September/October IVF

Hey,

I've had my appointment through finally to start my first round of IVF. Our consultation is September and hoping if we start on CD21 (no idea if we will, just what I'm presuming from research) then we will be good to start just after the middle of the month. Anyone else the tentatively waiting for a September start?

Thanks @Dia12 you’re completely right - this whole process screws with your mind so much - I guess that’s why they say it’s like a rollercoaster. One minute You’re so happy and positive and the next minute sobbing your heart out for no apparent reason - I blame the hormones!

Hi @Peanut1980 and thanks. Picking myself back up now and giving myself a stern talking to! I’ve never managed to achieve even so much as a chemical pregnancy so have nothing to compare to other than previous IVF cycle where I felt masses going on and had every symptom under the sun! Now telling myself that that cycle failed so maybe the fact that this is so different is a good thing?

Will you test early or hold out til OTD?

@crittertamer I’m not going to test early. If I had more symptoms I’d been tempted to but I’m just going to wait to next Thursday to test. What about you?

@Peanut1980 same here - I HATE peeing on sticks having never in my life ever seen a positive one (except photos of other people’s on MN) and would rather enjoy the hope for a little bit longer than torture myself by looking at BFNs every morning! My OTD isn’t until a week onMonday but I have a short LP naturally so AF is due this Monday orTuesday. If I make it past then without bleeding I’ll feel happier😊

@crittertamer I have read a lot of posts where ladies had no symptoms and still got their BFP. 3dp5dt is still very early for symptoms though. When do you test? D x

October 22nd if AF doesn’t show before then

@AniSL ah I haven't heard of the natural fertility plan, that's reassuring it's saying similar things to It Starts With. Thanks for the tip on melatonin. Also fizzy fangs 😂

I’m so sorry. It’s me again. Filling up this page today. Well I just went for a wee and had a creamy pink discharge. It’s either the start of AF or I’d really like to hope it’s implantation related 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@Peanut1980 ooh fingers crossed it’s IB 🤞seems too early for AF unless you normally have a short LP like me?

@CritterTamer Last time I was convinced I was going to get a BFN as I had no symptoms - turned out I was just one of those people who don't get any!

I've just had FET, now sitting in a cafe waiting for acupuncture appt. I was slightly bemused this morning when the embryologist called me to let me know it had thawed successfully and said that it was absolutely beautiful. Can an embryo be beautiful? I've looked at the pictures and nope, don't see it!

I came alone, DH went to work - being self-employed he can't take too many days off. I'm exhausted now and really wish the clinic wasn't so far from home.

@Ginandtonicformeplease - congrats on your transfer. My embryologist kept saying that the embryos were beautiful too - I guess they are just trying to reassure and relax us 😊 did they tell you the grade?

Try to relax for the rest of the day - my DH couldn’t make it to our first transfer too - i know it sucks 😢 he made it to this one and the difference in him this time is amazing - because he saw the embryos and the embryoscope video he’s so much more invested this time round and so excited bless him. I just hope my stupid body doesnt let him down!

@crittertamer im due on my period on Monday. I’m usually regular but who knows what would happen after all the medication.

@Peanut1980 if anything the meds should delay AF rather than bring it on early - I’m so excited for you xxx

I've booked me and DH a massage tomorrow. My DH has just found out that it looks like his dad has advanced cancer so with looking after me and his family he had a silly amount on his plate and I wanted to do something nice to help him take his mind off things X

Hi @guio was that your first one? Mine did the same the first time but then counted and measured the 2nd and 3rd time x

Evening all.

Day 9 scan for me today - got to go back again on Monday so I’ve got an extra couple of days of stimms to look forward to. Having said that, I’m not really getting any side effects from the jabs which I’m deeply suspicious about!

Right ovary now has 10 follicles with the 2 biggest at 13mm. Left ovary still only 1 tiny follicle so I think we can all assume there is nothing special going on in there. Poor little thing ☹️

Hope all of you are doing well whatever stage you’re at today - it’s not easy doing this, but we are all Goddesses and shouldn’t forget that.

@parksandrecreation - 10 is a good number for one side! Good luck for your next scan on Monday and don’t worry about the lack of side effects - I had absolutely none from either of my rounds too (apart from a few bruises) 😊
