Hi ladies, I’ve been through all of my fertility screening tests etc and am due to start my first and hopefully only round of IVF (positive vibes ) soon. I’m looking to share my hopes, experiences and tips and provide support to anyone else expecting to start a cycle soon. The more the merrier!

@Lolly2020 did you have a consultation with doc and nurse and if so when?

@Freya2015 we had a consultation in August to approve us for IVF. Then we had one with the nurse at beginning of Oct. All clinics are different though. Its best to talk to them about waiting times etc. I would just call them to check the next step.

@Freya2015 agree with @Lolly2020, best to ask your chosen clinic about expected timelines.

I had my first appointment with the dr on 19 May, felt like forever to get all my tests done and be approved but I started injections on 04 Sep, which was day 21 of my next cycle after approval.

@Sunbird24 and @Lolly2020 thank you for getting back to me. I had my hycosy on the 8th September then she told us she will be putting us on ivf and i had go get a blood test done which took three weeks to come back.

Morning ladies, today is my OTD and pretty sure I'm out, FRER still has VERY faint line (been the same every day since Friday) and clear blue has nothing.

Patiently waiting for my clinic can open at 8am so I can get their advice but I'm not holding out much hope.

To make matters worse I've got the dreaded coronavirus. After pretty much shielding for most of my treatment I went out for lunch last Saturday and back to work last week, at some point along the line picked it up. Started feeling like I had a cold Thursday, lost my smell Friday so got a test and it came back positive over the weekend. I wonder if it stopped our little embryo bedding in properly? Luckily I don't feel any worse than a normal cold, but dealing with a failed cycle and covid is not how I wanted 2020 to end 😭

@lucyinthe what a rubbish time you’re having, I’m so sorry. I can see a hint of vertical line on the clearblue but it is very faint. Have you managed to speak to the clinic yet?

Morning ladies, iv tested early, Thursday is OTD, it’s very very faint, do you think it’s right? Want to say it’s positive but also so scared to say it out loud, this is my last go, I have no more eggs left, just don’t want to get excited just in case xxx

@lucyinthe good luck with the clinic, fingers crossed for FRER, such bad timing with covid, would be hard to handle at anytime but you really didn’t need it now! Hope your feeling better xxx

I'm beginning to get really nervous now about testing on Thursday morning 😝

Hi ladies, thank you, yes I have 30 or so other test lol, I shall do another one in morning, I believe I have implantation bleeding today, or at least I hope it’s that! Xxx

@Jewel2110 I think I've just been petrified of an early false positive or negative result 🙈 so decided it would be emotionally easier to wait until OTD. I did though count how many tests I have at home (9 Clearblue ones!) over the weekend.

I've seen a lot of people have used FRER, are they meant to be better to use? Interested in people's thoughts.

I believe the FRER one detect 10/20 mlu HCG, I’m not sure what level clear blue is sorry, does it say on packet ? Xxx

Afternoon ladies, sorry to bore you with another test! This mornings results, trying to not get to excited but so pleased I can see two lines, preying there’s still two lines tomorrow, then it will feel real, is anyone else texting this week? I know @Dinky06 is also tomorrow, hopefully we will all get our wish xxx

Well treatment is cancelled... outbreak of covid at the clinic. I'm absolutely devastated for being cancelled for a second month on the run. I'm also angry as it should be a covid secure place, how the hell have numerous members of staff all caught it!!

@ivfjourney5 completely understand why you would feel angry and devastated, it takes such a lot of mental energy to gear yourself up for every round, takes over your world! Have they given you a new date to start, hopefully next month xxx

@ivfjourney5 I'm really sorry to hear that, such frustrating news. I hope the new (Covid secure) start date comes around soon.

In other news, I managed to wait to OTD but it did involve a 5am wake! I have the loveliest news, whatever the future holds, for now we are pregnant 🥰 Thank you to everyone for all the kind, supportive and informative messages over the past couple of months now xxx
