyroC I'm with you on the not wanting to upset anything 'down there'! 😂 If it's a BFP, poor old DP is going to be looking at 9 months of self-service! 😬 I envy you on the not needing a haircut 😏 I think I'm about 35% grey now, so roots are a constant issue 🙄 If it's a BFP I won't be getting them done until/if we get past the 12 week scan without incident... they still wouldn't be as bad as post lockdown roots! 😂 That look was all kinds of special 🙈 Fingers crossed for implantation bleeding 🤞🤞🤞

We're confirmed for EC on Wed so trigger tonight! 6 good size follicles today and 2 others not looking too bad so the extra day of stims did the job I think. They said all things considered with my low AMH and rubbish AFC this seems to be a fairly good response. 🤞 for a couple of eggs at least!

I wish I'd got my hair done at the beginning of the month 🙈 and I'm with you re not wanting to upset anything down there. Post EC I think we will be having a bit of a drought!!

2 more days of injections for me 😭 rescan on Wednesday morning. Really feeling it at the moment, my stomach is so bloated and heavy. Gutted for having to wait even longer, but I suppose what’s an extra few days in the grand scheme of things!

@Birdladybird Aw sorry to hear that :( If the bloating gets too much, try that high fibre smoothie recipe I'd shared earlier. It helped me so much sometimes I barely remember I'm going through IVF. Hang in there x

Thank you so much for all your thoughts and well wishes!

I am back from my my transfer and it went well. It was my first time so didn’t know what to expect but it was speedily done ! I felt nervous peeing straight after as I swear I pissed the embaby out but that’s completely irrational 🤣!

I’m a nervous nelly, took an Uber home and it was a bumpy ride but I know I’m not being logical with myself! I just have to remain calm. I really need to keep myself sane these next two weeks as my OTD is in 13 days time. How will I cope?!

My DH has hid all the pregnancy tests from the house too, for my own sanity as I’m the type to test tomorrow. I pray that these two weeks fly by. I have a job interview on Wednesday too and haven’t prepped, completely not focused and feeling weirded out here eating Brazil nuts! I commend you women for being so strong.

It’s a euploid too so I’m praying this baby sticks as it’s chromosomally normal and tested.

@Birdladybird I'm sorry you have to do more injections but I'm sure it'll be worth it. They won't risk overcooking you! My left ovary never responds well. I think it's fairly common.

@BambiOnIce80 poor DPs 😂 I'm sure they will be too elated with the bfp to care...for a while anyway 😂. Urgh greys! I don't have too many but annoyingly the ones I do have are near the front. I've just given up 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm non toxic at the moment too so if it's a bfp I won't dye until the 2nd trimester either, I'll look 👌🏻😂 that's true though, can't be worse than lock down one...I hope.

Congratulations on being pupo @ChicaXS I hate the pee afterwards too😂 but I just can't not go after the full bladder period! Bumps also stress me out afterwards as well. My clinic make you wait 13 days too 😬 that's great that you know for sure it's euploid! I have decided not to test early. I did last time as I had a full period yet I still got a bfp....

Last night I kept waking up and my boobs were really sore! Now they are the least sore they've been 🤷🏻‍♀️ this tww is definitely different to my first two. It feels positive but in reality it is probably just that I am actually on the right dose of progesterone this time around. Thankfully there has been no further signs of blood since the possible implantation spotting. 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻

Awwww thanks @SpyroC!!! I wasn’t sure I’d survive the last 10 days but here we are on the eve of the day reckoning. No idea why it’s a couple of days earlier than yours - not too long for you to go too 😘 I’m pleased I’ve held out and not tested early despite wanting to! My boobs are still sore too - trying to think it’s the progesterone and I guess just in self preservation mode this eve.

Hi all
I’m on day 6 of stimulating injections (IVF first timer), I have a AFC of 34 so on a short protocol, the clinic predict they’ll be doing the egg collection a week tomorrow, they said there’s around 11 follicles looking good at the moment with around 8 over 10mm.

I feel fullness and pressure in my pelvis which is getting really uncomfortable. It’s hard to find a comfortable position to relax in, has anyone got any advice?! Especially as there’s another week to go!

Oh bugger @Birdladybird 😢 but as you say, on the flip side, best to get it right. I'm sure the next few days will go quick 👍

Woohoo well done @ChicaXS! Good idea to hide the pregnancy tests 👍 I've already said I won't test early and am not an avid tester historically so hope I manage to stick to it if we get to that point! Hope you've had a nice restful evening.

Welcome @Gardenlady543 👋 I don't have any IVF specific advice I'm afraid as I've had minimal bloating with a very small AFC count! In non-IVF scenarios peppermint tea is good I think? I'm sure some others will be able to offer wise words soon 😊

I've done my double triggers! Ovitrelle and Buserelin. I was really worried about messing up the Ovitrelle! Feels weird it's all done 😬 looking forward to Wed now and keeping everything crossed we get some eggs. I think I'll be pleased with anything more than 1 to be honest!

Think I’m in shock that it’s actually worked!!!!! After 3.5 years of fertility treatment, 3 rounds of IVF, a cancelled round, a cancelled FET and a failed transfer 3 years ago and now FINALLY on our 6th attempt (and with a wonderful donor egg), here we are. What a journey!!!!

Totally shocked and so so happy!!! So grateful for everyone’s support over the last couple of weeks on here too, thankyou 🙏💙💖💙💖💙💖 sending good wishes to all!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

@bambionice80 lucky you having the hairdressers only. I had mine cut a couple of months ago and it was possibly the worst cut I've had in a long time (we've recently moved area so having to find a new one!) so I really can't wait to get it sorted! 😅

@gardenlady543 ouch! I had an AFC of 24 and that was pretty uncomfortable so I can only imagine! No real advice but I just made sure to not move too much when sitting or sleeping. Also EC was a total relief as you lose that feeling instantly!

My period arrived yesterday so we are finally on our FET cycle 🎉 I have blood tests and a scan tomorrow to check this cycle is suitable (never had a scan whilst on my period before...a little nervous!) And then hopefully I will be mainly using my own hormones 🤞 They said they will add in stuff like aspirin and possibly extra progesterone, but will be mainly natural. The only thing which might cancel it is that my TSH levels were a bit high and they gave me Thyroxine to lower it. If it hasn't lowered enough, they may make us wait until next month. Really hope not!!

@Gardenlady543 I’m not sure what my AFC was but I had 25 eggs collected so was very bloated ... sorry I don’t have any words of wisdom either but, as others have said, the feeling died down quite soon after egg collection.

@PineappleC ah that’s good to know! For some reason everyone told me to expect egg collection on day 18 and then yesterday they said that was wrong and it’s day 12-14 which is a relief! The annoying thing is that they are gently stimulating me, so I probably won’t end up with a huge number of eggs, but will still get the annoyance of all the follicles growing to some degree!

@BonTon oh wow 25 eggs! What a result!!

@BonTon that’s a huge number - did you get any OHSS symptoms?

@Gardenlady543 yep, although first transfer was a BFN and the quality of the blastocysts was mixed (the doctors think because of some dna fragmentation in the sperm as we had a big drop off from day 3 to day 5 of embryo development) so I’d def agree with others on here that it’s quality over quantity!

@MF1981 yes, I was quite bloated for a few days after and had a scan which showed fluid in my abdomen but it settled down after a few days and I was fine. We had a freeze all cycle due to the risk of OHSS. How are you getting on?

@Birdladybird that must have been frustrating news but an extra couple of days will be worth it if you increase the number of eggs collected 🤞🏼

@Gardenlady543 I had 22 eggs collected and I was very very bloated, I looked about 6 months pregnant so I hardly left the house as I didn't want people to see me thinking I might have got pregnant in lockdown!! I often had a hot water bottle and I drank a lot of water which seemed to help a bit! Get your comfy clothes out and don't feel bad about chilling on the sofa a lot

@BonTon I’m ok thanks. Egg collection is booked for Thursday which I’m starting to get really nervous about. I have A LOT of follicles and they said they may have to do a freeze all due to the OHSS risk. I’m feeling really panicky about the OHSS to be honest. I have zero bloating at the moment even though I have so many follicles and some discomfort from my ovaries getting so big. I’m disappointed about potentially having to do a freeze all.

@ivfjourney5 oh that’s interesting to know, I didn’t realise the bloating could get so bad, definitely something I’ll look out for. Luckily as it’s lockdown I can avoid everyone! There’s nothing to do at the moment anyway. I’ve moved onto wearing dresses from today, I normally wear leggings and felt a dress would relive a bit of pressure. I wasn’t sure about heat as the clinic told me I definitely couldn’t use my layzspa because of the heat. I haven’t taken any painkillers, I guess a bit of paracetamol if needed would be ok though if I need it.

Welcome @Gardenlady543 👋 That is a huge AFC! Sounds really uncomfortable 💐 I was verging on OHSS after my EC in January and would definitely advise plenty of rest, keep on top of the paracetamol and drink plenty of water/hot herbal teas (helps disperse the accumulating fluid faster, apparently).
