@WorriedButterfly I do too ❤️ all is good here little man is 7 months old now and can't quite believe it. Feels like we've had a little taste of normal life then back into lockdown. Very hard and my anxiety is crazy but we're okay. How are you doing with lockdown 0.2?

@AliceAbsolum yes I'd love to know too. Did you get to go in the van before lockdown? I'm interested to see how you're getting on ☺️

Hello ladies, I do like the way this thread carries on, over 1.5 years now. Lovely to hear from you.

@Hopingforbabyd feel for you, very tough to have maternity leave during the pandemic. Can't believe he is 7 months!

We did not manage to get out before the 2nd wave, but its actually been a blessing as it would be really stressful trying to travel when its like this. But the house is rented out and we pick up the van soon, so are just keeping the plans loose until we see what the restrictions are like in Jan. Some countries are activity encouraging tourists, like Iceland! Go see the Northern Lights.
Luckily the van is completely off grid so we can go a week or so with water and food and power, so we are hoping to be away from people a lot of the time. Hurry up vaccine!

We have 4 years left on the 4 embryos, so that gives me hope everyday :)

Nice to hear from everyone. I'm still around. Supporting from afar. 😚
In the meantime, my baby boy was born 2 weeks and we're so so in love! The cutest thing ever!
My family is complete despite some frosties are still in the freezer. I'm already 44 and just want to enjoy my family now without worrying about anything infertility related.

@Weswoo will be thinking of you!

@AliceAbsolum not sure if you remember but after so many MCs last year we embarked on a DE route. First FET worked but ended in CP. and 2nd FET is now our baby boy. 💙

DE - how lucky are we to live with this technology now. My only concern is that the miscarriage was probably caused by a large haematoma, the embryo could have been viable and it was my body that mucked it up. But. Could be more complicated than that, could have been the aspirin (a known risk factor in haematomas) who knows. No point worrying about things you can't control.

@Pleaseletitbeme How're you getting on?

@Russkispy - Meant to ask - How many embryos did you have transferred each time?

OP posts:

Russkispy · 24/11/2020 13:00

@AliceAbsolum it was only 1 at a time. Because of my age, (44 now), my doc would only transfer 1 and I never insisted and she didn't want to impose any unnecessary risks if putting 2.

Interesting. I think over 40 is generally where people have 2 put back in the UK....I'm on the fence. DE are so young. My donor was 21! But the transfer is nearly 2500EU, 3 months, hassle, in Cyprus. Hard to know. My clinic is a bit different in that way, she wanted to transfer 3 last time :/

Good to see everyone getting on and with some successes
I’ve got nothing good to report
I’ve just had a lap due to horrendous left sided pelvic pain and they found lots of adhesions.
Have one poor quality one to use up

@Hopingforbabyd How's you? How's Zander?

I'm OK. Living outside my in-laws house in the van... Not exactly sunny Spain. But what can you do. I have 0 urge to do anything to do with ivf, so mentally it's a peaceful place to be. Think I'm going into perimenopause tbh!

@AliceAbsolum were doing just fine thank you and can't quite believe Zander is 10 months old 😳 life has been really strange but! we need to look on the positive side I guess that we're safe and healthy. Oh wow! Yes that's very different to Spain lol but I hope you're making lots of memories, it's a hard time atm isn't it but I'm hoping we can all look back on it with some weird fondness of our weird way of living atm. Bless you, I don't blame you for not thinking too much of it but at the same time I hope you're being kind to yourself? 💕 it's just so hard to think atm isn't it. I'm back to work now...wow it is so surreal being in a world of actual people I don't quite know what to do with myself 😄 x
