Starting a new thread for all of us going through IVF/ICSI in January/February!

First round of ICSI for us. I’m on the last week of my birth control pill before starting Gonal F injections on the 18th Jan, with the hope of egg collection on the 30th and transfer on the 4th Feb! I’m egg sharing so have been on the pill a while to sync my cycle with the woman recovering half of my eggs Smile.

Is anyone else at a simile stage?

@BunnieBoo91 That is just great news! I know it sounds childish but I secretly wished that if you are going to get a positive result, I am going to have one too. Grin

Aww congrats @bunnieboo91!! That’s amazing!

Well I’m out now, went for 3rd scan today and they only found one big follicle so my IVF is cancelled. IUI appt on Wednesday but not holding out any hope. Devastated and have no idea what to do next but good luck to you all! I really hope this IVF shitemare turns around for you and you get your dream! Xox

@Scottish80 oh no I’m sorry, it’s the exact same as me. If they say no good for iui then ask for trigger shot that’s what I did ( of course as long as all ok in that respect) x it is devastating I know. I’m still not sure where my head is at in respect of trying next month. I can’t see how it can be different each month but that’s what they are saying. In other words if you don’t respond one month doesn’t mean you won’t the next. Just keep going x

@intrigued2018 are you having transfer today? Good luck if you and have my fingers crossed for you x

@Scottish80 - sorry you haven't had much luck with the stims, fingers crossed for the IUI or at least doing the trigger shop.

@Realitysucks - transfer is today. Just on my way to the clinic now, feeling excited and nervous at the same time! The nerves aren't helping my full bladder either🤣 the clinic called this morning and we have at least two at blastocyst stage, 2 are out and another 2 are still tbc so at least we know transfer is going ahead. Just need to decide whether to transfer one and freeze the other or transfer two. X

@intigued2018 oh my how exciting!!! I’m keeping everything crossed!!! That’s great news on eggs!!! I know it’s a personal choice but if it were me I’d have two transferred as given only a couple, I wouldn’t want to risk the freeze process. You have to decide what you think is best though x Maybe the others have caught up in the meantime!! Good luck 😀😀😀

@intrigued2018 just seen the last bit of your message at the top. I’m just working all week, so nothing planned. DS has an orthodontic op Wednesday despite being 17 mum is required 🙄 tryinng to use work to take mind off it all but it’s not working ! Have hardly got anything done this morning and what I have done has taken three times as long as normal!

@Intrigued2018 DH not back till a week today. Maybe I’m grumpy as I know they are sunning it and bombing down mountains. Whilst I’m at work all week. Boys annual ski trip 🙄

Thank you all, transfer done. Back home about to watch the video they gave us of the embryo growing since EC. We ended up having one put back and having one Frostie as apparently slightly higher success rates with 1 and we have the option of a FET at a later date if we aren't successful. Test date next Friday (8th March).

@Realitysucks - DH timing of going away doesn't help things at all, like you I always get a bit grumpy when I'm stuck at home working bored so can just imagine. Hopefully the time passes quickly. Xx

@intrigued2018 Haaaaaa the dreaded TWW! I had cramping literally the day after and had cramping all through my TWW! I know everyone is different but thought I would give you a heads up ☺️

Congrats @boboelephant and everyone else getting a BFP! I got mine on Friday and I’m over the moon! I was convinced I was out as it felt like AF arriving but turns out not 😊 I’ve been comparing the symptoms to my previous pregnancy that ended in MMC during which I didn’t get any symptoms whatsoever. Scan is booked for the 14th and hoping this is a strong one. For now I’m going to enjoy this and not worry about the outcome. Fingers crossed for many more BFPs!

@bunnieboo91 Congratulations! That's fantastic news. There are online calculators that you can select whether you had a 3 day or 5 day transferred, and it'll work out your due date from there! The clinic should also tell you when you have your scan. Exciting!

I had my FET today. I'm officially in the 2WW, testing a week on Friday. I work at home on Fridays, so whether it's good news or bad at least I won't have to go into the office!

Is anyone else having to inject Clexane? I did my first one this evening - unlike the cetrocide it's ready mixed so I didn't have that problem, but the needle really hurts, loads more than the meds I used for EC! Or perhaps I've just blurred out the stims - it was April last year so a long time ago now.

I've also had to double the steroids but I can stop taking the Viagra and the aspirin. But I've had to add calcium supplements. I'm away for work for the next couple of days and was packing all this stuff up (along with all the epilepsy meds I take) and DH was just looking at it bewildered about what I take when. I'm not sure what exactly is making me extremely hungry all the time and it's really difficult to narrow it down.

I am also on Clexane, I haven't had to do it myself as DH does it. The injection itself is no problem but afterwards it stings massively (worse than the stims) I'm a few days in now and they have got a little better. Also on steroids, this is what will be making you hungry as this is one of the lovely side effects! It is overwhelming packing all meds to go away and feels never ending! Good luck figuring everything out xxx

@Bumblebee25 Oh wow congratulations on your BFP! I was the same with my previous pregnancy and had zero symptoms and this one I had AF cramps! Sneaky little things tricking us like that! My scan isn't till the 20th so have to wait another three weeks to know I am all clear!

Can someone put my mind at rest and that it hasn't implanted in my tubes?!?! Is it rear or unlikely? I overthink and can't bare to worry for another three weeks! Confused

I literally feel like AF is coming!!! Looking back at last cycle looks like AF came 12 days after ovulation! So thats looking like Thursday. I think I’m out girls 😞
