Sept IVF/FET

I can’t see a Sept cycle up yet so thought I’d start one. Currently TTC #2. Our March FET was postponed due to Covid and we had a FET in July which sadly resulted in a BFN last week. Had our follow up last night and to our surprise we can try again straight away so signing consents next week and starting down reg in 2.5 weeks. Told the cycle went perfectly and must have been an embryo issue so we aren’t changing protocol but going for double embryo transfer this time. Anyone else looking to cycle/ transfer in Sept? Or am I a bit early/ keen 😂

@poupou I‘m on the same dose as you, and that’s exactly how I take them. These drugs can effect each person so differently so please don’t feel disheartened.
I remember feeling crampy and nauseous but that was just before my lining scan, so I would have been in progynova for more than 3days at that point.

I’m sure everything is working for you! When is your next scan?xx

So the scan went better than I thought... 🤞 she didn’t seem overly concerned about the bleeding but did mention that we may have to freeze any embryos were lucky enough to get while I have a bleed 🙈. Just hoping this isn’t the case 🤞🤞🤞

Hi @poupou I’m on the same dose as you but just on Progynova. I’m now on day 9 of taking them and no side effects. Haven’t had a scan yet so don’t know how a progressing - will know on Monday at first scan!

@poupou I’ve been having a lot of bloating and acid reflux but I’m on a pretty high dose. The last few times I’ve been on oestradiol I didn’t have any symptoms though!

Sorry for anyone I’ve missed. Had lining scan today and they have booked ET for next Fri. Lining was nearly 11.7mm which seemed rather thick to me but clinic seemed happy with it. Has anyone else ever had a lining >11mm before?

Great news @Lemongrass1! Roll on next Friday ☺️ Are you adding in progesterone now? All I know about lining is that my clinic wanted it to be over 8mm so if your clinic seems happy, then it feels like you’re off to a great start x

@Lemongrass1 my lining was 11 something on my last scan before EC. I think it was around that on my first cycle too.

@Fightingtobepositive thats good they don't seem too concerned. 🤞 it does not change the plan for this cycle. Although I dont think a freeze all is a bad option (other than the added time!) People seem to get very good outcomes from FET.

@AutumnHoping. I am thinking exactly as you as I was also a slow responder and hence i am worried but we never know! My lining went from 6 to 11 in 3 days first time! I increased my protein intake, taking l arginine and vitamin e and doing light exercising and some yoga! Wish you the best of luck for monday!
@Lemongrass1 thank you! Hopefully it will be ok! Your lining seems great to me! According to studies between 9 to 14 is great!

It’s BNP, I’m in shock! I was absolutely sure it was going to be negative. I keep checking the test to make sure I saw it right, although the result came up before i’d even finished having a wee.

@UnicornPuff yes it’s better than expected. Although I’m still hoping to get the transfer 🤞 as due to covid already had so much time off work (needed 2 weeks prior to collection/transfer to) but I have heard frozen transfer has good rates. Hey let’s hope we get some nice embryos first I guess 🤞🤞🤞

Can I ask a question all? ...
So I’m on day 11 of stims I won’t be having anymore stims actually and EC Tuesday But my boobs are feeling heavy and my HR is rising by the day which is what usually happens before my period. Has anyone else had ‘period’ symptoms while on these meds?

Thanks @poupou - I’ll look into those. I can’t remember if my lining took time to grow too or just the eggs. The clinic now just doesn’t seem as it was before. Less info, less helpful or something. Annoyed now first scan wasn’t earlier so we had more time to up the dose if needed. Must stop creating problems before they happen 🙈 ugh this overthinking sucks

@Fightingtobepositive yeah my sore boobs started a couple of days before egg collection too. I don't usually get sore boobs until after I've ovulated, but everything was ok.
