For anyone who is taking clomid for whatever fertility reason.

@carleygh my scans showed good size follicles and blood tests showed ovulation every month, I was thinking I was just doing everything wrong! I had an IVF information appointment booked, and then got my bfp, so stay positive wishing you loads of luck!! X

@AmyMaria2 how many weeks are you now? I think I have ovulated, as I felt twinges around the time of expected ovulation plus the EWCM. But, ovulation is only the first step! If I don't concieve this month, I am going to order some concieve plus, and then dtd every day from finished period until day after expected ovulation next month and see if that makes a difference! Did you have anything like concieve plus, or preseed?xx

@CharlotteCx I'm 9+5 now! Oh that's good if you've got all the signs, I used preseed. I'm not sure if it made a difference or not but worth a try! X

@AmyMaria2 how lovely, what do you think you'll have?? Yeah I have had all the signs but I doubt I'll fall pregnant this month 🤣 I know they say to be positive, although I have been so much more relaxed this month about the whole situation and haven't put pressure on dtd and I didn't tell my OH when I was ovulating this time and I feel like that made a huge difference! I'm guna get some, worth a try isn't it xx

@CharlotteCx I feel like it will be a girl, just because I've had a lot of sickness & really sweet cravings but that could all be coincidence haha. Yeah I always found not telling dp when I was ovulating put less pressure on him, try dtd every day in your fertile window next month, I did on the last cycle. Yes worth giving preseed a go xx

@AmyMaria2 will you find out what your having or you going to leave for a surprise? Yeah; it's worked sooo much better this month! Last month cos it was my first, I was so nervous of missing ovulation etc cos I didn't know when I'd be ovulating and I kept putting so much pressure on him and non stop going on and on about having sex. But this month Iv literally just not said a word about ovulation and we've just dtd every 2 days I think it is, Yes next month I'll deffo do it every day during fertile window! Xx

@CharlotteCx yeah I'll definitely find out, I'll be 16 weeks a few days before Christmas so thinking of doing a Christmas Day gender reveal lol. Yeah sounds like this months been a lot better for you, hopefully you get good blood results! xx

@AmyMaria2 omg that will be amazing!!! Have you told any of your friends your expecting yet? Yes, agreed this month has been better. Only dtd twice last month in fertile window. This time Iv done It times but if I don't fall this month next month will be even better for me as I know that the more calm approach works so much better with OH! Xxx

I got my period this morning . I'm going to try and be healthier this cycle, I just ate loads of leafy greens with macaroni cheese.

Update: she’s almost certain not cancer so can continue on fertility treatment! And a nice 16mm follicle or corpus luteum.

@CharlotteCx I’ll just continue for the next 5 months CD 2-6 As before although today the gynaecologist did say she was happy for me to be on it for 12 months if I don’t get pregnant which puts a bit less strain on saving for IVF!

@Goingbacktokansascity if after my time is up with Clomid and I still haven't fallen pregnant - could I request to be put on Letrozole?

@CharlotteCx if clomid is making you ovulate they wouldn’t put you on letrozole I don’t think, it would suggest something else might be the issue.
This is second cycle for me! I imagine next step after clomid is ivf for you but they may try IUI first

@Goingbacktokansascity I have had all the necessary tests, it is just lack of ovulation due to pcos for me, Don't know why I'm thinking that far ahead anyway, I've still got a long time on Clomid. I think I would still ask though if at the end of Clomid I still hadn't fallen, see what they say! don't ask don't get 😉

What cd are you on now? What a relief for you! Let's hope we all get our bfps soon!!!

@CharlotteCx cycle day 15! I’ll test on 18/11 I think!
I think the rational the consultants use is that if you’re ovulating on clomid and not getting pregnant, by going on letrozole it’s essentially just doing the same thing and hoping for a different result, by escalating to IUI/IVF it’s going to give you a higher chance.
I was in the opposite situation to you where I begged for NHS funded IVF when clomid failed because the success rates are double and if I wanted to have future siblings hopefully I’d have some in the freezer and just have to pay transfer costs

@Goingbacktokansascity have you still been dtd through your cycle even though U had the mass? Oh so you'll be testing soon! are you feeling any different, feeling any symptoms etc?

Yeah I get ya, but they say that a normal healthy couple it can take up to a year to concieve naturally. I'm on Clomid for 7 months - if I don't concieve in them 7 months I might ask my gynae to put me on Clomid for a year too cos I have heard they can do that. I just feel like it'll give me that bit of extra time. I'm just thinking out of the box really, hopefully it won't even come to that and I'll concieve this month lol! I feel really sick today & have a huge headache. But I have got a chest infection so it is probably that.
