September/October IVF

Hey,

I've had my appointment through finally to start my first round of IVF. Our consultation is September and hoping if we start on CD21 (no idea if we will, just what I'm presuming from research) then we will be good to start just after the middle of the month. Anyone else the tentatively waiting for a September start?

Thanks everyone. I’m so so shocked. I was so sure it hadn’t worked. Burst into tears when I told DH. He didn’t know I was testing so was very shocked. He’s told me not to get excited as it is very early but to be honest I’m just estatic to have even got this far. My first BFP after 3 years of nothing.

Tryingtobemum European clinics do ICSI as standard but we had to have ICSI after TESE as DH is completely azoospermic, not one swimmer in any samples. TESE found lots of good swimmers and we froze thrm back in May and used them this cycle

Hey ladies. So my little embryo is in there. Feeling a little bummed because two of my three hadn’t expanded. The third was lagging behind but they’re going to call me with an update tomorrow to see if it’s caught up and is suitable for freezing. We did have choice to wait until day 6 but we run the risk of losing them all. So my heads all over the place at the moment but it’s in there and it’s still in the race. Fingers crossed. I’ve read such mixed reviews about them online with some positive outcomes 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 It’s a 4BB. We only had one put in although we had option to put two in x

I had my scan yesterday before transfer, lining looking good apparently and transfer set up for Friday. Hopefully my boss will be ok about the short notice time off.

@CritterTamer I'm having a frozen transfer so the frostie is all ready to go. When I had EC it had to be a freeze all due to OHSS. First FET resulted in a BFP but then miscarriage. I can't help but think that with that BFP I've used up my successful cycle statistically. DH tells me not to be so ridiculous but then he's one of life's optimists.

@Ginandtonicformeplease ah yes I remember now that you were having a FET this time - I know what you mean about DH being the eternal optimist, mine is exactly the same - doesn’t even think IVF is necessary lol.

I don’t think you need to worry that you’ve used up your chance though - the statistics are based on per embryo transfer not per individual, plus it’s worked once for you so you know it can work again 😊

Great to hear that you have a little embie on board @peanut1980, hope it’s a sticky one. Did you chose to transfer just the one to avoid the risk of twins?

I’m in for another monitoring scan on Monday , hopefully making enough progress for an egg collection this week sometime. I’m starting to feel quite uncomfortable and bloated.
