A new thread to carry on supporting each other as the old one was full.

Wonderful news @granddesigns I'm so pleased for you!

Congratulations @granddesigns ! That is fantastic news. Xx

Thank you all for the well wishes. I got 6 eggs, which was slightly disappointing as I had 10 good sized follicles. I was very relieved to hear 5/6 have fertilised.

Thank you for the messages and good vibes - still feel linked to this thread and like we really began in March (will hopefully be like a year long elephant pregnancy!) - now to get through the next mile stones.

@SpyroC that's great to have 5 that have fertilised. Are you having a fresh transfer soon too?

Report
SpyroC · 19/07/2020 09:14

@Rumtopf we thankfully seem to be ok with fertilisation it was quality on day 5 last time that things took a quality hit. I'm in for a fresh transfer tomorrow. 🤞🏻 I have some higher grades but I will be happy with anything at this point.

Thank you all. I now have 2 not quite blastocysts on board so fingers crossed!

@Rumtopf last time I had similar plus 1 Low grade blastocyst so this round is actually worse in terms of embryo quality. So in my case the uptake of further supplements and an enhanced diet haven't made a difference but that's not to say it won't work for you.

@SpyroC I'm not sure it makes all that much difference either tbh but I certainly feel better (but that's prob just the iron, vit d and c!) although I did indulge in some glorious chips and a small cup of ice cream at the seaside today which was marvellous.

So glad you've got 2 on board! Good luck for testing day.

Just wanted to check in with everyone as this thread has been very quiet. I hope things are ok with you @SpyroC.

I've hit 24 weeks today, officially at the stage of medical viability.... feels like a big milestone.

@Pinktruffle that’s brilliant! It’s nice to have a reminder that this whole crazy process can actually work 😊

I’m booked in for another frozen embryo transfer this month. Last time I did a medicated cycle but this time I’m doing a natural cycle and I’m not really liking the waiting and uncertainty involved. I’m worried I won’t catch the LH surge properly or that I won’t grow a thick enough endometrium, eeeeek!

How is everyone else doing? How are my cycle triplets?

SpyroC · 06/08/2020 13:25

That's fantastic news @Pinktruffle ! You must feel so relieved. Congratulations xx

@CarbsAndCheese good luck for this cycle. I've never had fet but I do like the sound of less drugs.

Sorry for not updating sooner, I have good reason! Basically I'm in limbo. My period came before otd but clinic said to stay on the meds and still test so I did and unbelievably I got a very faint positive on an Asda 25miu (13dp5dt) I just assumed I'd had a chemical. But the following day a frer was as strong as could be and the Asda got a bit darker. My brain has been scrambled since. I have been so worried about an ectopic as I don't get where it can be living if my lining has gone. Yesterday my clinic did a beta which they've said today was 418 which they class as pregnant. The Asda test was again darker. Im back for another test tomorrow to see if it's rising. They've told me to stop poas now. It has been a very challenging week! I just don't know what to think.

Wow that is unusual @SpyroC but a very tentative congratulations. hopefully it wasn't a full bleed and there is still lining for the embie to stick to, you do hear of women who have periods and never realised they were pregnant so fingercrossed. Please keep us posted hope it all works out for you.

@CarbsAndCheese fingercrossed this is a sticky one for you and all your lining etc will be ok. The clinic would only have suggested a non-medicated transfer if they were reasonably confident that your lining etc would be ok I'm sure.

I'm so pleased to see some early good news here @Spyroc! Fingers crossed! @CarbsAndCheese glad to see you're about ready for the next go!

Things are going well. Pregnancy symptoms still mostly heartburn but since this is a close group I feel I can say this here. All these crappy things that are normal but only 10% of women get, I seem to be ticking off.

I think it's because of having elevated hormones from the IVF. Gotten through the piles and leaky nips. Latest is varicose veins... and let's just say they aren't in my legs 😅

Baby is doing well. We are 25 weeks today. I had to redo the 20 week scan yesterday as I moved care. My stubborn boy takes after his Mediterranean dad. 2 hours later, drink/ walk/ pee/ repeat they gave up making him roll over and brought in the old radiologist who managed to get what they needed anyway. Last time was like this too- they say it happens all the time.

Also the round thing I've thought was his head is actually his bum. My partner is thrilled his boy is already trolling me!

She pleased to hear your news @Spyroc it sounds promising and I have everything crossed it all progresses well. Do keep us informed

I'm 23 weeks now, and all seems to be progressing as it should. We have found out it's a little girl. Still can't believe this is happening for us and I hope to keep seeing more good news in this group

How are all you ladies doing in this heat? What little bit of belly button left is a pool and I've got ponds behind each knee. 🥵

Bring on the rain!!

Report
Pinktruffle · 13/08/2020 11:07

Yesterday was awful! 6 months pregnant and 32 degree heat are not a good mix! Luckily, the heat has made me super sleepy so I did manage to sleep last night and wasn't tossing and turning. Cooling down has been so hard!

The rain has cooled it down a little thank God but it's still pretty warm here.

Hope everyone is doing well! Baby had the final growth scan and is taking after my partner. I've ordered the balloon stretching thing as Baby Big Head is 90th percentile on head circumference! 😫

Are you getting the Ani-ball @PickleKid? I've been thinking about getting on of those. I'm still not sure if I'm going to go for an elective C-section or a vaginal birth but if its vaginal, I'll definitely get one, I don't think I can do the perineal massage.

How is everyone else getting on? @SpyroC @Rumtopf @CarbsAndCheese @granddesigns

Thanks for thinking of us @Pinktruffle - knew there must be a thread I didn't update. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage at the end of July but are almost up and running on a new cycle and the final frozen embryo from the first full cycle which they are planning to transfer mid Oct. Hope you are all progressing well - don't keep up to date much with this thread and have had a bit of a pause when we reset so sorry if I've missed anything!

Yep, it's arriving today. For the perineal massage, my partner thought it sounded fun. And then I showed him the picture.

It is from an NHS trust:

I know it will all be worth it but my goodness every step of this journey comes with some weird things!
