Hi everyone

I’m creating a new thread with the hope of finding people with similar dates to me. I am due to start medication on May 13th with the hope egg collection will be June 19th. I’m 34, female factor fertility.

Anyone else out there with similar dates?

Hi @Applecart11 and @CornishMaid1. Good to have you with us on this journey.

@Cauliflower82 I tried After Life but wasn't much into it after first episode. Possibly due to heartbreaking element. I prefer serial killers and 600lb people . See below. I'm not balanced.

@Zest11 You should try and watch the first two seasons if you haven't seen those - that's your distraction right there! I watched each season in under a week; absolutely brilliant. Although obviously fairly harrowing.

Hooray for the utter shit that is Love Island. I'll be mainly binge watching at weekends I think although that slightly negates the distraction point!

@DawnK77 Congrats on the big achievements there. I was particularly impressed by the pyjama element, which I would have been tempted to skip Star

LittleOne3 · 02/06/2019 22:22

Hi lovely ladies, just wanted to update you that I have started with what looks unhappily identical to a period this evening so I don't think this cycle is a success. Will see what happens but if I disappear for a wee while you'll understand why I've gone. DH is being a rock but we're both gearing up for the worst. I will be thinking of you all and wishing you the best anyway xxx

Ps Fuck crystal82

KittyKatSmile · 02/06/2019 22:43

@LittleOne3 that is so disappointing lovely one. It's not necessarily the end but it's not helpful of me to tell you what else it could be.

Keep us updated. Thinking of you. Take care of yourself x

Mrbay · 02/06/2019 23:13

Hi all,

Wow, lots of change since I've been on here last.
Sorry for those of you who didn't get TBFP you wanted.
I've managed to correct dose my burselin tonight (however you spell it!)
Whilst I've been off the drugs, I've been making the most of having a few drinks -whoop!
Not so whoop this morning after watching the football and I won't say how much I drank as I'm slightly embrassed!
So here's to day 1 and I'm hoping that the dreaded low moods do not surface but the nurses have warned that as I'll be injecting the correct dose they may be worse! FML!
I'm currently off horses as my horse and I had a different opinion about striding to a jump. I lost! Queue bruised ribs and a week of whinging.

Ginandtonic31 · 03/06/2019 00:15

@LittleOne3 oh no I'm sorry 😞I'm also terrible for googling and reading old threads. About anything. And then my anxiety is worse.

So last night anxiety kicked in about one thing and I woke up feeling it too. Then I read a post on here about ages people became a mum and people saying 30+ is old (I'm 32) so then I started getting anxious about that. I take what people say as gospel and have these idea of what perfection looks like and because I can't be it I get down!

@Zest11 It's much better than the book! Usually a book is better but the series is definitely better. It's got more twists than the book.

@Cauliflower82 It starts next Sunday. We are out hopefully for our anniversary but I will be watching it when I get back in.

@DawnK77 I'm not far from Yorkshire myself. Hate running but keep saying I will do a Park Run.

Ginandtonic31 · 03/06/2019 00:17

Oh I also meant to add for people looking for things to do. Tonight I've been colouring. But I've just seen the Mumsnet book of the month and thinking of downloading that. It's called Hard Pushed and written by a midwife. Thought it would be good to read now so I can join any of the book of the month discussions.

What's everyone else reading?

KittyKatSmile · 03/06/2019 01:05

@Ginandtonic31 I'm reading The Dreams of Ada about conspiracy in the police force in the US. It's very light hearted :-)

And I'm listening to the Teacher's Pet podcast (true crime). I'm now too scared to go to sleep.

And I'm 39. Fuck those people saying 30 is old. It's probably that bitch Crystal82 who started the thread...

Ginandtonic31 · 03/06/2019 01:28

@KittyKatSmile I bet crystal87 is 27 and has a 'fit' husband.

Booksandstuff · 03/06/2019 03:08

@Spongebob79 They will call me, any time now I think.
I am 8 hours ahead of the UK so already had the blood test. I was there 20 mins before the clinic opened like a saddo Grin
Can't concentrate at work. My heart is racing!

mouse1234567 · 03/06/2019 06:47

@SpongeBob79 congrats on being PUPo. How are you feeling today?

@Booksandstuff good luck for your beta results -I can’t imagine how stressful waiting for that result must be. How many dpo are you for the BETA?

Back to work today after half term -trying to embrace! Just want to get askingFor Thursday off for ET over w done with as soon as possible -i know this should be the least of my problems but hate fitting all this in with work! Have a great week everyone. I have also been thinking love island is perfect timing -dh and I get addicted every year!

mincedpea · 03/06/2019 08:34

Quick update from me - we found out we got four "average" quality for freezing yesterday, so we are quite relieved about that (since we are doing a freeze all, we get no calls between day 1 and day 5, so it was a big worry). I am also happy with the "average" label, average is absolutely fine.

We will probably try our first transfer in July, as they say we've got to take two months off plus deal with the polyp. But that's OK. I'm excited for everyone else on here, and although I hope I won't see anyone else on a June/July/August board, if some of you do end up on there, it would be a nice source of support.

@LittleOne3 Sorry to hear the news, hope you're OK.

@Weenumpty and @Spongebob79 Exciting to hear about the transfers, fingers crossed it's all going well so far!

@Nordicmom Hope you're feeling a bit better today and this week isn't too slow for you.

On the pets front, we have a dog and a cat and they are great fun, even if they are the laziest and most spoilt creatures ever! Thoroughly recommend them as a distraction!

Nordicmom · 03/06/2019 10:15

Littleone3 so sorry if it’s an AF . I feel like mine is only a matter of time too ... today convinced I’m not preg although wondering why i’m so horribly nauseous . Can it really be the progesterone or my adrenal insufficiency... 4 more days then I’ll have to call the clinic and tell them so I’m resigned to a failure since nothing on the tests still .
Ginandtonic31 you are not old !!! I’m
43 😳

Nordicmom · 03/06/2019 10:16

And keeping my fingers grossed for you Booksandstuff!!!!!

Booksandstuff · 03/06/2019 11:21

I got a BFP. First time in almost three years of ttc. Can't quite believe it.

Spongebob79 · 03/06/2019 12:07

@Booksandstuff that’s brilliant congratulations.

KittyKatSmile · 03/06/2019 12:12

@Booksandstuff argh! Amazing news! Congratulations! You seem a little in shock (given I know you so well); how are you feeling?

TwistofFate · 03/06/2019 12:24

@LittleOne3 So sorry to see your update, hope you're ok and take care of yourself.

@Nordicmom Waiting is horrible, and progesterone makes it so hard to tell if it's worked or not. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@Booksandstuff Congrats!!! Grin Delighted for you. It's quite surreal and shocking after years of disappointment every month.

@Ginandtonic31 I'm almost 36 and feel ancient in fertility terms because of all those Daily Mail headlines telling me my fertility will fall off a cliff at my next birthday but just because fertility declines doesn't mean it flatlines and plenty of women still get pregnant naturally and through IVF/ICSI well into their late 30s and 40s.

Booksandstuff · 03/06/2019 14:40

Thanks all. Conscious that it's really really early. So am cautious at this stage.

CornishMaid1 · 03/06/2019 15:36

@Booksandstuff Congratulations!! That is lovely news.

Zest11 · 03/06/2019 16:53

Oh @LittleOne3 I am so sorry, that is so rubbish. Please make sure you take time for yourself. It sounds like you have a great husband too so look after each other. Xx

Spongebob79 · 03/06/2019 17:15

This Crystal82 has got a lot to answer for 😂 I’m 40 and till ttc no1.

@Littleone3 how many dpt are you? Might be worth giving your clinic a call you might just need some more progesterone?

Unfortunately none of my other other embryos were suitable for freezing they were still at the cleavage stage and weren’t progressing so it’s just the 2 on board. Been feeling a little crampy today which I think is normal. Just trying to keep calm and not google!

Zest11 · 03/06/2019 17:17

booksandstuff congratulations, that is amazing, well done! Good luck :)

And that's great mincedpea to have 4 in the freezer is brilliant! I would be so happy with that! Haha we have two cats who are definifely my baby replacements! Blush

mouse1234567 I am a teacher too so know exactly how you feel. Just glad I am having my first go in the summer term when loads of my classes are on exam leave so I am not missing too much. There is some stuff on the NUT website for fertility treatment so that should reassure you.

Ginandtonic31 and KittyKatSmile thank you for that, I will definitely watch it. I just read a book Keep a secret (or something like that by Jane Fallon) although it was pretty trashy and predictable. Also read The Love Letter by Lucinda Riley a couple of months ago which was good and there are some good ones by Belinda Bauer too if you like thrillers!

mouse1234567 · 03/06/2019 20:35

@mincedpea great news about the frozens! In terms of waiting till July -I hope you will be pleasantly surprised with how quick the time will go -I thought it would feel longer. I gave myself 3-4 weeks off the diet and having drinks etc which was lovely. Also you will prob start downregs fairly soon.

@LittleOne3 so sorry i missed your message earlier -I’m sorry that you feel AF is arriving -it’s an awful.

@Booksandstuff congrats great news!

@SpongeBob79 sorry to hear about the frozens but fingers crossed for your two on board.

@Zest11 pleased to hear you are a fellow teacher -my head was actually lovely about the day off and I didn’t need to worry at all! Silly me! I’m Primary so classes are the same as usual-but it’s nice to see the sun etc to help with the mood and also if it goes wrong to know I can book some ace holidays for summer hols!

Gearing up for love island soon! I’m finding days are going so slowly and I don’t even have the embryo on board yet! I feel for you two week waiters. I also hate these progesterone injections and suppositories. And my blood thinning injection joins the party tomo night! Apart from tiredness no really symptoms yet tho-I’m lucky.

Cauliflower82 · 03/06/2019 21:09

@booksandstuff ongratulations, that’s fabulous news :). Excellent stuff!

@mincedpea July is next month! That’s not too long at all - hopefully the time will absolutely fly by.

@littleone3 oh I really hope you’re wrong about AF coming. Thinking of you 💐

I don’t know if it’s because I’m back at school but I’m feeling properly miserable today 😖. I can’t even be bothered to stay up for Love Island so it will be getting recorded.
