September/October IVF

Hey,

I've had my appointment through finally to start my first round of IVF. Our consultation is September and hoping if we start on CD21 (no idea if we will, just what I'm presuming from research) then we will be good to start just after the middle of the month. Anyone else the tentatively waiting for a September start?

I’ve been constipated since egg collection. After chugging on a bottle of laxatives this morning I thought i was close to death on the toilet a minute ago 🤣🙈 Stomach is starting to feel better now 🤞

Oh dear @Peanut1980 that sounds unpleasant! Hope you’re feeling back to normal soon. I’d forgotten how uncomfortable the aftermath of EC is - in quite a lot of pain at the moment so cuddled up in bed with DH looking after me for the rest of the day 😊

@crittertamer. I feel ya! I’m better today but I found after the ec and the next day really uncomfortable. Stay in bed and snuggle up. Hope you feel more comfortable soon xx

Been avoiding mumsnet as it makes me think about what I’m going through too much. 2ww is nearly over and I’m due to test on Sunday. I am really not feeling positive. I really wouldn’t wish this process on my worst enemy.

@teajenny81 No I won’t test early. DH doesn’t want us to and to be honest I’m dreading doing it as I just don’t think it has worked.

@botanica No I haven’t had any symptoms at all and have a really bad cold and can’t take any drugs apart from paracetamol so fee really rubbish. I’m sorry to be moaning when you have had a tough week. I didn’t realise how much the mental side of all this would hit me

Happy Fri-yay all 😘 Just got a call from the embryologist. 3 of the 5 fertilised are great quality. The other two are developing but not as fast as the other. So I’m currently set for a day 5 transfer on Sunday morning 😁🤞 I seriously hope the wind in my stomach has gone by then. I swear never in my whole life have I farted as much as this plus I never fart in front of my husband so I’m always in stealth mode when doing it 👀

Hello ladies - just had my Day 2 baseline scan whilst having the m*tha of all periods so that was fun for all of us.
4 follicles on my right ovary but only 1 in my teeny tiny left ovary. Lining 2.3mm.
Going home to shoot up with a ton of weird hormones and accept that this is genuinely happening.
Good luck to everyone expecting news today - and good luck to those little eggs fertilising everywhere.

Day 2 report for me is 10 grade A 4 cell split embies. Last time they were great on day 3 and then didn't make it to day 5 so fingers crossed

Parksandrecreation those injectables will beef everything up so good luck

Clinic called with fertilisation results and we have 11 of 12 fertilised this morning so very happy with that 😊 now the next nervous wait to see how many make it to day 5 begins 🤞

@botanica I'm so sorry to read this. what an awful shock, I can't imagine how awful that must have made you both feel. You put yourselves through so much and to not even have a chance is horribly cruel. I'm sorry that your workplace is so harsh too, is that even legal what they're saying?

@AniSL that's an amazing egg haul, and great news for your 8 embies. Did they do IVF or ICSI?

@crittertamer I really admire your prep. I've been on ubiquinol this time too, and been trying to do regular meditation, yoga and acupuncture, but its been a bit hit and miss at times! Great news on your embies, fingers crossed

Some great news in the group - congrats to @crittertamer @aniSL.
I’ve just had my day 8 monitoring scan and I have around 8 follicles that seem to be growing well. Waiting to hear back from the clinic to see if I should reduce my drug dosage.
It’s such a long drawn out procedure - I’m starting to feel impatient now.

I have caved 2 days early. I actually can’t believe it!! My DH doesn’t know yet. I feel sick.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!! Woo hoo!!! 🎉
