Hi all

I recently had a mmc from my first IVF cycle and am waiting for AF to appear (probably 3-4 weeks away) so we can do FET. I think we'll probably go for a natural cycle but am waiting for some information from my clinic to make a final decision. Had follow up consultation yesterday and will be having nurse consultation in the next couple of weeks hopefully. If anyone is happy to share their FET experiences I'd love to hear them. A little worried that a natural cycle might be the wrong choice. Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me for some support then join the thread.

@LillyLeaf I'm 6dp5dt so very early really. I hope everything goes perfectly next Friday. Not long to wait now!

@Marmite83 I worry about that so much about peeing myself. This is far TMI I'm sorry but when waiting for my transfer I really needed to poo Blush. Pooing and not peeing at the same time is one of the most difficult things I've done throughout this entire process!!! Then to make it all worse they told me it didn't even matter about how full my bladder was anyway because my uterus is retroverted

Marmite83 · 31/10/2019 16:17

@updownleftrightstart I'm sorry, that did make me chuckle so thanks for that Smile. I feel like that is almost impossible to do! I have a retroverted uterus too but still had to have a full bladder, strange Confused

I'm officially PUPO! Transfer went well, was also genuinely concerned I would wet myself. They gave me a picture of the embryo and when I said I didn't have one of my daughter as an embryo they found the one on file for her so I do now Smile

updownleftrightstart · 31/10/2019 16:48

Yay! Fingers crossed @justtheonethen glad everything went well and that you didn't actually wet yourself either Grin

That's really nice they managed to give you one from your DD too. I think it's awesome that the first picture I have of DD is before she was even in my tummy! Unfortunately almost no one knows she was an IVF baby so I can't get it printed super large and displayed on my wall like I want to

Marmite83 · 31/10/2019 17:05

Fab news @justtheonethen, so lovely that they gave you one of your daughter too. Hope the tww goes quickly for you. I'll be two days behind you. When's your OTD?

I saw the other day that there's someone who does watercolour art of embryos but they were pretty expensive. Quite nice though.

Russkispy · 31/10/2019 17:31

@justtheonethen hope tww is gentle to you!
@LillyLeaf glad the scan went well and Giuseppe got transfer date! Will be crossing everything for you!
@Marmite83 will be also crossing everything for you!

justtheonethen · 31/10/2019 17:57

@updownleftrightstart I just said to DH it's going on the wall!

@Marmite83 the 11th. I won't last that long though. I saw that art too. Nice idea.

@Russkispy Smile thank you

Marmite83 · 31/10/2019 20:47

My OTD is 11th too @justtheonethen!

justtheonethen · 31/10/2019 21:19

@Marmite83 ooh hope it's a lucky day for us both!

Marmite83 · 31/10/2019 21:30

Fingers crossed! It's actually the due date anniversary of my first mmc 4 years ago so would be lovely to get some positive news to remember on that date too.

Tentative congratulations @updownleftrightstart! Also good to hear yours is on board @justtheonethen, I love the idea of those embryo photos.

Been following the discussion on test dates and testing out the trigger. I think I am going to hold off from testing until OTD, I'd rather just keep my head in the sand. Am I correct in thinking that if you're on the progesterone pessaries, you won't get your period until you stop them?

Glad your lining is good and you have your transfer date @LillyLeaf. I had my second scan yesterday too and all is OK, plus ovulated earlier than expected so no trigger and they've brought forward the transfer to next Wednesday, so really close to yours. My OTD isn't until 12dp5dt, so it'll be a long wait!

Good luck tomorrow @Marmite83, keeping my fingers crossed for you, hope it all goes swimmingly!

Marmite83 · 01/11/2019 11:09

Thanks @mincedpea, the progesterone pessaries definitely stop my period but I don't think it's the same for everyone.

Also, hope this doesn't upset or offend anyone, but I heard about this article the other day on the sadness of miscarriage, and thought I'd share it here in case it brings anyone any comfort.

mincedpea · 01/11/2019 11:13

Thanks @Marmite83, that's what I'd suspected. I was trying to figure out why they'd given me a test date after my expected period date...maybe they just want to be extra cautious. In the past I'd used BBT to know when I was out of the game, rather than testing, but I've just read temping doesn't work during IVF either.

Betsyboo87 · 01/11/2019 13:12

Hey just catching up on the thread and how you’re all doing.

@Russkispy congrats! Lovely news. I hope you’re feeling well.

@sometimesalways @justtheonethen exciting that you have your embryos onboard. Fingers crossed for more bfps.

@LillyLeaf @Marmite83 @mincedpea best of luck for your transfers. I’m sure they’ll go smoothly.

@updownleftrightstart looks like a bfp to me! Have you tested again?

I had my 6 week scan today and got to see a little heart beating. It was a huge relief and I’ve had a few issues with bleeding over the last couple of weeks and my anxiety has been crazy. Hopefully I can start to relax now.

Marmite83 · 01/11/2019 15:40

That's fantastic news @Betsyboo87! Do you have another scan booked or will it be 12 weeks next?

BettySwoll0cks · 01/11/2019 17:36

Hello everyone, congratulations @Russkispy and fx for you @justtheonethen and @sometimesalways - delighted to see the positive news, it's very encouraging too!

I had my day 8 scan today (short protocol, so the first look at how my ovaries are responding to the Bemfola). It's all going a bit bonkers in there, loads of follicles maturing and some 16/17mm already so they're looking at doing the trigger shot on Monday and retrieval on Weds. Bit worried about OHSS tho so going to back off on the Bemfola a bit. Feeling like I'm going to explode at any moment....!

Hope you all have a great weekend xx

Ps I miss wine!! Wine

Russkispy · 01/11/2019 19:51

Well, ladies, there's always something.

Earlier on felt “wet” and sure of sure, brown-ish discharge in my knickers. Panicked and put a pad on. Had a wash. watery brown, dark brown watery blood. Nothing on the pad. Just had a shower and the same. Contacted my coordinator and she told me to stay calm and that’s “normal” and hopefully passes. But keep monitoring the “situation”.

I quit! I can’t be stressing as I was in July/August when naturally pregnant but had similar situation from 6 weeks onwards till miscarriage at 7.

So I quit. Not googling. Not worrying. Not stressing. What will be will be.

DH smashed the wall at work when I told him. I just "resigned". I'm around 4w5d. Is it too early for bad news?! I don't know. I refuse guessing all the time all scenarios! Time will tell.

I don't even know why I'm sharing on here. So don't feel too lonely?! Thank you for reading x

justtheonethen · 01/11/2019 20:20

@Russkispy sending hugs to you. What a horribly uncertain time. I will keep everything crossed for you Thanks

justtheonethen · 01/11/2019 20:21

@BettySwoll0cks great news! Hope you don't get OHSS just loads of lovely eggs.

Betsyboo87 · 01/11/2019 21:05

@Russkispy this was me just over a week ago. My clinic also said it could be normal and fortunately it has now stopped. It lasted about 8 days and I had a couple of light red bleeds too. You have the right attitude about staying calm. I got myself so worked up about it and really wish I hadn’t. Fingers crossed for you.

@Marmite83 thanks! My clinic will scan as much or a little as I like so I’ll probably do at least one more before 12 weeks. I don’t want to rely on it for reassurance but good to know it’s available.

Russkispy · 01/11/2019 21:11

@Betsyboo87 thank you! How many weeks were you then? Glad all is well after that worrying period!

justtheonethen · 01/11/2019 21:13

@Betsyboo87 sorry I missed your lovely scan news Smile

sometimesalways · 01/11/2019 21:49

@Russkispy I think your approach is amazing. I try to have the same (but don't always succeed!) And actually, I have a friend who this happened to and now she has a lovely 2yo girl. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! All is most definitely not lost.

@Marmite83 good luck for tomorrow! How are you feeling?

@LillyLeaf I understand your worry about thawing but it is I believe very rare that they don't survive the thawing process so there's every reason to be optimistic

@justtheonethen yay for little embie on board, good luck! How are you feeling?

@mincedpea oooh things are progressing fast, sounds great. Keep us posted

@Betsyboo87 that's wonderful! A heart beat is a huge step

@BettySwoll0cks good luck.
And yes I know exactly what you mean... i miss a drink too!

It's 9dp5dt tomorrow for me but I have decided (so she says) to stop worrying and just wait patiently for OTD. Nothing will change anyway.
Also I think my period would be due over the weekend normally. Although doubt anything will happen either way due to the progesterone...

Russkispy · 01/11/2019 21:52

@sometimesalways thank you! Only time will tell. Nothing I can do but wait and see what happens next.
Hope you can still wait out till OTD. Crossing everything for you!
