I'm a right mess. Turns out I was woefully under prepared for ivf actually working. I don't have a script for it... The fact I've got something to lose now is just too overwhelming.
Scan tomorrow at 6+1. Not v hopeful tbh.

@AliceAbsolum I felt that way too! I actually felt like I had prenatal depression at one point as I just couldn't get my head around it. Please talk to people especially your other half, it really does help to talk and just remember you have been through so much. It's very natural for things to hit you all at once and very easy to brush things under the carpet.
Remember IVF was a part of your journey. You are not IVF.
I'm feeling and sending hopeful vibes to you for tomorrow, everything will be okay xx

Russkispy · 21/11/2019 15:01

@Hopingforbabyd congratulations on the boy news! Enjoy the party on Sunday and hopefully then the news sinks in properly! Going to reflexology on Saturday. Always found it very relaxing! And looking for a new acupuncturist.

@AliceAbsolum sorry you're feeling this way and I'm sure everything will be ok tomorrow. Fingers crossed and will be thinking of you

@Viletta glad the councilor is helping. And I always thought we needed to balance IVF/DE with other aspects of our lives. I know it's easy said than done. But after this last miscarriage I feel I've distanced myself from DE malarkey. I know I've got tests next month. But I feel absolutely nothing towards it and that's including next transfer. Just empty and indifferent.

AliceAbsolum · 21/11/2019 16:16

Thank you ladies. I think if it's viable tomorrow it'll take a bit of the edge off.

@Russkispy I felt the same way in my last round - detached and a bit numb.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have and IVF support center with nutritionist, councilor, acupuncture, yoga, reflexology, emergency help center all under one roof?

@AliceAbsolum do you have any reasons to be worried? I hope it goes well tomorrow! Nerve wrecking wait!

AliceAbsolum · 21/11/2019 17:16

@Viletta Absolutely none! Not a whiff of blood, no cramps, just increasingly dark lines on tests and pregnancy symptoms.
But loads of people don't find out they have miscarried until they have a scan, so I have no idea how you're meant to even slightly relax?!

@AliceAbsolum sorry the anxiety has set in - I'm sure the scan will be fine tomorrow, sending you positive thoughts

@Hopingforbabyd ahh team blue, how exciting! Congratulations xx

AliceAbsolum · 21/11/2019 17:30

Thanks @Twiglet2353 x Do you know roughly what % of miscarriages are missed? Sorry to ask a sensitive question I just think knowledge is power and I can't find the answer on le Google.

@AliceAbsolum good to hear you symptoms are all good ones. I hope everything goes really well tomorrow and it'll give you a little bit of peace of mind. My only advise is to try and distract yourself and try not to read too much internet on miscarriages and other complications. Easier said than done for sure.

Twiglet2353 · 21/11/2019 17:54

@AliceAbsolum going by the 12-week dating scan very few are missed, as most women present with symptoms beforehand. I know statistically the miscarriage rate drops significantly once a heartbeat and normal growth has been detected at 8 weeks.

Someone sent me this link early on in my pregnancy - not for everyone but I found the statistics when phrased the way they do far more reassuring datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

Please let us know how you get on x

AliceAbsolum · 21/11/2019 18:04

Checking that link everyday Hmm I'm relatively level in life but this has turned me into someone I barely recognise atm.

Thank you ladies for your help and advice xx

Wesstywoo · 22/11/2019 17:06

@AliceAbsolum so pleased! Congratulations!!!

@WorriedButterfly how are you feeling? I've felt rough all day, I'm sure it's the drugs!

WorriedButterfly · 22/11/2019 17:41

Urgh - in a word, the DHEA makes me feel really tired by the evening anyway. (I can't wait to have non greasy hair again!) I was very heady yesterday and think I feel a bit sicky today but don't know if it's all in my head! I am really trying to be head strong and positive that I can do this! But the gremlins are there constantly trying to tell me otherwise! I have to cancel my sis tomorrow (as she doesn't know and I started earlier than expected) which is also stressing me out - which is weird as it is justifiable and wouldn't normally but I think it's all getting to me a bit! I hope you start to feel better, drink plenty and have a chilled weekend. X

Wesstywoo · 22/11/2019 19:38

@WorriedButterfly I'm the same - headache, light headed feeling and feel really sick! I want to go to bed but I'm too worried to miss my injection time. I'm trying to be positive too but one day at a time - we can do this!!! Hope you feel better tomorrow x
