Hi, I’ve just taken my first cycle of Clomid and I’m on Day 10 of my cycle. We’ve been TTC for 21 months and this is our first go at treatment. Wondering if anyone else is cycling at a similar time? X

Finished my provera tonight so just waiting for af to arrive and then I'm stating letrozole 7.5mg. I didn't ovulate on 100mg or 150mg clomid so they are giving my 3 cycles on letrozole and it's shown to work better for PCOS. If that doesn't work then it will be IVF in the new year. Hope everyone is ok x

Has anyone else suffered horrendous insomnia from 100mg dose of Clomid? I'm exhausted, but go to bed and i just can't sleep. Its driving me potty!

Gee1235 · 28/11/2020 19:13

@Bec18x good luck hopefully you will have more luck with the letrozole!!! X

@rungirl I don't sleep very well for a couple of days while I'm taking it and for about a week after but not sure wether it's just sleeping bad or cause it's give me proper bad hot flushes which wakes me up 😂 but either way very annoying! X

@FieldsAndSun hi there
Just read your post and thought I d ask you where you are with the treatment.
I started on clomid and did not respond so got moved straight to letrozole. Had my first cycle but did not work. I did not take the trigger shot first time though. I will start another cycle next month letrozole and gonasi trigger shot. How did you cope with the trigger shot? Did you do it yourself? My husband is too scared to do it... :( hence why we did not do for first cycle. Thanks!

@Pcosqueen
Hi, unfortunately 9 cycles of clomid including 3 cycles of clomid with gonasi shots didn't work for us...we are having a break from TTC treatments at the moment but are thinking to move onto IVF in October...
I would say that the injections didn't hurt at all a, the needle is thin and you barely feel it...I was pleasantly suprised about how easy it was, DH said that if we end up doing IVF in October we can view the injections as just another part of our daily routine, like brushing our teeth or having a shower...I like that idea, makes it not feel like such a big deal...
The best of luck, I really hope the shots works for you x

@FieldsAndSun lovely to read your reply thank you. It gives me reassurance that the shots are no big deal. I was sorry to read that the treatments on clomid did not work. I started on clomid for 1 cycle and didn’t respond so got moved straight to letrozole. Starting my 2nd cycle now with plenty of hot flushes. I also told my husband that if the treatments did not work out I would give my body a break before moving to IVF. I hope you are well

Pcosqueen · 08/06/2021 21:47

@Bec18x hi, how did the letrozole treatment go? Did you have the gonasi shots too? Starting my 2nd cycle on letrozole and clomid did not work for me

SammyG0303 · 09/06/2021 07:30

@Pcosqueen hey! I have been on letrozole now for 3 months, took 2 months to find my balance dose but it has been making me ovulate now. Only side effects I get are those hot flushes!!! I'm going to have 3 more months on this and if not successful then I have been recommended ovarian drilling or IVF. Hope the Letrozole works for you 🤞🏻 xx

Hey
Is this thread still active?

Starting our clomid journey next month 😊
X

Bec18x · 09/06/2021 09:20

@Pcosqueen unfortunately Letrozole and clomid didn't work for me so I'm just working on losing weight now and we are being referred for IVF x

Hi 👋
I have PCOS and am doing ovulation induction with letrozole and ovitrelle trigger shots. Just heading into month 3. Had no side effects and the injection isn’t too bad - just stings a bit and I get my husband to do it! I think we’re planning on keeping going for another three months but if we don’t get anywhere this month I might request a HyCoSy to check my tubes too. The most difficult bit is the emotional side I think. I let myself get my hopes up for the first time in ages last month which was hard!

Pcosqueen · 09/06/2021 22:03

@Flowersandfireworks hi, that’s great to hear you are not suffering from side effect with letrozole 💪🏼 - starting my 2nd cycle on letrozole and on day 5 of my cycle now and getting a scan next week to decide when / if injection
I agree with you the emotional load is very tough, harder than expected tbh - regular crying but I feel better now thanks to my husband who is so supportive and we are trying to stay pragmatic and see what happens - keep 💪🏼
