Abc IVF

Has anyone recently had IVF with abc IVF? They have approved me for a frozen cycle only at the moment.
Do you know if they are only doing frozen cycles in light of the pandemic.
We have mainly chosen them due to low cost. I appreciate that the low cost means cut backs in certain areas, but I'm often waiting for 1-1.5 hours on the phone to speak to a central phone line for all branches.
It's tricky as I know that IVF is really down to the individuals body response, but I still feel that decisions made by doctors about medication doses etc are important.
Keen to hear about others experiences.

Thank you everyone, oive had the test and awaiting the call this afternoon. I'm not too hopeful though as last night I had some pinkish cm when I wiped and this morning there was brown cm on my liner and a little when I wiped, feel like AF is trying to come :( trying to stay positive but feel like it won't be a huge shock if ita negative.

@Preston12 thinking of you today and hope it all goes well for EC, and Happy Birthday!!

Preston12 · 29/01/2021 12:03

@Beaglemum91 positive vibes for you really wish you the best luck x I’m about 5 mins away from St. Paul’s so wil let you no how it goes xx appointment is 1pm

Beaglemum91 · 29/01/2021 18:50

So its a BFN for me. I think I knew in my heart but its still devastating. They've said they will arrange a review with the Dr and we can try again when we're ready. DH feels bad as were doing it for MFI and has said he wants to get things better with him before we try again but I dont think he realises that it's always 50/50 and just because it didn't work this time it doesn't mean it won't next. Plus we don't know if we can do anything to increase his count and quality and that in itself may be very costly as hes not covered for anything fertility related on the NHS. We're going to book him some more tests and see if we can find anything more out but if not I think we should just go again in a few months and see what happens.

@Preston12 I hope it all went well and you're at home resting.

Positive vibes to everyone else that we all get our BFPs soo !

Ragazzabela · 29/01/2021 19:38

@Beaglemum91 I'm very sorry to hear. Stay strong and be positive. Try and relax and give your body rest so you have same positive vibes when u try next time. Never lose hope. Take care. x

Preston12 · 29/01/2021 20:05

@Beaglemum91 so sorry to here that hun i no how that feels horrible feeling I am very sore bloated and tired I am on antibiotics pain killers cetrotide and blood thinners I was rough after EC I feel my stomach is so bloated and all my organs are stuck together it’s horrible hopefully be able to sleep we collected 9 eggs so wil wait to hear tommorow to see how many have made it through x

Luckfor2021 · 29/01/2021 20:14

@Beaglemum91 so sorry to hear!! Treat yourself to something nice this weekend and try to not overthink it too much. Easier said than done, I know! But you did everything you could and now you should take good care of yourself and get energy to try again! Don’t lose hope! A very close friend of mine needed 3 cycles...got twins after the third and then 2 years later got pregnant naturally! You really never know what’s going to happen. Take care! Xx

@Preston12 I hope you feel better tomorrow and that you can sleep tonight. 9 eggs is a great number!!! Smile

Preston12 · 29/01/2021 20:41

@Luckfor2021 thank you I just don’t understand y they have put me back on cetrotide x

Luckfor2021 · 29/01/2021 20:46

@Preston12 cetrotide is supposed to put the brakes on the growth of follicles..so if you were close to hyperstimulation you might still have some follicles ready to grow more and for safety they are probably trying to stop that from happening. If you feel you need more info from them give them a call tomorrow and I’m sure they will make a nurse call you to explain you things in more detail. Have a good rest tonight! Xx

BRainbow21 · 30/01/2021 07:56

@Beaglemum91 so sorry to hear about your result. But keep your head up and don't loose your hope. We all know that IVF journey is not easy and is not uncommon to need multiple cycles. Your baby will come at the right time

@Preston12 glad to hear about your successful EC. Hope you recover quickly. About the cetrotide I also read somewhere it is given when the doctors are worried about OHHS to "shut" the ovaries so that they can recover better

LeanneRW · 30/01/2021 08:04

Sorry to hear that @Beaglemum91, be kind to yourself this weekend xx

Good news about you egg collection @Preston12 9 is an amazing number xx

I’m waiting for my period this weekend it’s usually like clockwork but now I want it to arrive it’s not here yet. Bizarre when I’ve spent the last year hoping it would be late, I’m feeling apprehensive about all the possible scenarios that could occur while on the medications. Trying to remain stress free Grin

Preston12 · 30/01/2021 08:11

Thanks @Luckfor2021 x

BRainbow21 · 30/01/2021 09:19

@LeanneRW I remember waiting so impatiently for my period too, and thinking exactly the same: for a long time, I've not wanted my AF to show up!!
Everyone is different but I didn't have any major side effects with the injections. Just sore breasts and some bloating but nothing major at all. I really thought it would be much worse from what I had heard about IVF before. But obviously it's nerve racking (all the proccess is!) always thinking if the eggs are growing well, etc etc.. I think all the anxiety/worry starts here and never ends.. Not even when you have that BFP.. Much less when you have a baby 🤭😁

LeanneRW · 30/01/2021 10:18

@BRainbow21 thank you really appreciate that, hoping I’ll be the same, it certainly sounds like one worry after another 😂 xx

Preston12 · 30/01/2021 11:11

Hi out of the 9 6 we’re injected with icis and 3 have made it so far they will call on Monday now do you think that is a good number ? I’m so worried x @LeanneRW good luck
@Beaglemum91 sorry hun chin up xx
@Luckfor2021 thank you xx

edibletreats · 30/01/2021 20:05

@Beaglemum91 so sorry to hear that, hope you have taken it easy today.

@Preston12 I think that’s good. If all develop well then you will have a good shot at a 5day transfer.

Preston12 · 31/01/2021 10:47

@edibletreats I really hope so worrying now as 3 is low from 9 ? X have to wait till tommorow then hopefully can freeze ready for transfer in a few months when I’m feeling better Oshh is horrible on two lots injections everyday since egg collection x couldn’t sleep at all last night x

HopingForRainbow2021 · 31/01/2021 16:52

@Beaglemum91 I am so sorry it didn't work for you this time. I can only imagine how you are feeling. I hope that you have been kind to yourself this weekend, and are getting some tlc. I will be keeping hope for you for next time, whenever that may be.

@Preston12 I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. I really hope that your three are super strong and all able to be frozen ready for transfer in a few months. I can imagine it must be so frustrating to have to wait.

We are so close to be able to begin in 10 days time - we have just got to keep fingers and toes crossed that the frozen sperm transfer happens in time - everything else is in place now - I got the all clear in cervical screening, so very relieved about that. The clinic where sperm is at right now is being really obstructive. I am hoping that we can finally get them to give the courier the green light for transport tomorrow.

Beaglemum91 · 31/01/2021 18:15

Thanks everyone. We're doing okay, made a cheesecake to cheer us up a bit. They said my period would start in a few days but it pretty much started right away after I stopped the pessaries whi h I guess is nice as we can move right on.

@Preston12 3 is still a good number so I have my fingers crossed for you! Hope you start to feel better soon!

@edibletreats @BRainbow21 how are you doing?

Preston12 · 31/01/2021 18:42

@Beaglemum91 thank you fingers crossed for tommorow chin up hun you will get there x

Preston12 · 31/01/2021 18:43

@HopingForRainbow2021 thank you hun and good luck x

BRainbow21 · 31/01/2021 19:12

@Beaglemum91 so nice to "hear" from you. Glad you are treating yourselves.

I unfortunately won't be able to do my blood test tomorrow as planed, my DH just started having covid symptoms 😔 we are self isolating. In the meanwhile I've done a HPT and can see a faint line.. I can't stop myself from being a little excited!! But don't want to get false expectations.. I think I'll just continue testing and see 😬 I will call tomorrow and see what they advise on abc. This really is a non stop worrying journey - new worry every step of the way!

edibletreats · 01/02/2021 10:10

@Beaglemum91 There are not many things that can't be made a little more bearable with cheesecake :) Hope you are doing ok.

I am ok, just counting down the days until Thursday which is when I am booked in for bloods. Have managed to stay away from the pregnancy tests so far - partly because I have this niggling feeling that my period is coming and I don't want to see that bfn...

Still feeling a bit crampy and bloated probably due to the progesterone. I feel like my ovaries are quite swollen and tender. Get sharp pains in the areas I assume the ovaries would be when I make any sudden movements. Thought they would have calmed down given I am over a week from transfer and almost two from trigger shot.

Preston12 · 01/02/2021 11:27

Hi everyone just got a call I have one 7cell grade 1 that they are freezing today and 2 that they are leaving as they are only a 2 cell x does anyone no if the 7cell grade 1 is good as I don’t understand thank you

Beaglemum91 · 02/02/2021 11:08

@BRainbow21 oh no, I hope youre both okay! Have you done another test to see if it's getting darker? So excited for you!

@edibletreats how are you doing today? Keep positive, lots of people get BFP when they think their AF is coming.

@Preston12 on day 3 I had 2 8 cells, a 6 and a 4, they all made it to blast (one 8 cell grade 2 was transfered but I assume it made it to blast as it was already moving to a day 4 cluster), though none were good enough to freeze as I sounded like a couple stopped a day 5 as they let them go to day 6 to be sure. They grade them 1 to 5 with 1 being the best so I would say that's a pretty good one :)

edibletreats · 02/02/2021 16:11

@Beaglemum91 yep feeling ok for the most part. Just the usual tiredness etc.
How are you doing? did you have that review with the doctor?
