@carleygh, I’m starting on menopur injections today after three cycles of clomid (I ovulated on all three) so will let you know if the doctor gives me any more info... the appointment is at midday.

@carleygh yes, positive attitude is the best attitude to have. Although sometimes so hard. I have waves of negativity & positivity. as Iv said before this journey is mentally draining 🙈

@Goingbacktokansascity remember last month my CB opk was flashing all the way through until my period came. I done a opk yesterday .. dont ask why just was intregued to see what happened & it's a empty circle. I know last month the opk detected the rise in oestrogen, That means my oestrogen is Lower this month doesn't it?

@CharlotteCx nope it doesn’t, after ovulation OPKs aren’t accurate. They’re not accurate anyway it gives you a rough indication of levels which are messed up by PCOS and by clomid anyway.

@Goingbacktokansascity yeah you've said they aren't accurate to me before, but I can't say I agree 100% as the first cycle for me using Clomid and opks and having pcos were accurate as bloods confirmed

Yep so like I said before you’re OPK will be positive if you catch ovulation. It may also be positive when you haven’t ovulated. It will be high fertility because it can pick up high background oestrogen or because you’re about to ovulate. I don’t understand why you keep asking me the same questions but wanting me to give different answers? Evidence suggests that they are inaccurate so i can’t tell you if your oestrogen is higher or lower or when you ovulated based on them

No what I said was do you remember last month after I had ovulated the opks were flashing smiley faces until I came on period, and then we said it was because it detects the oestrogen, so what I'm saying is this cycle it's just a empty circle after ovulation and I wonder why last month it was flashing for so long and this month it's empty. So I'm not wanting different answers at all. I know I shouldn't even be doing opks now Iv ovulated (moment of madness)

Just wondering do trigger shots cause false positives on ovulation tests?? I had my first one (after taking clomid) on Wednesday and a positive test Wednesday night and Thursday but wondered if this is just because of the trigger shot? I have a blood test next week so maybe this is the only way to know for sure if it worked?

@Emzolive - no I don’t think so. I think it can give you a false positive on a pregnancy test if you test too early but not on an ovulation test. I was told that if the follicle is over 18mm and you have the trigger shot, it’s 99% likely that you will ovulate in the next 24-36 hours so hopefully you have done 🤞🏻

@carleygh - they’re trying the injections as I produced two follicles on each of the 1st and 2nd cycles of clomid, then only one on the 3rd so I’m responding less well and my issue comes from a problem with my pituitary gland - the injections are better for that apparently. And in light of my age (31), it’s too early to refer to IVF, they wouldn’t accept me without trying the hormone injections first. That is UCLH’s explanation anyway... Hope helpful!

Thank you @BonTon yes the nurse said it would give me a false positive on a pregnancy test but didn't mention about ovulation tests. Hopefully I have ovulated then! 🤞 hope your appointment went well today and best of luck with the injections! X

Everyone seems to be getting pregnant (yay) or moving onto other treatments (yay also because progress) but now I’m lost with who’s doing what

Who else experiences the school glue type consistency CM on CD20? I've got quite a bit of it, looked back this cd last month on my app as I write in symptoms etc daily, and it was supposedly dry.

Yesterday I cried at a colleague in the car park. Today I had a melt down in a restaurant with my friends. I really feel I'm nearing breaking point at the moment. In my pre ttc life I wasn't a crier or stress head. I need to dig myself out of this black hole! I've just ordered a yoga mat and am researching fertility yoga on YouTube! Also bought a healthy cookbook and have been doing quite well eating wise for the past few days as I'm a chocolate addict! I've got my ivf consultation on Monday.

@CharlotteCx sorry, I don't really pay much attention to my cm, except for when it's egg white like.

I'm not on clomid now as it thinned my lining too much. Tamoxifen overstimulated my ovaries so I'm on metformin to just try and regulate cycles. I ovulate anyway and had surgery in July to unblock a tube. I'm a bit of an imposter on this thread now

@Goingbacktokansascity I had bloods done and didn't ovulate on day 15 when I thought I might have, it wasn't a positive opk though, just the darkest of the bunch. But since then I did get a positive opk on cd24. Is this too late to ovulate on clomid? Didn't get much ewcm so not sure if I did.

So short answer, maybe 2 dpo or maybe no ov 🤷‍♀️😂😩

@CharlotteCx I can’t say I do but my CM is non existent most of the time xx
