Hi ladies, I’ve been through all of my fertility screening tests etc and am due to start my first and hopefully only round of IVF (positive vibes Smile ) soon. I’m looking to share my hopes, experiences and tips and provide support to anyone else expecting to start a cycle soon. The more the merrier!

@Dinky06 woohoo!!!!!

I love reading these positive results. I hope everyone who has tested positive has successful healthy pregnancies.

For those of us not there yet, I hope they are encouraging that it is possible ☺️

Dinky06 · 29/10/2020 11:12

Thank you ladies, means a lot xx Blood test scheduled for tomorrow morning which I'm also going to use as an opportunity to ask about my continued OHSS. I still look and feel like I did pre EC!

How are others doing today? Sending love and positive vibes to all xxx

@unknownscot P.S. in case you haven't been on Norethisterone before, I found the mood swings quite extreme and I felt quite flat at times. I think it's quite common so be kind to yourself x

Lolly2020 · 31/10/2020 16:26

Sorry to those who have had bfn or not worked out. So crappy!!! Xxx

unknownscot · 01/11/2020 11:21

@Sunbird24 I'm on them for 10 days - been on them before for egg collection prep. Luckily I'm okay on them. X

MrsEminem · 02/11/2020 10:12

Hi all I hadn't posted before but have been lurking. I am 3dp5dt fet, and I stupidly decided to test this morning with an internet cheapie knowing full well it would be too early to detect anything, and now I am feeling a tad depressed. Anyone have any tips to not go insane? It been a long journey for us and can't shake the feeling it won't work because I am plagued with bad luck.

Sunbird24 · 02/11/2020 11:10

Don’t worry, I did exactly the same, knowing full well it would be negative because it was just too soon, and of course it was. We do strange things to ourselves don’t we? However I did get a positive for my OTD and am now 5+5 and stressing about the next hurdle which is the 8 week scan at the clinic!

Just make sure you’re drinking plenty of water, eating as healthily as you can and taking your folic acid, there’s nothing else we have any control over. All the very best of luck!

Dinky06 · 02/11/2020 14:43

@MrsEminem I fully agree with @Sunbird24 - use the group to rant away at especially when it feels all a bit too much. Sending you lots of luck and positive vibes for the coming days xx

@Sunbird24 how are you getting on? I'm super nervous about scan day as well. I have my first one on the 13th.

Hope everyone is keeping well especially as lockdown 2.0 looms xxx ❤️

@Sunbird24 and @Dinky06 thanks for the reassurance I am trying my best regards drinking more and eating better but it can he hard for me due to issues I had in childhood.
I tested again this morning and I could see the faintest of squinty lines. But my tests are only internet cheapie's not early indicater tests. So going to test again in a couple of days and hopefully will see a better line. My OTD is sunday, and I have a blood test at the hospital on Tuesday morning.

MrsEminem · 06/11/2020 08:45

Quick update did another test this morning and got a darker positive. So happy and excited, but also nervous and scared at the same time. Going to test again on Sunday as that's my OTD and then I have a blood test Tuesday.

Dinky06 · 06/11/2020 10:22

@MrsEminem awwww that's v good news! Congrats xx

Hi Ladies, I wonder if any of you would be so kind as to share the timeline if you had a long protocol?
I'm due to start IVF next month and trying to work out when to book A/L. If you had long protocol how many days/weeks down reg, how many Stims so I can work out when to book A/L for EC.
Also from what I'm reading do you sometimes take the down reg and Stims medication at the same time? Think that's what may be confusing me..

Dinky06 · 09/11/2020 10:28

Hi @Kiza I was on the short protocol so afraid I'm not aware of the timings for long. The one thing to bear in mind is that how long you need to stim for will vary depending on how your follicles are developing so it could take more / less time. Hope the treatment goes well for you xxx

Hi guys. A wee update from me - I'm on day 4 of fyremadel and progynova.

The progynova is making me so nauseous but other than that I'm okay.

I'm in for an endometrial lining scan on Friday 20th, that will be CD11.
Roughly what CD was your day 5 FET?

X

Dinky06 · 15/11/2020 10:57

@unknownscot awww that's exciting. Sorry you're feeling a bit rough but fingers crossed, it will all be worth it!
Dates wise I can't remember the CDs so if it helps I started injecting on Tues 29 Sept, did the trigger shot on Thurs 8 Oct, egg collection on Sat 10 and then five day transfer on Thurs 15. I then did my home test on the 29th.
Shout if you have any other questions! Xx

Thanks @Dinky06

It's a bit different with FET, as no trigger etc. Hope you're doing well x

Hello ladies following this thread, my wife's ivf tested positive since last week Friday. My question is, is it mandatory to get a blood test done. We called our fertility clinic and they have only booked scan on the 7th Dec. We are ivf funded by NHS at Hammersmith hospital.
