Sorry to hear your news @Nan0second but glad you're feeling ok. Think I'm used to the disappointment now, feel numb with a tinge of anger. Trying not to direct the anger at DH but he made us wait so long to TTC and here we are.

Will be thinking of you on your test day @Whatelsecouldibecalled x

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 31/07/2019 14:16

I’ve tested this morning and it’s a BFP.

I’m sorry girls I don’t want to rub salt in the wounds. Xx

Big congratulations @Whatelsecouldibecalled, wasn't sure if your test day was today or tomorrow. Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9months ❤️ xxx

Viletta · 31/07/2019 17:06

@Whatelsecouldibecalled congratulations!!! What wonderful news! Hope all goes smoothly from here! X

Nan0second · 31/07/2019 17:21

@Whatelsecouldibecalled yippee
So excited for you. Hoping for a settled ride for you from this point!

Nan0second · 31/07/2019 17:22

@FingersXssd83 that’s total shite for you. It’s normal to be angry though (for a bit at least!)
Take care of yourself x

IABUQueen · 31/07/2019 17:36

@Whatelsecouldibecalled hope it’s a sticky one!! Congrats. Rest and take everything easy.

@FingersXssd83 hopefully your time will soon come, but it’s ok to ride on the wave of disappointment for now and express that. I’m sure your DH will appreciate the difficult time you are going through so I would get me a punching bag and express away. Try pamper yourself for going through the process as that’s an achievement. I know how it feels like I had recurrent miscarriages and the suspense of not knowing if something will work out is mentally draining. But it will soon become distant history.

This will make you stronger. And will shape your parenting determination in the future. So it’s all a blessing in disguise.

Nan0 give your little one lots of cuddles and let this time remind you of the blessing and miracle she is. But don’t forget that it’s ok to let your emotions overcome you a little.

Am I too late to join this conversation? We had transfer 29/07 so I'm 6dp5dt. Nervous as hell. We had an AB and BA blast transferred as I'm a bit on the mature side. We have ASA so had to have ICSI. We used embryoscope to monitor normal development and all progressed normally till they stopped at various points.

10 egg collection
Day 1: 8 fertilised
Day 3: 6 progressing normally
Day 5: 3 blastocysts

We took the two stronger ones which was kick as the one left behind then stopped developing (he missed his buddies maybe).

Viletta · 04/08/2019 15:04

@magpiecounter welcome! I had ET on the same day as you, this time it was a FET cycle though, we have one more in the freezer. I find distracting myself with visiting friends, going to the beach and ikea is helpful. I don't have any symptoms what so ever, but glad I don't feel af coming.. how are you feeling? When is your test date? Mine is 12 August but I'll test a day early on the weekend. Have any plans for 2ww?

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 15:07

@Viletta I test on Friday 9th. I was naught and tested yesterday. Loads of people have put online they got a BFP at 5dp5dt so I had hope. It was a BFN so I think we've lost one or both embabies.

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 15:13

@Viletta I have no real plans. My sister is coming over tomorrow at some point and I'm going to York on Tuesday to see my parents. My dad had a heart attack the day we transferred so he's just out of hospital now.

Viletta · 04/08/2019 18:15

@magpiecounter sorry to hear about your dad:( I think 5dp is way too early. Although the embryos are 5 days, they need time to start producing enough beta hcg. Fingers crossed it worked! X

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 18:26

Fingers crossed for you too @Viletta I hope we get the same positive result and can have our spring babies 😍

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 18:45

@Viletta do they know the cause of your struggle? Do you have other children?

Viletta · 04/08/2019 19:00

@magpiecounter we have a very severe male factor, which is unexplained. We saw famous Dr Ramsey he said it's probably epigenetic changes due to pollution, use of plastic, pesticides, etc. Clinics jump quite quickly to offering donor sperm, but we want to have our own. We're both 33, ttc for about 4 years, had one failed IVF with nothing to freeze, then one failed IVF with 2 frosties in Czech, and now waiting on our first FET. Hope it works for both of us! 😊

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 19:07

Have they investigated why the first go didn't work? I'm so worried as this is our first go and I'm aware the first time doesn't work in some cases. We have ASA so had to do ICSI which meant it was expensive for us to do.

Viletta · 04/08/2019 20:12

@magpiecounter I think it was down to luck. In Czech they gave me immune suppressor for FET so my immune system won't turn against the embryo. From what read they can't really tell if you have implantation issue unless you've tried many good quality blasts and none of them got to bfp. Try to distract yourself and relax. The 2ww is much out of our control. We need to try to stay sane.

magpiecounter · 04/08/2019 20:38

Well we had ours in the uk and they gave us 40-50% chance of success based on the reasons for needing ICSI, the blastocysts going back and our proven record of health. How many children do you have already @Viletta were they ART or natural? It's been four years ttc for us and it's been hard to understand why.

Viletta · 04/08/2019 22:05

@magpiecounter none so far:(

magpiecounter · 05/08/2019 04:06

Oh wow @Viletta how come you went to the Czech Republic then? Did you not use your three attempts first with the NHS? Ours we paid for privately through Addenbrookes and it was outstanding.

Viletta · 05/08/2019 10:47

@magpiecounter I'm not eligible for nhs, although my DH is from the UK and the issue is with him, not me, the new rule you have to be a citizen to use nhs fertility services. I was really upset when they told me, I work full time and pay nhs surcharges and have no medical issues myself. I tried London Women's Clinic first privately, but we got better results and cheaper in Czech
