Hi everyone

I’m creating a new thread with the hope of finding people with similar dates to me. I am due to start medication on May 13th with the hope egg collection will be June 19th. I’m 34, female factor fertility.

Anyone else out there with similar dates?

Girls, please could I have your help here, my head is all over the place.

Can the burserelin give a false, faint bfp? I POAS using a sainsburys on day 21 before starting the meds just to check and bfn obviously. As there was a 2nd in the pack I tested out of curiosity yesterday (9DPO) and as nothing popped up immediately, I put it down and forgot about it. Then I picked it up later and there is a faint line. I subsequently did a CB rapid response last night and again this morning and BFN.

I have no idea what to think...is it the burserelin or is it my body trying to get pg but most likely a cp? Has it only showed up on the sainsburys as they are the most sensitive? Confused

mouse1234567 · 02/06/2019 08:50

Hi Zest11 I’m not an expert so this is just my opinion. Was it a blue dye test? If so I have had indent lines appear on them after the test time-was the line there within the test time? If t wasn’t there within the test time I would be dubious. Could you check with a FRER?

I know my clinic have said use protection during downregs so I guess there is a chance of getting pregnant otherwise why would they tell me that? Sorry I can’t be more help. Hopefully the clinic can check for you.

KittyKatSmile · 02/06/2019 08:50

@Zest11 I doubt the buserelin can give a false positive but it's also pretty early. I hate this advice but I think you're going to have to just wait this out and see what happens in a few days. Maybe try FRER then. When are you due to start stims?

Zest11 · 02/06/2019 09:00

Thank you mouse1234567 and KittyKatSmile for your such speedy responses. It so helps to have someone not caught up in the emotion to think logically. I don't even know how long the test time was, I think I gave it about 30 seconds before putting it down. However I have heard bad stories about the sainsburys ones and I ought to take on board the others were bfns. Not due to start stimming for about 10 days so I know all I can do is wait it out. I guess I'm a bit more on alert as I had a natural cp about 8 months ago. Thank you so much for your grounded responses.

Cauliflower82 · 02/06/2019 09:11

@notdicmom I’m so sorry to hear all that you’ve dealt with and all so recently on top of all this too. I hope you’re due some much needed happiness.

@kittykatsmile thank you so much - I try but worry it sometimes comes out all wrong. Excellent news on your run too! I need to do more stuff like that. Good for you!!

@weenumpty yay, one on board! Best of luck now during the horrid tww

Hay fever sufferers - I had a bit of a meltdown the other day and rang the pharmacist at the hospital where we picked up our meds. They told me that, if needed, I could take a tablet with cetitizine (like Benadryl) and I could use nasal spray (but only if I wasn’t using the spray for fertility treatment - I’m not. If you are, you definitely can’t use spray!). She did tell me it’s best to avoid loratadine. She wouldn’t tell me it’s absolutely fine to take antihistamines but I got the impression I could. I don’t think that’s sounding too reassuring 😂. Anyway, I’ve just taken one when I’ve needed one - two in total this week which I don’t think is too bad.

@zest11 this whole thing is such a mindfeck - hope you’re doing okay. How are you feeling about stimming? I’m hoping to start Wednesday 🤞

@weenumpty that's great news that you had a transfer. I don't know how I would distract myself - normally I throw myself into work if I need a distraction, but prob not a great option if it is high stress. If I had enough annual leave I would probably go on holiday - spend a week exploring a different town/city or somewhere with good outdoor walks.

Zest11 · 02/06/2019 11:35

Cauliflower82 don't worry about the antihistamines. When you go on Wednesday, will you be seeing the consultant or one of the nurses then? They will be able to give you the right answer as HF is so common. Or if that is too long to wait ring your clinic when they open tomorrow and ask. They will be used to phonecalls from clients all the time :) Also, you are only on the downregging bit now so it will be okay even if they say it's best not to take them.

I hope you get the go ahead on Weds, I am looking forward to starting and things moving along. Have you had any side effects from the down regging? I was told I might get some after a week or so of injections but nothing yet...

Cauliflower82 · 02/06/2019 11:47

@zest11 I imagine one of the nurses but I’m not too sure tbh, but I’ll deginitely double check. I’ve had a couple of side effects but nothing too bad, mainly just incredibly sore boobs and bloating at times (but this seems to be easing now). I was really worried it would affect my mood but it hasn’t - I’m still just my normal self. I feel like you, I’m eager to get started on the next stage now. I keep thinking I’m about half of the way through now of all the injections Hmm

TMI alert

@zest11 I do worry I haven’t had a bleed yet but I started my buserelin on day 2 so I was already bleeding. The nurse said to expect more after about day 10 or so but nothing all. I also still have LOADS of ewcm and have done for about 10-12 days now. This makes me feel a bit concerned 😔

Afternoon all, just a quick update from me had 2 little embryos transferred this morning, 1 fully formed blast and the other a forming blast. They will check the 3 others in the morning and see if they’re suitable for freezing. And now it’s waiting time, and sleeping time! Pup was up most the night but DH was brilliant with her.

Cauliflower82 · 02/06/2019 14:57

@spongebob79 fabulous news! I hope this tww goes over quickly. Hope you’re enjoying the time with your puppy too. I’m currently reading in bed with my collie by my side 🐕. A girl’s best friend 💕

Great news @Spongebob79! Everything crossed.

Have my beta tomorrow morning. No idea either way at this stage. Trying not to read in to symptoms. Doubt I will sleep tonight!

TwistofFate · 02/06/2019 15:14

@spongebob79 That's great news, fingers crossed one (or both) sticks! Hopefully the pup will help distract you during the 2ww and it'll pass quickly. X

@Booksandstuff That's how I felt too, the waiting and uncertainty are horrible, I just wanted to know one way or the other. Even if you can't sleep, hope you manage to rest and relax. X

I had a bit of scare last night, woke up with really bad cramps, they didn't last long but very sore. No spotting or blood today though so hoping it's just stretching and not something going wrong.

LittleOne3 · 02/06/2019 15:24

@spongebob and @weenumpty So pleased you both have your wee bundles on board! Fingers crossed for tomorrow spongebob 🤞.

I am d5p5dt and yesterday found some stupid chat website that said some people tested positive on d4p5dt and so proceeded to take FOUR tests yesterday. I am very disappointed in myself!!!

I then got depressed in the middle of the night because I decided I wasn't pregnant because of all my negative tests and my boobs feel a bit less sore than usual. So at 0430 I started reading various chat threads on IVF, many of which ended in pregnancies which made me cry. At 0600 my husband found me sobbing because it was just so emotional that 'Crystal82' got a BFP finally after such a difficult journey in 2015 on 'Communitymums.co.uk' or the like.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Husband is doing well on distraction today so no tests so far 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Zest11 · 02/06/2019 15:40

@Cauliflower82 I think with all the messing around with hormones it's impossible to tell how each of us will react. The waiting around and uncertainty is just so tough!

That's great spongebob and weenumpty I hope the 2ww goes quick!

LittleOne I wish I could give you some words of comfort but I am really poor at these kinds of things. We both know that other people's stories give us hope but also upset us. If it helps you are not alone at all and I have had days and nights where I have scrolled through lots of old forum posts and cried at all the "crystal82's" out there. It all just builds up in our heads and makes us upset. Well done to your hubby though for helping you out today :) I hope you feel better xx

KittyKatSmile · 02/06/2019 16:15

Crystal82 can really just fuck right off with her bloody BFP. We should be able to switch that shit off on our phones when we're in a strong place and never be able to access them again.

We need a list of distraction techniques; so far we've only got the jigsaw and the puzzle book. I've been knitting (yes I know, I'm rock n roll) and renting out the family home I've bought for the family I don't have on Airbnb. What else??

By the way: please don't go and pass on this information to my Big Brother clinic; I realise it may look like I'm not completely sane Grin

Courage ladies. And fuck Crystal82.

Cauliflower82 · 02/06/2019 16:59

Love Island starts tomorrow - will we be watching that? This could be a good distraction, I guess. Is it tomorrow? I mean to watch it each year but always get a bit lost.

OP posts:
KittyKatSmile · 02/06/2019 17:01

Oh yes @Cauliflower82! Yes we are going to watch it! I consider myself far better than that utter rubbish and then watch it religiously. Ha ha.

Ginandtonic31 · 02/06/2019 17:21

I watched Love Island through my stimms last year. It was a welcome distraction! I will also be watching series 3 of Handmaid's Tale next week.

CornishMaid1 · 02/06/2019 17:32

Hi everyone. Good luck to everyone already in the tww.

I should be nearly done with downregging now and have baseline scan on Wednesday. All being well I can then start stims.

Spongebob79 · 02/06/2019 17:43

@Booksandstuff good luck for tomorrow it’s so nerve wracking, do you get your result straight away or have to wait for a phone call later?

I’m loving the jigsaw idea, I’m off work for 2 weeks with pup now so I might order one on amazon.

Zest11 · 02/06/2019 18:24

Hahaha KittyKatSmile absolutely love your post about Crystal82! Regarding things to do...umm..reading a book? Trashy magazines? Sudoku lol? Yoga?? (I was told not to do any exercise which raises body temperature in tww :( yes, I think we need some more ideas! Can anyone else recommend any TV series? Ginandtonic31 I think I will binge watch some HT...not even seen the first series despute reading the book years ago!

And yes Cauliflower82 def will be watching Love Island although I think we will need to put a spoiler alert on our posts if we talk about it haha. I might save some up and binge watch some during the tww...if I can resist that is!!

Booksandstuff hope all goes well tomorrow!

Welcome CornishMaid1 hope you get the go ahead on Wednesday, keep us posted!

DawnK77 · 02/06/2019 19:11

Hi all,

Great news sponge bob, and I hope the puppy settles in, and keeps you busy xx

Kittykat, I'm in Yorkshire, I have been going for a run all day today, all I've done is have a bath and change PJs lol.

Yes cauliflower, I've been looking forward to it starting to hopefully take my mind of all this one hour a day! Last year I didn't want to watch it, but became addicted lol. Other half says he is refusing this year's but he said this last year and was addicted so we shall see haha. Xx

Applecart11 · 02/06/2019 19:23

Hey all, been quietly keeping up with everyone’s news. Sorry for those who didn’t get the news they wanted this time and I have my fingers crossed for those of you in 2ww.
I started stimming last Tuesday and have my first scan tomorrow. Other than feeling more tired than usual, I am feeling fairly normal.
Hope everyone has had a restful weekend x

Cauliflower82 · 02/06/2019 19:26

@ginandtonic31 ooh when is the handmaid’s tale, series 3 starting? That I am excited for.

@cornishmaid1 I have my scan on Wed too to hopefully start stimming! We’ve exactly the same dates :).

It appears to many of us are watching Love Island so I’m going to make a conscious effort to watch it too, and from the beginning. I do love trash tv!

Has anyone watched After Life on Netflix? Heartbreakingly sad but hilarious all the same. Six episodes. 10 out of 10.
