Hi, I’ve just taken my first cycle of Clomid and I’m on Day 10 of my cycle. We’ve been TTC for 21 months and this is our first go at treatment. Wondering if anyone else is cycling at a similar time? X

@SammyG0303 hey! I'm doing clomid privately while I wait for my nhs refferal! I spoke with my consultant who would also be my consultant on the nhs too which is why we chose him and he said it clomid is an option they will obviously make you try that on the nhs first before ivf etc I was also worried that it we went private it would affect nhs funding. It doesn't affect it by doing clomid it just means you skip that step on the nhs and then they will look at next steps it's only when you start paying for your own ivf that it effects the nhs funding for it! @Gee1235 hi! Thanks for your reply and that's really reassuring to know. Can I ask how you found the same consultant as NHS and also a rough idea on the costs privately?
I don't really have any experience on this but would 8 months be too soon for Clomid? 🙂 x

@SammyG0303 if you look at your CCG for your county you can find the fertility guidelines and it'll show what hospital or clinic you would be referred to and then we just contacted one or the clinics we could choose from! Some countys only have one others have a few. The actual medication itself is cheap but you have to pay for the follicle tracking on the first round and every time they have to up your dose to check what's going on and they will want to do initial test (blood word and internal scan etc) were just doing our second round of clomid and we've probs spent 2500ish so far. And as for the 8 months I'm not really sure they are recommend trying for a year before but if your not ovulating regularly then obvs makes it harder x

Hey ladies how's everyone getting on?

Had my third follicle tracking scan and good news this month the 100mg clomid and metformin seems to have worked and I have a 21mm follicle if no positive OPK by Friday il go back in for another scan and a trigger shot so at least I'm in for a chance this month 🤞🏽!

I am 10dpo today, period due sun/mon...no doubt it will come. I have stopped getting my hopes up now!! I honestly think i need the hsg to check my tubes but with covid kicking off again I have a feeling that I won't get it x

@Sarah5678 thank you 😊! Hoping my body can ovulate on its own today or tomorrow as if I have to have the trigger it means I have to go back in for mointering next month which is more money but so happy at least my body is doing something this month instead of being lazy 😂

My body finally managed to ovulate Thursday so didn't need the trigger luckily so will go in Thursday for blood test to confirm ovulation and now officially in the tww!! X

@Gee1235 I had spotting yesterday and cramping this morning so think af will arrive today ergh!

@Sarah5678 nooo 😩 hoping it hasn't arrived for you! What's your next step again will you carry on with clomid while you wait for your hsg?

Yeah thankfully at least something positive happened this month as it's been almost 2 years now of constant disappointment so one step in the right direction I guess! X

It has defo arrived haha, nevermind! Yeah I will start 4th round of clomid tomorrow then telephone appt with consultant on 30th and hopefully will get booked in for a hsg. It's been over two years and I feel like I need actual investigations now instead of just trying meds x

@Sarah5678 ah so rubbish but at least you have your consultation soon so hopefully can talk through getting some investigations booked in! Just feels like constant waiting doesn't it x

Any advice?

I definitely ovulated 24th Oct from Lh peak, temp and progesterone bloods, first round of clomid. Period is 2 days late and multiple bfn on test not even hint of a line 😔

I'm guessing there is no chance I'm pregnant, so does clomid mess with cycle length?

@babybumpfor2020 not too sure about wether it can make your cycle longer but have seen a few women say they've had the same happen to them! X

Morning @AMMB, on cd8 2nd round of clomid -had a lot of period like cramps everyday which didn't have last month.

@babybumpfor2020 I'm cycle 2 also. Ovulated early and still no period, two BFN on FRER. Waiting on docs call with day 21 results. Such a waiting game x

@AMMB how early did you ovulate? You been tracking with bbt and lh sticks?

My temp is higher than normal, so hot in bed and getting sweaty with mild exercise 😅

@bumpbumpfor2020 day 10 I got a peak on clear blue so day 10 or 11. I'm now on day 30. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@AMMB @babybumpfor2020 cycle day 27 and 11 dpo for me deffo ovulated this month according to my progesterone test so just a waiting game for me now but not feeling very positive as per 😂! Fingers crossed for you both!! X

@Gee1235 what day was your progesterone test?
Mine was on day 22 but I According to clear blue ovulated on day 10/11. Doc called earlier and said I didn't ovulate??

@AMMB I got my peak on cd15 and my progesterone test was done on cd22 my clinic do it 7 days after peak opk rather than set days of the cycle!

That's weird did they tell you what your level was?

@Gee1235 thank you. That's what m wondering would my levels have started to dip by then 11/12days later 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
First month high levels really good she said and second month doesn't show ovulation.
Strange!! I'm still waiting anyway this is soooooo frustrating x

@AMMB that is so strange maybe your right and they tested to long after your peak opk! It's all so stressful isn't it 😩😩
