@Chatwithme sorry about the non vegan references! Hope you're doing ok today.

ChatWithMe · 03/04/2020 10:20

Thanks Rumtopf. No worries! Smile Feeling much better today actually x

ChatWithMe · 03/04/2020 10:21

Shucks SpyroC. Fingers crossed for tomorrow Star

confused107 · 03/04/2020 12:27

Sorry to see your update @spyroC. I still have everything crossed for tomorrow

Twins2girls · 03/04/2020 15:21

Best of luck for tomorrow @SpyroC 🤞

SpyroC · 04/04/2020 06:58

It's official, bfn for me . Still only spotting but I guess it's just the progesterone holding off af. I hope you have better luck @Robson13 .

Sorry to hear that SpyroC. I know how you feel. Today you'll feel so sad but over a couple of days the sting wears off and you can enjoy a bit of normalcy. At least that's how I feel. I am having gin and tonics this afternoon. Fancy joining me virtually? ;-) Good luck feeling better x

Robson13 · 04/04/2020 08:02

I'm sorry @SpyroC. Same here I'm afraid. I was preparing myself for it but deep down I'd hoped it would have worked this time. Hopefully we'll get to try again.

Pinktruffle · 04/04/2020 08:15

I'm so sorry @SpyroC and @robson13. Try and treat yourselves to something today xxx

I've been having sone spotting through the night. Feeling a bit scared now, I know people say it's normal but this is hows my miscarriage started last time

Twins2girls · 04/04/2020 08:37

So sorry to hear it hasn’t worked for you this time @SpyroC and @Robson13. I know it feels awful right now but over the next few days it will get easier, I promise.

@pinktruffle I really hope the spotting eases and this is just normal. Thankfully you haven’t got long until your scan, it’s next Thursday right?

SpyroC · 04/04/2020 08:42

Thanks all. I'm gutted although I'd pretty much accepted it was over yesterday so it wasn't a surprise. It's felt like my period has been trying to break through all week. The timing of its attempts were in line with my normal luteal phase length too. The crap thing is it looks like we have a quality issue. My reproductive organs seem to be 10 years older than me. I guess I have endo to thank for that. Sad

Did everyone else's clinic tell them to keep using the cyclogest and then test again in 2 days? Feels like I'm prolonging the agony and I kind of just want to move on.

@Robson13 I'm so sorry. Statistically at least one of us should've got a bfp. I had hope too, even though they said my embryo only had a 20% chance. It just felt right. I hope you're ok. X

@ChatWithMe Yes I will certainly join you in a g&t tonight thanks . It's so crap that stupid c19 has denied us our consolation prizes! Is your clinic still doing a review consultation with you? I hope they are doing these remotely but the Drs are probably helping with c19 I imagine.

@Pinktruffle I hate spotting. It's truly the worse. Yesterday I was reading many stories of women experiencing this in early pregnancy and going on to be just fine. But I totally get how you must feel, particularly after a previous mc. I really hope everything is fine and that you manage to keep yourself busy.

OP posts:
Pinktruffle · 04/04/2020 08:52

@Twins2girls yes my scan is on Thursday so not too long to wait but I'm sure it'll feel like an eternity.

Thanks @SpyroC, I'll do my best. It seemed like there was a lot but I think it was all just mixed in with the Cyclogest mess so that may have made it look worse. I'm still feeling nauseous on and off (right now) so hopefully that is a good sign.

Robson13 · 04/04/2020 08:56

@pinktruffle I'm really hoping that everything goes well for you.

Thanks to everyone for their support and I hope that everything goes smoothly for those of you who got your BFP. Those of you who are waiting for your frozen transfer now, I hope to join you whenever that might be.

I'm feeling pretty floored by it all today, IVF really takes it out of you and I feel like my husband and I have been wanting and waiting for such a long time. I'm definitely going to treat myself to a drink tonight but what I could really really do with is a sunny holiday.

Robson13 · 04/04/2020 09:00

@SpyroC I was wondering whether to continue with the tablets and pessaries until af arrives? I can't remember what the hospital said and they are closed today.

confused107 · 04/04/2020 09:02

So so sorry to read your news @Robson13 and @spyroC. It feels so unfair. Be kind to yourselves and take all of the time you need.

@Pinktruffle easier said then done but please try not to panic. My friend had enough spotting to go to the doctor during her pregnancy and it all turned out fine. Fingers crossed for your scan on Thursday. Not long to go now

SpyroC · 04/04/2020 09:10

@Robson13 mine definitely said to continue for 2 days "just in case it was slow". I think the chances of anything happening now are 1% if that! Af blatantly wants a to come I will continue though "just in case" 😒. In your case, if you can't speak to your clinic I'd say it can't hurt to do the same. Especially if you don't have af symptoms. Although I don't know about the tablets as I'm only on pessaries. What was everyone else told?

Thanks @confused107 x

@SpyroC and @Robson13 I'm so sorry to read your news this morning. This whole thing takes so much out of you so be kind to yourselves x

@PinkTruffle FWIW I had mild cramps and 2 days of spotting for the first 4 months when i was pg with my dd. Scared the life out of me but there she was still. It could just be a little bit of spotting mixing with the pessary that's making it look worse than it really is. Take it as easy as pos for the next few days.

Pinktruffle · 04/04/2020 09:40

Thank you all for the kind words. Thank you @rumtopf that's really reassuring. I do think the pessary made it look worse as it was everywhere and wouldn't normally have reached that far. It was most definitely brown but had gone a lighter shade as it was mixed with the pessary mess.

Robson13 · 04/04/2020 09:45

Thanks @SpyroC it's worth taking them I think although I'm not holding out much hope.

Pinktruffle · 04/04/2020 10:16

I've called my clinic and they've said to up my pessary to three times a day and to call on Monday if I need more.

She asked if I was having cramping which I'm not. I asked if I should be worried and she said it is common to have spotting and often things are fine but sometimes the bleeding gets heavier and you can miscarry and to keep an eye out for that. She said if it turns in to bleeding to do another pregnancy test and call them. I only have one pregnancy test left but lots of ovulation sticks, can I use those? They will see me on Thursday for my scan.

ChatWithMe · 04/04/2020 11:10

Shame about the scary spotting Pinktruffle. Hope it's all cleared up by scan day.

Those ovulation strips apparently do work as pregnancy tests but may not be as sensitive so will show a lighter line perhaps. It's cause LH and HCG are both glycoproteins I read. However I think FRERs have a sensitivity of 5mmols but ovulation strips may be 20mmols. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I feel for you Robson13. It sucks a lot and it's just one day at a time from here. I hope the clinics open soon to get on with these frozen embryo transfers.

SpyroC I stopped the pessaries (called vaginal tablets) when I got my period and negative pregnancy test but you do what you feel is best. I'm saving mine for my FET.

I went for a run and it felt refreshing. I'm reclaiming my body back after IVF and it's therapeutic x

SpyroC · 04/04/2020 11:21

@Pinktruffle I've also heard the ovulation strips work. I'd say if you happen to be doing a food shop to buy some new oh tests but I'm guessing your not so perhaps try the lh test and if that's inconclusive you could always send your OH out to get a test.

@ChatWithMe af isn't properly here yet. Still just evil spotting. I am under no illusions that anything will change but my clinic said to continue so I best had. If af turns up they said to stop I think.

My period has arrived today and omg the cramps. My mood is in the floor and this morning especially was terrible. Hormones are horrible.
However, it's another thing to check off in the scheme of things I guess.

PickleKid · 05/04/2020 18:05

I'm so sorry @Rumtopf there's no consolation for an unwanted period and this will be a heavy one literally and emotionally.

Wishing you hugs and sweatpants and for it to pass quickly.

ChatWithMe · 05/04/2020 18:14

Sorry you're in pain Rumtopf. You'll feel much better in 5 days when you clear this lining from your system. Can't wait to get mine out of the way. I'm busying myself with spring cleaning. I always feel great when my house is clean and tidy. Not sure if anyone else feels the same. We all know what brings us joy. Hope you find ways to feel joy too despite the times x
