Hi everyone, so we saw the nurse earlier this week and our plan has been set. We are on long protocol and will be looking at starting on my December cycle meaning that I will be due to start buserelin around 6th jan with EC being end of Jan.

Anyone else looking at a December/ January cycle?

Thanks @Positivity86 I've pretty much got the same things packed. I've got a book but don't expect to have the time to read it.

@brighteye3986 wish I had booked the following few days off! Only finally feeling more myself today.
Wear comfortable clothes and take warm socks. I was allowed to wear them whilst they collected. Which was nice. Apart from that maybe a book? As there is a wait either side.

Ginger951 · 11/02/2019 08:43

@cornishmaid1 and @brighteye3986 how did you get on?

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 11/02/2019 10:48

@Rememberallball exciting day, one or two?

@cornishmaid1 and @brighteye3986 hope it all went well and you are not feeling to sore!

@Ginger951 how are feeling today?

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 10:50

Thanks @Ginger951 EC went well and they managed to collect 18! I'm surprised with the number but now it's the waiting game for tomorrow to see how many fertilise.

I hope your EC went well @CornishMaid1

We did our test and I am very happy to report a BFP, totally over the moon. Going to call the clinic at lunch. :)
I have officially have no symptoms apart from a very mild cramping every now and again.

We had a BFP last time and unfortunately it ended in a chemical pregnancy so we are excited but also holding our breath xxx

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 11:02

Congratulations @PostiveThinkingRainbow sending you lots of dust and prayers for a sticky one this time around ✨

@brighteye3986 that's a great number! Well done! How you feeling?

@PositiveThinkingRainbow congratulations! Got everything crossed for a sticky one this time!

Feeling much better thank you! Still bloated but don't feel like my inside are about to explode whenever I walk.
Transfer day tomorrow, oddly excited. Plus hubby now as the all clear from both of his surgreys so we can finally move forward.

Positivity86 · 11/02/2019 12:01

Congratulations @PostiveThinkingRainbow such great news!

Great number of eggs @brighteye3986 😊

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 12:31

Thanks @Positivity86 and @Ginger951 I'm not feeling too bad. DH driving home made me feel a little sore but other than that I'm ok. A little bit of bleeding which feels worse than it actually is. Now for an afternoon of rest and getting DH to do everything for me! 😀

@positivethinkingrainbow congratulations, great news!
@brighteye3986 great number of eggs-exactly the same number I had!

CornishMaid1 · 11/02/2019 13:11

Congratulations @positivethinkingrainbow

Well done @brighteye3986 That's a great number so fingers crossed.

I'm just popping in to update and then will probably be off thread for a while.

I had EC this morning and I'm absolutely gutted. Of the 7 follicles there was only one egg. I'm really heartbroken. I know there is still a chance but I have lost hope now and full expect them to say no tomorrow.

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 13:56

Oh @CornishMaid1 I'm so sorry. There is still a chance it could work though so don't give up all hope. Thinking of you and sending you lots of love

@womaninkent I know. I had to go through the whole feed as DH was asking me questions about your experience etc. Hopefully 18 is as lucky a number for me as it was you 🤞🏻

Still don’t know @PositiveThinkingRainbow - scan was supposed to be tomorrow but, due to bad weather on our transatlantic crossing, we’re running at least 7 hours late and so don’t arrive till mid afternoon. Have rescheduled the scan to Wednesday morning at 10:30am Bermudan time!!

Positivity86 · 11/02/2019 15:34

@CornishMaid1 I'm sorry to hear that but it only takes one! I can imagine you must feel disheartened but take 1 day at a time. Sending lots of love xx

Positivity86 · 11/02/2019 17:11

A little update: I'm 7dp 5dt and went for a scan today. I'm very bloated and started getting abdomen pain and a bit of breath shortness at the weekend. Turns out I've got moderate OHSS with fluid in my tummy and a bit in my chest. Ovaries are so big they are touching 😮
I felt fine after my transfer and it came on quickly 5 days in. Can hardly walk today it's so painful. Just got to rest and drink lots of water...been signed off work for a week. The nurse did say it could be a positive sign that the embryo has implanted 🙏🏻 Our OTD isn't until Sunday though...feels like a long wait still!

Hope everyone else is ok? x

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 18:40

@Positivity86 take care of yourself and rest up.

I've just woken up after a little nap and have the side effects of EC now. The worst part is needing to go to the toilet (2) and the pressure it puts on my stomach. Although I'm grateful I can go as I know some get constipation and I'm not sure I could deal with that too.

Sorry it's a bit of question day for me today...with pessaries, I asked the hospital if I needed to take them at any set times and they said no.... do I need to do anything special to make sure they work? I also know there is lots of debates about front or back... sorry if TMI... what's your best advice??

OP posts:
womaninkent · 11/02/2019 19:50

@cornishmaid1. Don’t give up hope. It does only take one!

womaninkent · 11/02/2019 19:54

@brighteye3986 there are not set times but you need to take them at roughly the same times each day. Given that they need to be about 6-8 hours apart there was not a lot of choice about times-I aim for roughly 7am 2pm 10pm.
Also (sorry tmi) I have tried both back and front and dislike both pretty much equally but for different reasons.

brighteye3986 · 11/02/2019 20:02

Thanks @womaninkent. I think I will try and stick to 7am, 2pm and 9pm. I am rarely awake past 9pm most days. Do you think this will be too long between the last one and the first one the next day though? Considering they do say 6-8 hours between each.... otherwise I'm looking at 6am, 2pm and 10pm....

I think I will try front.... I suffer with IBS and am worried I will eat something that will trigger it and the pessary won't work.

Hi all,

Unfortunately my cycle ended in a bfn. Period was already on day 4 by the test day.
:(

I have fibroids half of which are in my lining which I am going to work in removing then trying again. All of which could take up to 7 months so devastating.

Congrats to all the ladies with bfp and good luck to everyone else! Hope you all have a good ending x

womaninkent · 11/02/2019 21:33

@kay2705 so sorry to hear that. Really hope it works for you next time.

@brighteye3986 i’m sure that will be fine. To be honest I only very roughly manage my times!

brighteye3986 · 12/02/2019 09:42

Just had the call from the embryologist to say that there were 14 mature and 12 have fertilised! Now just got to wait and see how many there are at day 3 and then hopefully they get to day 5! A long way to go but it's also good news
