Hi everyone,

Thought I'd start a thread for those of us undergoing fertility treatment in July/August.

I'm (hopefully) having a FET late July/early August, anyone else want to hop on this thread for the ride?

Hiya @lola124 I'm ok, it's nearly the weekend. Today was longest day in history I am fully prepared for tomorrow to be the longest Friday in existence! How are you? Xx

Yeah like you say the days seem to be dragging well I’m ok a little bit worried my sore boobs have all of a sudden disappeared and I had a day with no stomach aches but they are now back but they still fill like period pains like before I really don’t know what to think anymore x

Same here @lola124 . My boobs ached Tuesday, nothing Wednesday and now I feel like they are aching again. Period type pains, then I didnt eat my dinner last night due to waves of nausea!; Hoping work is busy today! Did you say your testing Saturday? Xx

No iv got to wait u till Monday your Sunday aren’t you ? iv had no nausea but I have had a few moments where I fill light headed

But then I think is it all in my head 😂 roll on today

Yes I'm Sunday, but today is day 11 or 12, still don't know how it's worked out. So I'm thinking I'm going to do one tomorrow morning. That's how I feel, nausea and light headed but again could be in my head too! I'm sure my non existent boobs have grown too but maybe that's the drugs!

@Lola124 truth be said the symptoms of pregnancy and the side effects from the pessaries and a period are all similar and overlap. you are probably not imagining it just doesn't mean anything ... your only way to know is to test on the date you have been given. all the best

@DawnK77 waiting is so so tough but they give you a specific date to test for a good reason and to avoid false positive and negative xx if you could hold off until the sunday it might be better but i understand it's torture x

@facevalue my logical side says wait till Sunday, my emotional side wants an extra day to cry. I do have quite a busy day tomorrow actually so I'll try to not do it. Half don't want to do it at all! How many more emotions ?! Xx

Transfer done. 1 inside and 2 not looking great waiting until Sunday. I'm not very optimistic but that's just me being me...I always expect the worse. But the one today was as expected - 8 even cells, no fragmentation so I'm gonna have all my fingers and toes crossed because if this fails we're probably any none in the freezer. Anyway, hope everyone else is doing ok.

@DawnK77 I know it's hard but stay strong. If my period doesn't come before I'll test on the 12th Sep....gosh that feels years away

@onisa7 that’s great a 8 cell thats what iv had put back 🙏 , I definitely don’t want to test any earlier just incase it’s negative and I suppose they tell you a date for a reason good luck everyone

For all those waiting to test - I’ll just say I didn't test until my OTD and I was so so glad I waited, that way there was no uncertainty about the result, it was just a pretty definite answer. It was SO hard to wait but I would wait again if I was doing it over. Big hugs, it’s such a hard thing to go through.

In the meantime, a question: my bfn was 14th August and I stopped the meds then. I then got my period on 19th, which was a bit unusual in that it was just 2 days of full flow. Almost immediately went into brown spotting and continued till today (so for about 9 days) and now I am having fresh blood and more of a flow today again. Almost like period is starting again, also have some light cramping.

Has anybody experienced that after a failed ET? It's my first so I don't know what to expect. The clinic said some irregularity is normal as body resetting but not sure at all what that means

@sometimesalways hi. sorry about the bfn. i had similar with a chemical pregnancy .. my first ivf was bfn and i skipped one period then did another cycle with my second had one embryo transferred and bfp my daughter is 2 years now.

i watched some helpful youtube videos about other ladies journeys and ivf/icsi isn't guaranteed but the more you do the more the chance .. also after a cycle fails it's useful to have timeout and review if your current clinic is still able to help you or you might consider attending other free open days in other clinics and see how you feel. it's bloody expensive and it breaks your heart.

i slept most of today- escapism i think and i told my husband that i'm going to hibernate for the next few days and he knows to just get on with it.

@facevalue thank you and sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. but amazing about your DD! Chemicals and all miscarriages are so tough, I can only imagine. I was lucky not to have that experience so far.

I have my DS from a first successful cycle 3.5 years ago and somehow I found this bfn quite hard. I think I had high expectations cause of previous success, even though logically I know what the stats are.

I am doing just that now. Relaxing and waiting for period and waiting a cycle out before trying again

@Onisa7 you never know with the embryos! None of mine looked good at all and yet one plucky little one survived to day 5, so everything crossed! For those 2 and the 1 inside.

I’ve been doing so well at keeping calm the last week and half but last night when lying down my heart was absolutely racing and I’ve hardly been able to sleep overnight - my mind was worrying that my worrying was going to upset things and that it won’t work now. I’m only 8days past my 2 day transfer. Have a busy day today too. Am hoping that will take my mind off it.

@Lola124 please don't give up unless you do your test on test day... my sister had sporting and even heavier and she then assumed not pregnant and didn't even bother on test day.. she later registered in another clinic to start another cycle and they did the test and she was pregnant already! her son is now 3! it's not common but can still happen x

I know I keep reading different stories but I just think it’s period coming strong belly aches and quite a lot of brown discharge I’m trying to be positive but just trying to be realistic at the same time 😢
